Ecchi, awkward positions, sizeable breasts... both Kanokon and Princess Lover! deliver on all three of those fronts. Frankly, if you enjoyed one of these two shows, chances are that's exactly what you're looking for, and you'll find that the other delivers.

chii chii says...

In both shows a suddenly suprised male is put into a situation where almost every girl in the school wants to get with him! Ecchi moments occure at every corner in both anime. Kanokon takes on the comedy aspect of things more where princess lover gets a little darker. Check out one if you liked the other for more ecchiness.

Galadriel Galadriel says...

well one thing surely defines both Kanokon and Princess Lover!, its ecchi level. Strange positions, panty shots, huge breasts and alot of comedy this is what we expect from both shows plus some romance aspects to make them more spicy. Both of them are pretty much plotless and pointless but if you enjoyed one of them then its impossible to hate the other one.

KittyEmperor KittyEmperor says...

While Princess Lover takes on a slightly darker tone later on in the story and Kanokon tends to stick mostly to comedy both series feature quite a bit of ecchi and several different girls going after one guy.  If you enjoyed one of them then you may like the other or at least I did.

Grach Grach says...

While Princess Lover! eventually becomes a tad darker than Kanokon, they both share quite a few similarities. Least of which is the bouncy, oh-so-ecchiness that the two hold. Both feature a school setting, comedy, and much more.

If you liked one of these ecchi series, then the other is for you!

If you like Princess Lover! and haven't yet watched Love Hina, I feel like I'll be doing you a favour with this recommendation. Superficially the two are similar in being ecchi harem shows, but Love Hina packs much more comedy, fun and genuine wit. It's also got a decent romantic storyline. How about that?

chii chii says...

Both shows are harem based where the male suddenly falls into this situation. Love Hina focuses more on the comedy aspects of this situation and romance where in Princess Lover the male is persued by the women and eventually takes a darker tone plot wise. Both anime have very similar characters in the way that each one is very individual and adds a little bit of interest to their personal stories. Check one out if you liked the other.

Galadriel Galadriel says...

both Love Hina and Princess Lover are harem based shows featuring a male lead pursued by several female protagonists. Both shows feature ecchi themes, nudity and alot of comedy. always drawing a smile on your face. Also both shows are nice romances so if you like one you will surely enjoy the other one as well.

Both are about a boy who finds out he has a fiancee.

They both play out in school most of the storie and a couple of girls are making it the boy difficult to accept his marrige arrengements.

So if you are for stories about a boy who has to pick the girl he loves out of a lot of girls whit some ecchi moments and a lot of humour i think you love both stories

bobjoe bobjoe says...

The main character in each series is thrust into the very ecchi world of the rich and powerful, and must deal with the reality of being presented with a fiancee whom he has never met, while surrounded by a complicating harem. The same type of anime overall, both of these rely on ecchi moments and humor through absurdity.

Galadriel Galadriel says...

both Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka and Princess Lover! feature a male protagonist who finds out that he actualy has a fiancee. Both shows are harem based with ecchi themes and alot of comedy plus some romantic aspects. In both shows the male lead is also pursued by other female protagonists making difficult for him to accept his marriage arrangement. If you liked one of this show for sure you will enjoy the other one as well.

If you liked one, you'll like the other. Both of these animes involve a mixing of the classes (the rich with the "commoners"). In Ladies Versus Butlers!, the main male character is the one in servitude and seems to have attracted the attention on a very uptight female character through a series of mishaps. In Princess Lover!, the main male character, who was brought up as a commoner, is suddenlt thrown into the life of the rich, which has his own share of troubles, and is always accompanied by his personal maid. In both these series, there is direct contact with members of completely opposite social classes. Both these series are worth watching.

One poor man enters the world of beauties, buxom and otherwise, overflowing in wealth if not boobage. Neither of these shy away from perversion and even revel in it at times, drowning themselves in it. Harems with the near obligatory nice guy getting into the obligatory accidental pervert scenes, it showcases the reasons why you watch the genre. There's some plot to be found in either one but you're here for the ecchi, and both deliver on that front twice over so fans of one, watch the other for some more boobage.

