Fairy Tail

Fairy Tail

Lucy is a seventeen-year-old mage with the power to summon stellar spirits, but what she really wants to do is join a guild - and not just any guild. She has her eyes set on Fairy Tail, a notoriously reckless and outrageous group of magic users who are likely to be drunk or destroying buildings and towns in the process of completing a job! While in town one day Lucy meets a perpetually-seasick boy named Natsu who, through a series of events, reveals to her that he's none other than the fire-eating mage Salamander of Fairy Tail! Lucy is finally able to join Fairy Tail and quickly begins to take on odd jobs with Natsu and his gang for fame and profit. Along with her fiery friend, Happy the flying cat, Natsu's archrival Gray and their overseer the invincible and beautiful Erza, Lucy sets forth for epic adventures that leave an epic amount of destruction in their wake. After all, destroying a city or five doesn't matter as long as they get the job done... right?!

Both shows are focused on group of friends, taking dangerous missions for the sake of the organisation they work for. Thx to their special powers they can fight with criminals or rival organisations in order to complete the assignment.

Both stoies are battle oriented, and the plot is there as a way, to get into new battles.

The main difference is that in Naruto we have ninja and ninja villages, and in Fairy Tail there are mages and mage guilds. If you like one of the shows you should like the other as well.

Naruto and Fairy Tail have very simalar plot styles. (instead of ninjas its mages) Fairy tail's animation style is a bit more comedic. With styleized expressions that look more like the manga. If you like one you'll like the other!

Naruto is very similar to Fairy Tail with action and adventure but Fairy tail has a lot less fillers than naruto

Because both anime have a caracter who whant to protect his friend [Naruto in Naruto and Natsu in Fairy Tail] and bot main caracter have many people who are supporting them when they are in problem [In Naruto it's all the people from Konoha and of some other village who are helping Naruto and in Fairy Tail it's all the person from the guild Fairy Tail who are helping Lucy and Natsu].

Both anime also have action and many fight with power [In Fairy Tail it's the magic and in Naruto it's the Chakra].

Both are Shounen, they pretty much do the genre by the book, yet in a great way. If you want something revolutionary look somewhere else, but if you want a good anime (and you like shounen) don't miss it. I can't help it, Natsuu makes me think of Naruto and Gray of Sasuke... Oh and Sakura is similar to Lucy... Well except that Sakura was (in the begining) only thinking about love unlike Lucy.

These shounen animes have the same basic premis. A group of young specially skilled heroes in search of adventure and to defeat the evil that threatens the greater good around them. Great battles and comedy hijinks accompany them on there journeys. Whilst the theme changes slightly with each anime the engaging story, great characters, exciting fights and comedy are ever present.

Both these anime are very similar in feel. They both start out, fairly episodic with 3-4 Man teams accomplishing various missions. The missions also tend to be more then they seem. For example, a simple fetch quest turns into discovering a much larger plot. The main characters are also similar, the two male leads are great friends yet they are always competing and getting in fights. The main male lead, Natsu is similar to Naruto in managing to accomplish something people thought was not possible, minus the whole stigma of being the carrier of a demon.  He tends to pull his power out of nowhere when he defeats yet another insurmountable task. You will find that many of the other characters draw similar parallels in either series. They are good compliments and if you enjoy one, you should the other. The art could also be called similar if you are into the clean smooth look of the series.

Let's face it, both have that never say die feeling to it.  Both protagonist are that pumped up Shounen anime that gives fans something to look foward to weekly through various over-matched villians.

Both anime's are about the main character who wants to complete his goal and has its own kind of way of making it. During that journey he makes new friends who will help to reach this goal. Also both anime's include good fighting scene's.

Both animes focus on a small group of friends in a huger group doing tasks(but i personally like Fairy Tail better)

Both Naruto and Fairy tail focuse strongly in the concept of Nakama. To the character in Fairy tail and Naruto,  their nakama are the most important thing to them and they will do anything and everything to protect them.In both there's a strong main character who can raise everyone's spirits everytime their depressed; help them no matter what the situation is and he is a very reliable person despite being a bit reckless.

While many Shonen series have common central themes, Fairy Tail and Naruto have some visual similarities. The pace of the story progression is about the same for both series, as are the over-the-top expressions and the cast of characters.

