Synopsis:

Ranma, raised to be a man among men, has a bit of a problem: he is half woman! While training in China he fell into a strange magic spring at Jusenkyo. Now, he is eternally cursed to change into a beautiful woman whenever he is hit by cold water, but that may be the least of his problems; his father has betrothed him to marry! There's never a dull day for Ranma as he attempts to find a cure for his curse, train to become stronger, and grapple with the fact that half of himself may be more feminine than his fiancée!

Rurouni Kenshin

Rurouni Kenshin

In the revolutionary Meiji period, Japan is undergoing enormous political change. It is a time when vagabonds and terrorists will use any method to prevent the modernization of their country, even if it means trampling on the innocent in the process. In such a time, Himura Kenshin, a wandering samurai, has dedicated his life to protecting the weak and desperate peasants from those who would oppress them. However, Kenshin has a dark past which threatens to destroy the values he is fighting for. When he meets his new friends Kaoru, Sanosuke, and Yahiko, and tries to build a peaceful life with them, events conspire against him. Can Kenshin overcome the demons within and without, and finally ensure the peaceful future that Japan deserves?

While a bit more serious than ranma, it still has a lot of comedy (and lets face it, most of kenshins figts are no more believable/serious...) yet this still has a good dose of the akward romance that defines ranma
NekoRocket
Martial arts action with a healthy dose of comedy, Ranma and Kenshin each are masters of their art. However, they are each faced with challengers seeking to be known as the strongest by defeating them. If you love fight scenes (and we know you do) be sure to look through these lengthy legacies.

Seto no Hanayome

Seto no Hanayome

While visiting his hometown, junior high school student Michishio Nagasumi's life was changed forever when he nearly drowned. Though he was saved by a mermaid named San, there’s a catch -- her family is part of a merfolk mafia, and they abide by a strict rule: If a mermaid is discovered by a man, either he or the mermaid must die. That is, unless the man marries into the family! Faced with such a decision, Nagasumi can only oblige their customs and become a "happy" newlywed. Now, with a new school year around the corner, Nagasumi must find a way to deal with his new bride, keep her true nature a secret, and most importantly, escape inevitable death at the hands of San's over-protective father’s gang!

In both Ranma and Seto the male lead and the female lead are forced to get engaged and live together in the same house. Many more characters get introduced gradually and cause trouble for the two leads. They are both great anime for anyone who enjoys comedy.

YPaladin

The newest heir to Ranma 1/2's throne in the world of wacky romance/harem anime, Seto no Hanayome keeps up the premise of a forced engagement, and the melange of outrageous people who are opposed to it. Only, instead of perpetually lost, spatula-wielding, and Amazonness martial artists, think Terminator-like, agoraphobic, and maniac idol mermaids!

Stop!! Hibari-kun!

Stop!! Hibari-kun!

When Kousaku's mother died, she entrusted his care to a man from Tokyo, Ibari Oozora. And so, Kousaku boarded a train and travelled to the city, where he discovered that Mr Oozora was more than just a man – he's the head of a yakuza group! And as if living in the care of a gangster isn't enough of a shock, the boy then meets his new siblings: three girls, and one exceptionally lovely lady that he instantly falls for. There's just one problem – 'she' is actually a 'he' who poses as a girl both at home, and at his new school! Now, Kousaku must come to terms with his new family situation and figure out how handle his challenging relationship with his new 'sister'!

Both have the same art style, similar humor, boy becoming girl, boy suddenly becoming a member of a larger traditional japanese-style family.

Yuurei

Same kind of humor. The setting is more or less the same and if you enjoyed one of them, you will enjoy them both.

because the main character of Ah! My Goddess (not beldandy...the guy...i can't remember his name) reminds me of ranma...just surrounded by hot women.

Akane Maniax

Akane Maniax

For Akane Suzumiya, letting go of her memories and moving forward has been difficult. Luckily (more like unluckily) for her, the loud and confident baseball powerhouse Gouda "Ace" Jouji has just transferred to school, and what's better (worse?!), he's just proposed to her in the middle of class after their first meeting! Can Akane outmaneuver and escape the persistent Gouda, or is she doomed to a pairing she cannot refuse?

Stuck in a relationship where there is no hope for escape? That's the situation Suzimiya Akane is in when an overconfident Gouda transfers into her class; this is also the situation Ranma and Akane Tendo find themselves in too! Both of these are entertaining anime series, with oodles of comedic relief to calm the tensions between the pairs.
