The main character, Haruhi, from Ouran seems kind of like a parody of characters like Alen Walker who are geared more to girls despite the fact that they are in Shounen (boys) anime. If you like Ouran I would recommend watching D.Gray-man to help understand all of the parodies.

Kuroshitsuji

Kuroshitsuji

In Victorian England it is commonplace for the rich and wealthy to have a staff, led by a head butler, to run their households; the Phantomhive Estate is no different. The young and demanding Count Ciel Phantomhive, child owner of a toy company, lives in the grand countryside manor. Sebastian is his head butler, and the epitome of perfection; he effortlessly and gracefully completes his day-to day chores and fixes the countless mistakes of the other employees. However, whilst on the outside all seems prim and proper, a more sinister secret lies just beneath the surface. Sebastian is in fact a demon bound by a contract with the young count; he will loyally serve and fight for him in return for his soul.

While 'Ouran High School Host Club' is a comedy about school life and 'Black Butler' is about a demonic contract, fans of 'Ouran' will still find themselves attracted to 'Black Butler'. As fans of 'Ouran' know, the series is chock full of bi-shonen boys, as is 'Black Butler'. If you found yourself attracted to the boys of 'Ouran', you'll just as easily fall in love with the boys of 'Black Butler'. And since both are dubbed by FUNimation, there's not much to hate! In fact the English voice actor for Kyouya also voices the demonic butler (Sebastian Michaelis) of 'Black Butler'. And of course 'Black Butler' has plenty of comedy aspects as well. Such as the oh-so loveable chibis and of course a few gender confusing boys. Again, I highly reccomend 'Black Butler' if you are seriously in to bi-shonen anime guys!

As a result, he makes a bet with his fellow kendo coach and former upperclassman to see who can assemble and train the better female kendo team, with the prize for Kojirou being a year's supply of food if he wins. Motivated by the idea of free food for a year, he begins to teach the club seriously; however, most of its members have already graduated, and so he is tasked with assembling members in addition to training them for the competition with his rival. While dealing with his eccentric students, he slowly rediscovers why he loves kendo and what it truly means to be a teacher.

Both anime involve high school clubs. They both have a nice happy feeling to them and have similar elements in their humor. If you liked one, then you can't go wrong with the other.

Natsume is lonely; he has an ability that separates him from others: he can see and interact with spirits. Soon, however, Natsume discovers that he’s not alone: his grandmother Reiko also had the gift. He finds himself hounded by his grandmother's underlings and, with the help of a 'cat' charm spirit, decides to free them from the Book's shackles, as well as protect the book from those who seek to misuse its power...

These are 2 of my favorite Shojo anime.  As an ardent Shounen fan I feel these both have strong crossover appeal and could be enjoyed by just about anyone.

Slayers

Slayers

Meet Lina Inverse, a mighty sorceress who fights evil in the name of... greed, gluttony and black magic?! When she meets Gourry, a swordsman whose skill with the blade is rivaled only by his stupidity, Zelgadis, a grumpy sorceror who's been turned into a golem, and Rezo, a priest known for his benevolence (with a dark secret), you know her adventures are just beginning!

Although these two shows are part of different genres, they both have a solid cast of characters and spend a lot of time actually parodying the genres they're a part of. They take themselves juuust enough seriously to make you care about the characters and plots, but they're never above cracking a joke or poking at the fourth wall to show how silly their genres can be at times. If you enjoy comedy and fun characters, there's a good chance you'll enjoy these shows.
