Musically, these titles are completely different; On Your Mark is J-rock, while the Portable Airport series is electronica. What they have in common is Ghibli's trademark charm, as Portable Airport and its sequels were made by a subsidiary. Fans will find the innocent characters and upbeat atmospheres familiar.

Many animated music videos seem like they were produced as a cheap alternative to filming a video.  Yet when a music video is done well with good accompanying music it can be a powerful five minute experience. These anime are excellent examples, combining stylistic animation, fast paced stories, and of course good music.
