Gene Starwind and Jim Hawkins make a living on various jobs and bounties. While waiting for their ticket to hit it big time, a mysterious woman named Hilda leaves them with a key to the puzzle of finding a starship of great power, known only as the Outlaw Star. What are these long lost spaceships and what is the Galactic Leyline?
Once again follow Bolt Crank, the world's greatest mercenary, as he takes on jobs in between his travels. With the ability to eat items and then reform them in his right hand, Bolt is a versatile character that is able to get himself out of (after first getting himself into) tight spots. He always seems to be in the right place at the right time (or is that wrong place at the right time?) in order to help out a damsel in distress. But once he accepts a job, you know he will see it through - just try not to get in his way!
Ass kicking mercenaries are the focus of both Outlaw Star and Eatman. When their reputations precede them, Gene Starwing and Crank Bolt walk into a lot of trouble, usually with a few laughs involved.
Swathed in action, these are both fantasy shows that will appeal to the same audience.
On the night of a full moon, the orphans Yu and Ai sneak off to a closed subway that turns out to be a gateway to another world. There, they encounter two unlikely companions: a woman named Risa, and a mysterious fellow who can summon spirits with the gun on his arm. Together, they travel through this strange new world of magic and mystery, cactaurs and chocobos.
In an era where guns are replacing swords, samurai are desperately trying to keep their ideals alive, though many become honorless mercenaries in desperation. Yajiro Kojima is one such mercenary who led an average life until running across the beautiful Rushyuna Tendo, an expert gun wielder (known as a senshi, or Enlightened One) who upholds one ideal above all others: never kill, simply destroy one's will to fight. Together, the duo travel the world encountering dangerous enemies and bathhouses galore, all while removing their adversaries' "armor" with a smile!
Both Grenadier and Outlaw Star build themselves up in the same way. Being seen as a threat, the main character in each is forced to take on dangerous organizations to seek out the truth behind what's running them. But the feeling is also the same, as the action is filled up with some good comedy and a fun surprise at the end of the story.
