Synopsis:

Long ago the infamous Gol D. Roger was the strongest and most powerful pirate on the seas. As he was about to be executed he revealed that he hid all of his wealth, including the legendary treasure known as One Piece, on an island at the end of the Grand Line - a treacherous and truly unpredictable sea. Monkey D. Luffy is a spirited, energetic and somewhat dim-witted young man with a very big dream: to find One Piece and become the Pirate King! However Luffy is no ordinary boy, as when he was younger he ate one of the Devil's Fruits and gained its power to become a Rubber Man. Now in this grand age of pirates Luffy sets out to gather a crew and sail to the most dangerous sea in the world so that he can fulfill his dream... and maybe even his appetite!

Toriko and One Piece are ridiculously shounen action-comedy romps set on the sea/small islands with over-the-top stories and absurd characters/animals.

chii

Both anime have an awesome set of strange characters that show great passion for what they do. Manly men, and some kick ass women in One Piece, galore! Their appetite's will amaze you and same with their adventures! Check out either if you enjoyed the other since you WILL enjoy! MEAT BONE!

Kari5

Both are these are hilarious action shounen titles about adventurers traveling to acomplish a special goal. They share the same humor style mixed in with similar shonen action. The main characters, Luffy and Toriko, are also very similar. Fans of one should check out the other.

P1rateK1ng

Both series share a carefree feel and an insatiable protagonist. They go so well together that even the producers have made crossover episodes,

Trigun

Trigun

“Vash, the Stampede” - worth 60 billion dollars to the one who can turn him in. Bounty hunters everywhere are on the lookout for this legendary gunman, not to mention insurance agents Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson, who are tasked with preventing any potential damage that this Vash can cause. But with 60 billion on his head, Vash is not an easy man to find.

Ne0

Both series have an atmosphere of freedom from oppression, being chased by law enforcers.

They travel over the world with their searching for adventures, having a lot of fun.

MK16

Same happy go lucky characters with a good mix of humor and action. Luffy and Vash are very similar and both are extremely lovable. Trigun is much shorter but makes up for it in solid plot lines.

badazz5001

BOuth series are great shonins about noble outlaws escaping the law and seing the world. BOuth have a lot of humer to them and a simmiler king of action scens. Trigun is certinley a much deeper anime with a better plot but both series are a lot of fun and are a must wach for shonin fans

AxeMusicMan

They have a similar feel in the sense both fight oppresion in search of fun and adventure.

Both are light hearted and whimsical but do get very serious at times. They both also have spectacular fights

Hiyapeeps

Both series have the same type of comedy and action, plus the main characters have a similar charm  about them; goofy yet lovable. The target audience for both series is about the same, so if you want some good action with some fun thrown in, both are not to be missed.

griffioen

One piece and MAR both have great action and fights. Even though one piece is about a boy who wants to become a pirate king and MAR is about a boy who wants to defeat the evil, they remind me of each other. They both have the same determination to reach their goals and if u liked the one u will 99% like the other.

FlareWarrior

MAR is up-beat and funny, with serious parts that make you feel for the characters and enough action to keep you interested, and the same can be said for One Piece. Both are also set in fantastic other worlds.

It’s the age of the gourmet and across the land lie countless delectable treats just waiting to be eaten. Unfortunately, many of the rarest and most delicious ingredients require special skills and incredible physical power to obtain them. The hunter-for-hire travels across the globe alongside his new assistant, chef Komatsu, in order to sample each new ingredient and decide upon his ultimate full course menu. Armed with nothing but his “knife”, “fork” and appetite, can Toriko hunt down his prey and discover the perfect components to make up the banquet of his lifetime?

Lorgan

Both anime display various cheerful adventures and a big eating, optimistic main hero. Worlds of Toriko and One Piece are also vast, full of weird animals and people, a bit childish, and definitely colorful. In my opinion there are more similarities than differences. Probably this was the main reason for making a crossover.

Both are about a guy who gains a mystic power, they team up with other with skills to help reach their goals. Both animes ar action packed with parts of comedy too.

Alucard1

Both anime have a balance of action and comedy. Luffy and Allen Walker are very similar in their philosophy on life.  When either Luffy or Allen's friends are in danger, they will stop at nothing to protect them, despite the dangers that could befall them. Both work their hardest to become men they could be proud of, be that the Pirate King or a saviour of akuma souls.

Despite differences in art and story line, they both have the same 'feel.'
