Saiyuki

Alt titles: Gensou Maden Saiyuki

Saiyuki main image

In the mystical world of Shangri-la, demons and humans live side by side, watched over by a parthenon of ancient Chinese gods. But when normally-civilized demons start to go berserk, the gods require the services of Genjou Sanzo - a Buddhist priest with a magical gun, an evil-banishing scripture and a take-no-prisoners attitude. Aided by the ancient monkey god Son Goku, the half-demon Sha Gojyo and the demon exterminator Cho Hakkai, he sets off on a treacherous journey westward, with armies of demons, dark mages and angry gods all standing in his way...

Saiyuki is similar to Naruto in a way. Goku must deal with his alter ego that would destroy anything in its path, while Naruto also has a demon that would destroy anything in its path. Saiyuki is trying to bring peace back to humans and demons that was lost during the minus wave, and Naruto is trying to do the same in this movie. Saiyuki is similar to Naruto even though it doesn't look like it is.

Five years have passed since Goku and his friends defeated Piccolo Jr. and restored peace to the planet. Gohan - Goku's son - and a variety of good, bad, and morally ambiguous characters are back, and perpetually not ready for action! Aliens, androids, and magicians all hatch evil plots to destroy the world and it's up to Goku to save the Earth once more - that is, once he and his comrades train plentifully in preparation.  Enemies will become friends and power levels will rise to unimaginable levels, but even with the help of the legendary Dragon Balls and Shen Long will it be enough to save Earth from ultimate destruction?

Naruto is one of the best anime out there. If you liked Naruto and you want more anime that has lots of fighting in it, go with Dragon Ball Z. It's another one of the best anime ever made. Naruto and Dragon Ball Z are on the top of my list of must see anime for everyone.

Tenjho Tenge

Tenjho Tenge main image

Toudou Gakuen is no ordinary high school. There, during the Meiji Restoration, fighting masters were forced to gather from all over Japan to reestablish the martial arts. Amongst the student body is a group of immensely powerful fighters who maintain order through absolute power. This "Enforcement Group" is locked in a feud with the Jyuuuken Club over matters of love and death. Now, two newcomers have disturbed the order of this school, becoming entangled in this vicious feud. Caught between sexy babes and terrible powers, the battle to be the strongest begins!

Tenjou Tenge is another anime where characters can have their powers explode, and offers some truly hardcore fights. For me personally, both Tenjou Tenge and Naruto Special 2 went overboard in a very similar fashion. So without a doubt these gave me the same feeling and should appeal to the same fans.

Claymore

Claymore main image

In times of olde, humans live in constant fear of demons known as yoma. These vicious creatures can take the appearance and memories of humans they have devoured, thus blending into society as they freely feast on human flesh. The key to stopping the yoma lies with the tolerated yet feared Claymores - women who are half-demon, half-human, and fully fated to become the demons that they hunt. Meanwhile, in a village, the young Raki has been banished; his only crime was losing his family to the yoma. Raki is drawn to a Claymore named Clare, and together their journey begins. While Clare fights the yoma plaguing the land, can Raki help her in her struggle to retain her humanity?

If you liked how Kyuubi and the Hero Water could make chakra explode like mad, you're going to love how Claymore animates its fights. Be warned though, as Claymore has a lot of gore and gets very dark. If you're frightened easily and preferred the lighthearted side of the Naruto special, Claymore probably won't be your thing.

On their way they make many new friends like Oolong, Master Roshi and Yamucha – but they are not the only ones interested in making their wishes come true. DB Movie 4 tells another tale about adventure where strong foes are fought. Though this might be a common concept, these two anime definitely felt alike. Goku's power can explode just as badly Naruto's, but it doesn't go overboard and kick the entire storyline out of the window; this gives a very familiar feeling to the second Naruto special.