A male protagonist with super-physical powers brought about by happenstance. A female sidekick who serves as eye candy, tells the audience when we should be worried for the good guys, and has more strength and ability than they let on. The scowly, but gifted rival, who reluctantly agrees to team up with the main protagonist. The sidekicks who provide comedic relief. And of course everyone has a storied past full of drama and tragedy that is slowly revealed over these series, which are either agonizingly long-running or an appropriate response to gigantic fandoms, depending on your appreciation of these series.

You'll find any or all of these in other shonen series, but if you're looking for epitome of the genre, or just need to get your fix after finishing an entire series, either one of these will do nicely.

Classic Shounen series with some comedy inside.

Nothing big about both plots, FT has some more "comedy" and some less "power ups"

Both animes focus on magical worlds where the main characters fight together to protect their homes and their magical communities. Naruto lives in a community of ninjas while Natzu and Lucy are wizards of the organization Fairy Tail, however both animes feature similar plots and character development along with good action scenes and comedic relief.

Both Naruto and Fairy Tail are set in a fantasy world and are about a group of friends who choose to go for often dangerous missions for which they get paid after successfully completing it.

In Fairy Tail the characters use magic and in Naruto they use chakra. As the time goes on the characters find new friends and new powers which they use to defeat their enemies and protect their friends.

Similar energetic, intense character quality. Great magical fight scenes. Simple but has a lot of heart.

Are you looking for fighting and the growth of a hero? SonGoku a kid trying to become a great hero has to learn the road of life to be able to reach his goals. Just like Naruto gets friend who will help him on his way. A actionfilled series with alot of nice fighiting scenes. Id you liked DB be sure to watch Naruto.
A young kid struggling to get better at fighting. Both Dragonball and Naruto are very action oriented, and are both very long series. They let you follow the progress of the main characters and their friends, while also having a humorous backside to them.
Another series where a boy takes on the evils of the world with his friends and his fighting skills. Naruto is more of a ninja-lovers anime, whereas Dragonball is a martial-arts-lovers anime, but both are enjoyable for their fights and high octane action.

If you liked Naruto, you'd like Dragon Ball because there is lots of intense fighting in both. I wonder what it would be like to stick all of the Dragon Ball and Naruto characters in a room to see what happens?!

Naruto and Dragon Ball are similar titles, I think more so than Naruto and Dragon Ball Z. Both Naruto and DB have young heroes who basically start off alone, have great hidden strengths, and have kind hearts. These heroes gain new friends and incredible strength along their journeys. Both series have a nice blend of both action and comedy as well.

Both shows are about a young boy who grows up alone, although Goku's grandpa raised him...it is clear that he's been by himself for a while. It also shows how incredibly dumb the protagonist in both of the series are, but they are still incredible and unpredictable fighters. The fights in both series are similiar as well. Trust me if you like Naruto you will definetely like Dragon Ball.

Well, Dragon Ball is an old anime and it is fairly difficuilt to compare those two although they have a lot in common. Dragon ball tells the story of young Goku and his adventures while he grows up and learns about life. The plot is almost indetical to the one in Naruto exept for the "ninja" thing. They both have monsters inside since the day they were born. Goku has the gift to make his enemies his friends just like Naruto. Both anime have 200+ eps which is quite impressive for a shounen series.

If you like action/adveture then either one is for you! Both follow a young hero that must get stronger in order to protect those close to him. They both also have thier funny moments too!

If you like your action/adventure with a side order of laughter then get watching!

There is young boy who's growing with powers and protecting world from bad guys. Super powers, magic, fights etc. - you can find it in both.

The main characters (Naruto and Goku) both are hot-headed. Like Naruto, Goku plans to be the strongest fighter and begins on his journey.. Both animes are based on training and fighting.

If you didn't like ''short'' Naruto battles, you gonna like full of action Dragon Ball battles.

Both cover the journey of a young hero with a variety of different characters. Goku's teacher Master Roshi is much like Jiraiya.

Plus we get  two enemies who eventually becomes a good guys, much like the Sand Siblings.

Lastly, both have exciting and over-the-top action which has the character gain in speed and power over time.

Dragon Ball and Naruto are typical shounen anime. They feature a lot of characters and great fights. Dragon Ball is more fighting centric while Naruto has a more detailed plot and some emotional moments. Note that Naruto has a huge amount of pointless fillers in the last cca. 70 episodes.

