My-HiME has a lot more mystery and story than Naruto Shippuuden will ever have, and also has the villains with dark motives and sad moments that you found in Naruto.

Both Main Characters have a power that is sealed inside of them and can cause harm to them if used or used too much.

They Both have an organization who wants the power sealed in them for thier own benefits.

Nabari may deal with modern ninjas but the ninja arts and jutsus are alot similar in both series. Nabari has a much more mature storyline than Naruto's.

They both deal with hardships and friendships. And Both Characters wants to save someone. Naruto Wants to save Sasuke; Miharu wants to save Yoite.

LannerFalcon

Thoug at first glance they appear unquarellated, more detailed investigation will yield a number of similarities. In each series, the protagonist is a teenager, with an obsessive desire to protect his friends.

Both involve four man sqads, and extraordinary abilities.

The one difference is probably in this; Naruto is much slower paced, and has far more episodes.

Ninja Nonsense

Ninja Nonsense

Fans of ninja anime are sure to enjoy 2x2 = Shinobuden, which is a humorous series about ninja that makes fun of itself. Sometimes you need a break from serious anime and fillers and need to see "ninja behaving badly". Shinobuden both warms your heart and splits your sides at once.

Ninja Scroll

I should start off by saying.. Ninja ScrollNaruto Shippuden have very different feels to them. Ninja Scroll being a seinen movie, with adult content and a simple storyline and universe (it's a movie afterall), while Naruto Shippuden is a shounen series, with a lighter feel to it, but a somehow complex storyline and universe (being around 400+ episodes this day if you add Naruto).

Anyways, let's get to the reccomendation! xD. If you don't mind the feel to the anime (basically if you're willing to watch both seinen and shounen), and enjoy the action of either of these animes (strong ninjas, with individual overnatural powers, fighting against eachother), you should make sure to check the other one out. There's even some similarities in the individual powers of the characters. You can't help to think, that the writer of Naruto got some inspiration from Ninja Scroll.
