The Storyline is really interesting and actually although yes it has similar ideas of other Anime, the overall idea is pretty unique. The pace of the Anime is really good but I wished that it was a longer series or that a second season was made, as I felt it was rushed in some episodes.

The Animation was really good and perfect for the show, but I wasn’t a fan of the opening Animation but loved the ending Animation, the same with the Sound and the fact I wasn’t a fan of the opening song, but loved the ending song. The English Voice actors did a really good job voicing their characters.

The Characters Nezumi and Sion were amazing, in this Anime, I really loved both of their personalities, and by gosh did they both have different personalities. They bonded and created an amazing friendship and although some people are against them becoming more than just friends, I am NOT against it. I also really loved Karan; Sion’s mother. The love she has for her son and the risks she took for him were amazing.

Overall I really LIKED this Anime series, but I really wished it was longer, or had another series, because there was so much more they could have done with the story and characters.

It's alright. Nothing to write home about.

Don't come in expecting this to be well fleshed out and tied with a bow, because by the end of this show I feel restless and still have questions.

The story takes a back seat in favor of the romance, but even then I feel like they could've done better in that area.

The sound is sometimes underwhelming or an odd song to put in a certain scene. Nothing memorable.

Animation's alright but picks up near the last two episodes, nothing spectacular or anything.

tl;dr: it's alright. if you end up finishing it you'll forget about it in a few days.

I've just finished watching this anime. I really enjoyed it, but I did have a few problems with it (discussed below).

Story:

The story is stereotypical in several aspects (utopian city, engineered diseases, corrupt government, apocalyptic scenes), and usually these are the sort of themes that I do NOT enjoy watching; however, the characters' responses to these situations and their interactions with one another shed an entirely different light on the type of themes that you see recurring again and again in science fiction animes/films/novels/tv series - and raised some important questions that got me thinking long after I'd turned my computer off. The relationship with Shion and Nezumi, was, of course, one of the most enjoyable aspects to watch develop.
My main problem with the story was that I felt that the ending was far too rushed, and as the revelations in the plotline seemed to pile upon each other, I was left with a sense that I had no idea what had happened, despite having watched the final episodes more than once. I believe that the producers tried to cram too much information into the last two episodes, rather than spreading it out over say, three (or even hinting at what was to come so that it'd make more sense at the end!)

Animation

The animation was good - characters and scenery drawn well and movements look natural.

Sound

The theme tune is quite unfittting - it's rather sickly, but I suppose in some ways it's different to the rock songs that are usually part of my anime playlist :P

Characters

I felt that the relationship between some of the characters could have been made more explicit - I found myself wanting to know more about the history of their connections. It would definitely have been nice to know more about Safu - the most the viewer gets is that she's smart and wants to have sex with Shion! It would also have been nice to have known more about Nezumi's history. I still found myself questioning at the end whether he was a good guy or a bad guy, but maybe that was the intention...his character is definitely a lot more developed in the manga (which I'm aware came after the anime, but I prefer it.)

Overall

Overall, I'm going to give this a 7. I'd definitely recommend it, but I think that if I could go back in time, I would have read the Light Novels first so that the ending made more sense.

SPOILERS Ok, this show started off super interesting. The characters are weird and cool and quite adorable all in their own ways. But the plot is so wishy washy. I also didn't think so many people would die in this show (not main characters) and seeing so many dead bodies, other than the people killed by crazy wasps, was kind of unnerving because of the recent tragedies throughout the world. Also the completely random God wasp lady of the forest was a very weak story line. Then the end was really disappointing. Nezumi just walked away? What the fuck? Come back here you ugly rat, you can't just screw up the world, kiss someone, and then peace the fuck out!?

I was at first skeptical.  . But after watching the first episode I knew I would enjoy the rest .  And that opening is so fecking cute . This isn't a cringe shounen-Ai and it doesn't Base itself on a romance .no there is a story  behind it and a rather good one in fact . But the cute affection that shion and nezumi show each other is so cute and makes the story even better .  It's a shame that I feel it was rushed with 11 episodes it would of been better with more ( or maybe that's just me wishing for more sweet affection 😜) .. the ending oh my lordy . Well I'm not a spoiler buy ARGH
