soccerdory

Both young ladies in these series always have an upbeat can do attitude. They both face insurmountable odds, yet they remain loyal and strong to those that they love. Each face obstacles, yet their inborn strength and magical prowess allow them to overcome all that is in their path. Both have a slight touch of romance, and a reverse harem as well. If you loved one, you'll love the other no matter what. =]

Ginban Kaleidoscope

Ginban Kaleidoscope

Tazusa Sakurano is a 16-year-old girl whose beauty is worth $10 billion -- or at least, that's how she describes herself. She is a skilled figure skater who represents Japan, and is working hard to earn a spot in the Olympics; but unfortunately, at the same time that she fumbled on her triple lux, a ghost possessed her body! His name is Pete Pumps, and he now sees all that Tazusa sees, and feels all that she feels -- especially hard falls. The two have no idea why Tazusa's body was chosen, and how to undo it. If things weren’t complicated enough, the media also hounds Tazusa for being a poor representative for Japanese women in the figure skating arena, and worst of all she has absolutely no privacy! Realizing that there's no way fight against the situation, Tazusa and Pete work together to give their best performance in figure skating.

When I started watching Pretear, Himeno immediately reminded me of Tazusa from Ginban Kaleidoscope. Shoujo heroines who actually have a spine and who aren't afraid to get mad (as opposed to, y'know, running off and crying over some quasi-imagined insult until the male lead comes and gives her some motivational speech) are hard to come by, and often just come off as obnoxious and unreasonable. But I have to say I really liked both characters, and their reactions to their (very weird) situations were always pretty entertaining.

Hanasakeru Seishounen

Hanasakeru Seishounen

Kajika is the fourteen-year-old heiress of the Burnsworth Corporation who just wants to live a normal life, but her father has other plans. He informs Kajika that her fate is a heavy one to carry and he will only tell her the full details when the man she intends to marry is by her side. As such he has set up a ‘marriage game' for her; Kajika will meet three men that he has specifically picked out and she is to select one of the three to become her husband. There's just one catch; Kajika must also make her chosen man fall for her, since the ‘suitors' are unaware of the game in which they are participating. For a girl who has never loved anyone except for her pet leopard, this game will prove to be a trial. With her over-protective childhood friend and personal shadow, Li Ren, keeping a close watch, will Kajika be able to choose who will become her lifelong partner and finally learn of her true fate?

Galadriel

in both animes we see a young, cheerful and energetic female character surrounded by handsome male characters (both of this animes are filled with bishounen characters) and both have encripted a deep reverse harem aspect. However there are some differences between this two but in what i mentioned above they are kinda similar (Pretear concentrates on magic aspects while Hanasakeru concentrates more on political aspects). So if you liked one of this two i think its worth checking the other as well.

Both anime have a young girl striving to get along in a new life. The young girls struggle with new families, whether adopted or circus. In addition, the animation styles are similar; both are very bright and colorful with airy themes.
