She’s smart, talented, and the newest teacher at Momotsuki Academy; but she’s also… 11 years old?! Named Becky Miyamoto, this pint-sized MIT prodigy wants nothing more than to be a respectable educator, but all her students do is treat her like an adorable child! With space aliens, a class full of stereotypes (and one girl who is normal!), and a quick temper standing in her way, Becky will try her best to shape the eager young minds of tomorrow before she hits puberty!
Tenma Tsukamoto is young, bright, and smitten with the school hottie Oji Karasuma. She's desperate for his attention, which is unfortunate considering he barely gives her the time of day! Throw Kenji Harima, the school delinquent with a crush on Tenma into the mix and you've got one twisted love triangle of unrequited proportions! Can love find the trio happiness before their attention-grabbing stunts end up hurting more than their egos?
The only thing that connects School Rumble and Paniponi Dash is the humour. If you want a good laugh, watch School Rumble; if you didn't laugh enough watching School Rumble, watch Paniponi Dash.
Both of these anime are relatively short and follow the same storylines of groups of teenagers' daily lives at school. Both are funny and random as well as lad back, without much development in terms of storyline.
Nuku Nuku is a cat-android hybrid who was created to protect the peace and thwart the evil schemes of the Mishima Corporation. She lives with her creator's family and masquerades as an ordinary human school girl; however her feline instincts and android strength threaten to reveal her true identity. Nevertheless, she often finds herself forced to use her super-human abilities to protect humanity, usually from the company's malfunctioning products, but will her secret be discovered in the process?
Nuku Nuku TV and Paniponi Dash! are both school life series with characters ranging from plain bizarre to completely unearthly. The level of comedy is out the roof, and the classes are never boring in these shows!
Sonya may look like a regular school girl, but in truth she’s a deadly assassin who keeps to herself. Despite many warnings not to get involved with her, ditzy Yasuna decides that she is her friend, even if it means getting her arm broken or ending up in a headlock each time she surprises the young hitman. And just to make matters worse, ninja girl, Agiri - an associate of Sonya's - also attends the same school. With Sonya resorting to violence at every turn and Agiri parading her various "techniques" at every turn, Yasuna’s school life is about to get all the more hectic... that is, if she can manage to survive in one piece!
It is the year 300X, and the Earth is in peril! Tsuru Tsururiina, the evil dictator of the Margarita Empire has sent his elite troops to Earth to snatch every last hair on the heads of the unsuspecting populace! But there is one man who will stand up against the malicious invasion and save everyone from the terrible horror of baldness: Boboboubo Boubobo! Using his secret art of nose hair combat, Boubobo will not rest until the Margarita forces are gone from Earth for good. But can he succeed without the help of the pink-haired girl Beauty, or the mysterious Pickle that follows him around?
Completely retarded humour that will appeal to a very small niche of the anime community, both Bobobo and Paniponi Dash are not to be taken seriously. Personally speaking, I did not enjoy either, but maybe fans of one will find something to love in the other.
At Cromartie High, it’s tough being a delinquent -- a fact that do-gooder Takashi Kamiyama intimately understands. When he’s not engaging in contests of strength and rival gang wars, Kamiyama can also be found submitting punny jokes and planning his own rise to fame within the delinquents’ ranks, and that’s just the beginning! With friends like robotic Mechazawa, a giant gorilla, a hairy man from the 80s named Freddie and a clan of delinquents with mohawks that flow in the wind, how can anyone not enjoy high school?
Cromartie High School and Pani Poni Dash both have a very fast-paced and crazy atmosphere. Instead of being about plot, they are both driven by (very unique and funny) characters. If you like fun anime where completely random things happen, then check out Cromartie and Pani Poni Dash!
