These two anime are some of the earliest examples of Japanese animation that both recount traditional fairytales about boys who are a bit different fighting demons and ogres.

Both of these early animations depict men battling with Japanese demons, so if you liked that in once, you may want to try the other.

Both Urashima Taro and Nihon-ichi Momotaro are old anime shorts based upon classic Japanese folktales, so if you hold more than a passing interest in fairytales form around the world, it's well worth checking out both of these.
