Upon investigating, Junki inadvertently discovers a golden bracelet; and coincidentally, a large extraterrestrial being simultaneously crashes nearby and begins attacking everything in sight! Much to Junki's surprise, a golden mechanical giant named Reideen then appears and battles the alien with Junki as its pilot. After the battle is over Junki realizes that he was chosen to be the pilot of Reideen, and that he is the only one who can stop the aliens! Now, he must continue to live his life as a regular high school student, in addition to piloting Reideen when new threats emerge!
