Like fantasy? Record of Lodoss War OVA and RG Veda are for you. Both have good amounts of dark plot and interesting characters that you'll probably find enjoyable. RG Veda definitely has a more apocalyptic sort of feel, but hey! I still think you'd like one if you liked the other.

Now, regardless of the fact that these are both made by CLAMP, I still am recommending this pair for unrelated reasons. The dark aspect and fantasy is prevalent in both of these, with a giant group of characters who each has their own quirks. The lengths are much different, but still, try one out if you liked the other.

Weathering Continent and RG Veda are both fantasy looks at a group of people who are wandering the world. Both are also unusually dark, which is a plus considering most fantasies out there are light and fluffy. If you enjoyed the mood or feel of one, check out the other.