Fullmetal Alchemist

Fullmetal Alchemist

Once upon a time, two brothers passed the happy days of their childhood by studying alchemy, which is governed by the equal transfer principle: an eye for an eye -- you can't get more than you give. But these brothers tried to defy that law, and a horrific accident resulted. Now, the older brother, Edward, is called the Full Metal Alchemist because of his metal limbs, and the younger, Alphonse, is a soul without a body, trapped within the confines of an automaton. Together they search for the power to restore themselves, to find the lives they lost so long ago...

Both "Naruto" and "Fullmetal Alchemist" are series that easily are classified as mere fighting animes. In both cases I would disagree with the "mere"-part. Both of these animes have plenty of fights, but the also have the ability to go deeper in a way that will make them appreciated not only by adolescents, but by adults as well, and as such they both represent the cream of the crop of fighting anime.

In "FMA" we have power of alchemy and in "Naruto" we have power of ninja scrolls, but in the end it IS magic and that make those anime worlds so different from ours and so interesting. I think the most common thing between these two series is that one person from the bad team is very close to the main character.

Both Naruto and FMA have similar main characters and are about adventures. When I watched FMA it felt very much like Naruto; it deals with similar problems of growing up and playing with the cards life gives you. The main characters both have about the same amount of joy, sorrow, sacrifice and most importantly the same amount of willpower to deal with impossible situations. While Naruto has grown into a huge series, FMA is more to the point; and that will probably put FMA a point or two higher than Naruto.

FMA and Naruto are two shounen anime that have interesting characters, great action, a well-made story (which involves a made up world with its own laws and people), and are very popular.

They are both great watches and I'm sure that if you liked one, the other one is worth a shot.

Just like Naruto Uzumaki, Ed and Al in Fullmetal Alchemist leave on a journey of discovery trying to reach a final goal, and willing to do anything for it. As their mother who played a key role in their life is now dead (similar to Naruto's), they don't have the past holding them back, and Ed decides to do whatever it takes to get Al's real body back. If you liked Naruto, you'll love this as well (it's also shorter).

FMA and Naruto are similar because they are full of action, and they both have thier serious, and funny sides. Both Ed, and Naruto are strong characters that you either really like, or dislike. The two series are also similar because they both have plot twists that you don't see at the beginning of the series.

Naruto and FMA are very similar. Good story, characters, art, and twists. Though one may like one more than the other it's definitely worth cheking the other out if you like another.

Both animes are about people reaching their dreams, Each are action packed pack and even small amounts of comedy so the non fighting or plot building parts of sow aren't too dull.

Both Fullmetal Alchemist and Naruto are based on Men who fight as hard as they can to obtain the goal of relieving themselves from a permenent mark set on them as children. Also both series are action packed with TONS of great fight scenes!

because both series are full of strong emotions. Heroes who never give up trying to fullfill their dreams no matter what but always valuing family and friendship above all. Great combats, funny moments and really sophisticated minor characters makes you enjoy this anime even more...

My two absolutly favourite animes^^

They remind a lot about each other and if you'd like the one you'll like the other one :D

In both series we have a person everybody looks down on in the start (Ed & Naruto) but are fighting for there dreams (getting his body back & becoming hokage) and they both end up respekted by everyone around them. And we have the annoying type whom every girl falls in love with (Roy Mustang & Sasuke) whom the protoganist hates but on the other side he is a great friend (okay in the end Sasuke isen't the best friend, but.. xD) and we have the short tempered, hard kicking girl (Winry & Sakura) and not to forget the one who always tries to calm down the protoganist (Al & Kakashi) but this is also the only way they resemble each other O.o (I coulden't imagine Al sitting and reading porn XD ...or i wouldent even try--- ARGH to late-.-) XD

Hardcore fights, they both have it. Blondes, they both have it too.

Of course there's still the thing about teenager~kids trying to achieve big dreams.

So you want fight/battle scenes... and lots of them. Both are really long series, and both have great fight/ battle elements. But it is really in the title characters attitudes that you will seee the resemblance. They really grow on you in their stubborness and rough attitue, and in their ability to overcome succesively greater obstacles

If you like InuYasha or Naruto chances are you'll like the other. They both contain a main character who grew up as an outcast because of the demon in himself (whether sealed or through blood), they both are also very stubborn and are constantly striving to become stronger. Not only that but they pick fights with just about anyone who gets in the way of their goals, so you know you'll see plenty of action. Another major plus is that they are both very long series so you'll be watching them for quite a while.

