Nihatclodra Nihatclodra says...

They both have the same type of humor, both main heroines are compared to beasts (Taiga = Tiger, Ookami = Wolf), both Taiga and Ookami are violent Tsundere. The animation is also very similar. The only difference between the anime romance-wise is that the guy fell in love with the girl on the 1st episode in Ookami-san, whereas in Toradora; they fell in love with each other part way through the series.

ValkyrianSteel ValkyrianSteel says...

Watching both animes you'll know exactly why these two animes are a good match.  The animations are alike and so are the main female protagonists.  Ookami and Taiga look exactly alike with exactly the same attitude.  If you liked one of these animes then you'll definitely like the other.

JapanSun JapanSun says...

Both animes resemble each other in the chrackter design ( Ookami & Taiga could be sisters ^^), the setting (high school) and the interaction between the two main charackters. So if you watched Toradora you should consider watching Ookami or the other way around

eaper eaper says...

Each of these series are school life romantic comedies following tsundere female leads. As each series progresses, there is a lot of growth in both leads, and each series balances both romance and comedy. Beyond that, Toradora! is much closer to a "regular" school experience while Ookami is a bit different from what one would consider normal.

KittyEmperor KittyEmperor says...

Both series are romantic comedies that each resolve around tsundere females leads and the weaker male lead counterparts.  Each series does a good job of balancing romance and comedy.  Toradora does have a much more actual school life feel to it than Ookami-san.  Ookami-san does tend to have a little bit more action to it that Toradora doesn't have.  But both are good watches for a story of love and comedy.

sothis sothis says...

Toradora and Ookami-san focus on the same old cookie cutter tsundere character with a dash of romance, so definitely fans of one will appreciate the other.

frozenpandaman frozenpandaman says...

Although their plots are a bit different, some of the characters' personalities are extremely alike. They both have a similar (and great!) sense of humor intertwined throughout the episodes. Along with this, they are both made by the studio J.C.Staff... and one even makes a cameo appearance in the other! Though Toradora! may focus more on symbolism and metaphors while Ookami-san on humor, both are extremely clever and have funny, interesting and wonderful characters and storylines.

BoneFingers BoneFingers says...

In the romance aspect they start out differently but in the aspect a bossy girl, they are very much the same.Still I liked them both and I bet that if you liked one you will like the other :)

akatsukiJuS akatsukiJuS says...

well the story lines are actually not really alike..... but both storys are about young teens in different conflicts in high school. And the main character in my opinion is the same person in both animes XD

panicinduced panicinduced says...

Toradora and Ookami have a lot of things in common and both has the capacity to tie you in into the story because of the subtlety of the main character's tenderness. I said subtle, because most of the time, ookami-san tends to hide her feelings and act all tsundere but manages us to draw back in with her emotions. I really like the similarity of this to toradora, but the story behind the main characters will make you even more drawn to it.

PantsMan PantsMan says...

There are countless similarities between Ookami-san and Toradora! First of all, apart from the fact that they are both produced by the same company (Be sure not to miss the Toradora and To Aru Kagaku no Railgun cameos in Ookami-san!) there's the two tsundere female protagonists who resemble each other enough to be mother and daughter... However, while Ookami-san to Shichinin is perhaps more lighthearted, whereas Toradora! concentrates more on the romance than the gags.

If you're a fan of the "Violent Tsundere" genre, these two series should be your first choices and, if you liked one of them, don't miss the other!

zelight zelight says...

Actually, The first time I saw Ookami-san I thought she's Taiga, because they look quite the same...

Both series features tundere female lead which I really love although ookami took longer time to realize her feelings...

But I am really certain that if you like one of them you'll like the other...

dandere dandere says...

Both anime have a leading female who is a tsundere and has a cheerful best friend. Both contain a romance between the main male and female character.

sakara sakara says...

I would like to say that if you liked either fo the animes than you WILL like the other. for me Ookami-san to shichinin no nakama-tachi felt like a more refined Toradora! but with different aspects.

the main couples are similar in character. tunder+normal personality guy. botha nimes are sclice of life and i definetly recommend both of them if you want to watch a cute slice of life anime

softbank47 softbank47 says...

