Ouran High School Host Club - Reviews

AHAHAHA. Just thinking about this show makes me laugh. There are some parts you want to cry but 99.9% of the time you will be laughing your head off. I find that this show in particular out of the other stereotypical one's in it;s genre really breaks the mold. And the amount of 4th wall breaking they down is astounding. It's like they just bulldoze right over it and it really just works :)

PROBABLY MY ALL TIME FAVORITE ANIME? Okay so I know the anime itself is pretty old, but since I am a fan of romance and weird stuff like that, of course I'd love it. Once I got in, I couldn't stop watching. Loved the whole storyline, loved the whole plot, just pure love for this anime only. I always find myself coming back to it. If I could rate 100 stars or more, I would. Also Hikaru Hitachiin is the best bye

Story? Doesn't matter. Animation? Not good but it does the job well. Nothing else matters, all that matters is the Characters. It's a 26 episode anime, very long yes, but my motavation for watching all episodes was the Characters, they are all like-able, developed and the series used it's time up well (except episode 13, which was a pointless filler). This is way the anime gets a high rating, because of the characters, they make the series enjoyable.

BBFC rating - 15 for strong sex references and sexual threat

I loved this anime. I'm a horror fanatic and lover of gore, but this anime (something nearly the opposite of my usual) has taken a spot in my top five favourite anime. It's reverse harem, which has no particular appeal to me, but I am aware that it does to others. I like the main character, Haruhi Fujioka. She is exasperated at the actions of the others, while being down to do practically anything. She just accepts that she's going to dress as a guy and have every student (besides the host club) think that she is one, saying that it doesn't matter what gender people perceive her as. I like everyone in the series, too. Not just Haruhi. During the series, you learn about the host club members home lives, which makes the show even better.

The theme song gets stuck in my head every time I watch it  (It's in English, so the lyrics are easy to learn.)

Altogether, I can seriously find no fault in this series, even though I'm not a romance, harem, or school-life fan. I would recommend this series to everyone. 

This is an iconic memory. I love it with all of my soul. For the anime, I argue there is little plot, but I think it's more the *vibe* we all come to watch for. The wonderful opening and ending songs, as well as the quirky characters. All the characters are lovable, even the quote on quote annoying ones. There just seems to be charm in every one of them. For sound, I will have to say I actually watch Ouran in English... I think it's incredibly funny, and the VAs are all so distinct. All in all, nostalgic, iconic and still funny in my opinion.