There's something that makes you want to keep watching Inuyasha, just like Naruto; but it's just a charming or gut feeling. The background story is really important in both of the anime. They share something unique that can't be described with words, you'll just have to see for yourself.

Both Naruto and Inuyasha feature a wide variety of characters. The main characters each have a dark past, but want to overcome it and gain respect. The supporting characters are also very well developed and are interesting to follow. Another plus is that there's plenty of action. So if you like action mixed with a side of tragedy and drama, you'll like both of these anime.

Villians make a story good. Both series contain smart villians with complex plots. they both pace well and are great at adding new element even when the series gets long.

There are many similarities in both series: Battles, demons, love, perverted characters, evil, many episodes and whatever. While Inuyasha is made up of concluded episodes, Naruto has a longer and more detailed story throughout the series. You decide watch you liked more!

Both shows involve travelling around in search of various things. Whether is an object, or a person. Characters can be simular at times as well.

Both Inuyasha and Naruto have long spanning plots as well as smaller episode by episode conflicts. They also both include a combination of action and comedy, and fantasy elements.

Both animes have similar characters and themes... in naruto is about becoming a strong shinobi and in inuyasha is about becoming a legendary monster. There is also a little romance between the main characters and is a long fight between good and evil..

They are both shounen anime with a large number of characters. The title character seems like a strong guy who wants to protect people, but he is really so much more than that. Plus, both anime have one useless main character-either Shippo or Sakura. I prefer InuYasha because its characters are much less annoying and it has better villians.

First of all, Naruto and Soul Eater are both very similar types of Shounen anime. They both focus on action while splicing in drama and comedy just enough so that it keeps the series interesting. Soul Eater and Naruto also both stories about students attending a school where they hone their abilites as fighters and strive to become the strongest. Also the characters in Soul Eater share many of the same traits as the characters in Naruto, i.e.: Soul is similar to Souske in that he is the cool, calm, and collected type while still being extremely powerful. Black Star is similar to Naruto in that both have an a huge ego, are clumsy and strong when they need to be. All in all, if you liked Naruto because of the action/comedy/drama mix then you will like Soul Eater (the reverse applies as well).

Both are very similar cause the adventures are interesting and suprising. The characters are always looking for a way to be more strong and besides, there's a character in Soul Eater that REALLY resembles Naruto!

These 2 shows are very similar in style but not in story, Soul eater is about a weird world with witches and mythological beings etc... Naruto is about normal people who have trained to get abilites, however different story the style is the same main characters become stronger to beat bad guy, there will be a super powerful mentors (kakashi as to professor stein) goofy kids with good abilities (saske to soul) (naruto to blacks star) etc... If you liked  bleach you will like soul eater.

both animes are based is young teen with "special abilities". the type of comedie is the same, in both stories the characters are "students" that keep learning diferente kinna powers (jutsu's in naruto's case)

If you like Soul Eater you would like Naruto (visa versa). There Action scenes look the same, they also have the same sort of Animation. They also have the same Adventure kind of Style.

Both of these shows are great Shounen Anime, when things aren't serious, there is plenty of comedy, but when things get tough, the action is intense, always making you want more.

Mostly because they are both full of action and comedy. Another reason is because since they both have a fantasy like anime going on. Also they both contain people doing mystical powers and all.

If you liked the characters in Naruto or Soul Eater, you will like the characters in the other anime. A lot of the characters have the same spunk and personality. There is also the added humor and practical joke-loving aspect in both animes.

Soul eater is very similar to Naruto as it about groups of young people who fight. It might not be long and it might have shallower plot but it's better made with nicer sense of humour and not that long. Extreme similarities can be seen on some charachters such as Naruto and Star.

Both feature students in academies set up by a government in which they are trained to fight. In naruto it is Ninjas who learn ninja arts and develope the skills passed down through their families. In Soul Eater, there are weapon wielders and weapons who are training their souls so that they can defeat evil and get enough souls to turn the weapon into a super weapon. They both throw in a lot of humor in the storylines but I feel Naruto has done more for character developement, could be just because it is a longer anime. I feel that Soul Eater was a bit darker but they both are very similar so someone who loves one would really love the other.