Both series are handled by J.C.Staff, and both are romantic comedies where the lead is a tsundere female.

Fargo Fargo says...

Both of these animes come to show that tsunderes aren't always so spiteful and can have a charm to them as well. Toradora focuses more on romance while Ookami is more involved in shenanigans, both series have engaging character interactions that can garner universal appeal.

hamletsmage hamletsmage says...

Both of these amines feature a feisty brunette, her hyper red-headed best friend, and the guy who becomes her support throughout the anime. With similar comedy, very similar art styles, and plenty of school life drama, these anime make a perfect pair.

KarinXOXO KarinXOXO says...

If you liked Okami-san & Her Seven COmpanions or Toradora!, you would like the other because both animes have a similiar feel with the art style, along with the humor and romance aspect. Both main heroines are considered tsundere and are protagonists. They are also produced by the same studio and can see similiar tie-ins between both selections.

SleepySpaceCowboy SleepySpaceCowboy says...

wouldn't expect anything different sepesualy beacouse they even full out refrance and show the toradora characters in this anime ;3

I'd say they have the same overall vibe just once is more romance based then the other

These series both focus on a highschool club that is dedicated to helping fufill requests. A main character in each series both have a similar condition. Finally, each of the main females are rather tsundere.

bonbon2190 bonbon2190 says...

Both shows are about a club/group of students who helps other people with special requests. The main female characters in both anime have similar personalities, violent but actually hiding a soft side.  Also, they both have a male character who likes to cross-dress. Both animes are action-packed and have sweet moments.

KittyEmperor KittyEmperor says...

A highschool club who's main goal is to fulfill the requests of other people.  Though Ookami-san will get different requests throughout the series and MM! mainly focuses on trying to cure Tarou's masochism.  A female tsundere is also a big highlight for either series and the romance for each series adds a little something to each series.

scizorg45 scizorg45 says...

A Tsundere, A crossdresser, a club which tries to solves everyones problems. Those are the main similaritie between the sseries. Ookami san really tries to help their clients, while MM just tries to contain one guy's problem.

if you liked one, you might like the other.

sobeit sobeit says...

Both of these animes have a central male protagonist which needs help solving their social problems. MM! is based around comedy whereas Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi has more of a romantic feel to it, though both involve some romance as the tags suggest.

zetazach zetazach says...

Both Ookami and MM! are about a club dedicated to helping people with their problems with some minor differences. In Ookami, the club helps out people for a price and the male protagonist is extremely shy. while in MM! they help people with more personal problems with crude humor and the male protagonist is a masochist.

SargeKeroro SargeKeroro says...

They are both club related anime that focuses around the problems of other but still have more to it than that. The romance is a little stronger in ookamisan but it's not strong in either of them. They are both hilarious and enjoyable while MM! Hacar ore of an adult humor and ookamisan is more of an action anime I'm sure if you liked you one you'll enjoy the other

Both anime deal with romance in high school life. They both have strong female leads, and while the boy in ookami-san seems weak he actually protects the girl like in kaichou wa maid sama. If you like one of these your sure to like the other.

The female leads are similar in a sense that they are strong on the outside but is gentle on the inside. The male lead backs her up from behind and protects her from danger. Funny anime too. I love the narration.

Ookami also has a bit of romance, which Railgun is mostly missing.

Both of these anime have the same basic premise: A school club dedicated to doing odd jobs for students. Both are episodic with some light comedy for the most part and the female leads are both pretty similar. Main difference is simply that Ookami-san is far better on all fronts, especially characters and basic plots. The only thing Sket Dance MIGHT do a little better is the comedy.

Both anime have a Tsundere charcter that may develope feelings for the male charcter which has special abilities.

Doomoo Doomoo says...

They are both done by the same studio and share many interpersonal relationship traits. Hidan no Aria is more actiony and has a much stronger focus on both action and your typical Tsundere relationship while Ookami-san spends more time on animation and comedy. If you like one you will probably like the other. Both are great and I highly recommend them.

However I would like to mention that both leave a very open ending and have manga that are still behind the anime. So if there is a second season of either it is likely not going to be soon and the manga are not going to catch up for around another year for each.