A guy suddenly transfers to a prestigious school in order to become the head of a large, renown corporation. From being the son of the company president, everybody immediately knows who he is, earning him the attention of many pretty, wealthy and noble ladies. If harems, ecchi content, and the latter are your pleasure, watch the second.

Drasticc Drasticc says...

Both of these animes have a strong ecchi feel to them. And the plots are very similar in reguarding a single highschool male being thrown in the lap of luxury, only to be surrounded by beautiful women. Great laughs and suspense along the way.  So if you like harems, these are great choices.

jeremy19124 jeremy19124 says...

They both fall in the same catigory of a guy transfers to a prestegious school where he is to become the head for the corperation but they differ on the concept that in kono naka he has a sister while in princess lover he is an only child

The Familiar of Zero

The Familiar of Zero

In a world where magic is a reality, the young Louise is at the bottom of her class. Dubbed "Zero" by her classmates at Tristein Academy (due to her zero success rate for magic), Louise (along with all first year students) was charged with summoning a familiar; and instead of a cute magical creature, the familiar arrived in the form of... Saito Hiraga, a normal Japanese boy who was abruptly teleported from his own world?! Can both Louise and Saito come to terms with their new and complicated "relationship" and (more importantly) help Saito find a way home?

Both anime are a harem featuring a guy dropped into a life he didn't expect. Both anime also have plenty of fan service and ecchi moments, and the guy is surrounded by girls he often has to save.

Both a harem where the male is put into situations of rescue. Although Princess Lover is pretty perverted and a much more shallow plot you i think if you like on youd like the other.

Walkure Romanze

Walkure Romanze

Horses dashing gallantly... Knights challenging their own limits... Magnificent, heroic battles highlight the horseback lance sport of jousting. One of the many people fascinated by this proud sport, Mizuno Takahiro, acts as a begleiter (an assistant) to jousting knights as he lives his rather tedious life at Winford Academy. This is the story of Takahiro and these female knights in their passionate, noble battles.

Brad Brad says...

While these shows differ a lot in plot, they are both essentially ecchi harem shows filled with fanservice where a dull male lead is courted by a bunch of female characters for his standing in his respective field. They both happen to be based on VN's made by the same company, so they have a very similar tone and feel to them, as well as the character designs having a similar look to them.

If you did enjoy one of these then the other is probably the type of thing that would interest you somewhat.

Thrawn Thrawn says...

It's easy to mistake Princess Lover for Walkure Romanze, one I made many times, and it's not just for the fanservice or deliciously ecchi scenes, or the fact that they're both based off of H-games. Not only for the males who don't come from real aristocratic backgrounds and are thrown into the den of babes who want their nuts or want their nuts while they work together on something or other. The harem aspects and pointless fanservice segments (Episode for Walkure Romanze at least) and the overall feel for either one, let alone some of the character designs, really give them both when compared to each other a samey feel.

Regardless, they're quite a match. One is princess wrangling and the other one is ecchi jousting with gratuitous fanservice. Can you ask for anything more out of your ecchi shows?

Shuffle!

Shuffle!

Kaede is a devoted high school student who lives with her adopted brother Rin. She holds a quiet confidence that one day, when Rin finally starts showing interest in sex, he will make the obvious choice and turn to his loving sister. Rin, like any teenager would, takes full advantage of his newly acquired harem; but how long can he keep up his carefree, boxed-lunches-on-the-rooftop lifestyle, as the horde of girls on his tail grows?

therik therik says...

Well, there shouldn't be much further explanation required. Both Princess Lover! and Shuffle! are largely set in a school, both are about a guy pursued by several nubile young ladies and both promise a heaping helping of ecchi humour. Although Shuffle! featured nudity and a storyline, while Princess Lover!'s story is mostly absent and it doesn't yet appear as though anyone's going to get their tits out, they're still similar enough to pair up like this. Also, both titles end with an exclamation mark.

Both anime's are essentially the same with a leading role that inherits a family brand, multiple love interests chasing the lead, and unique female roles. Ranma 1/2 has less ecchi and more story but tends to go off into mini random arcs after season 2. Both Princess Lover! and Ranma 1/2 are fantastic animes and if you havent seen either take this recomendation both ways. Cause they are the same thing in a very good way.
