This anime is just like Naruto based on friends and friendship which you'll need to accomplish your goals. They both have to undertake 'impossible' quests to protect their friends and be happily ever after! That's why you'd like both these animes!

Veryan Veryan says...

This anime is verry like naruto, they both start out as 2 useless kids who can do nothing, but eventually grow to get strong. I would recommend this anime to anyone!

I think KHR and Naruto are very alike because Tsuna is like Naruto: No good at the start but throughout the anime, you see them develop. They both also think friends are an important part of their life and would risk anything to save them. Hibari and Sasuke are alike: they both don't socialize with other members of their team but they are very powerful and both have negative thoughts and fight a lot. Reborn is like Kakashi: they both teach their team; Kakashi - Naruto; Reborn - Tsuna, and they are both quite funny, serious and extremely powerful but don't show it until later.

theonus theonus says...

B) Character trains between each main fight to become more powerful for the next.

C) Seemingly unreciprocated love puts the main character in some crazy situations

D) The main character is able to sway former enemies to be on their side after a battle.

E) The main character becomes more powerful in the quest for peace.

Naruto and Kenichi both have the same style in my opinion. Both are about a main character who has a dream, gets emotional quickly, and always wants to protect everyone around them. They both are trained by very strong masters or teachers. I also think that the anime are drawn in the same way. The only difference is that in Kenichi , the main character is trained by a very strong group of masters and in Naruto the characters learn to fight in a school. If you liked one, I'm sure you'll like the other.

Both Naruto and Kenichi have lots of action, fight scenes, and superb graphics and design. They are great quality martial arts anime; and while both of them may take place in different settings, both have plenty of quality fights, humor and fighting techniques.

Both of the anime's are about a young and weak boy that goes though lots of work and training to become really powerfull. Along their journey to become stronger , they meet new friends and enemies.

Basilisk

Basilisk

Oboro, a naive, love-struck girl, is pledged to Gennosuke, an idealist. Both are successors to opposing ninja clans with a long history of hatred kept barely in check by a covenant of peace. Just as the two vow to reconcile the clans with their marriage, the shogun orders the feud to resume in order to resolve an internal struggle that threatens to tear the Tokugawa shogunate apart. Even worse, Oboro and Gennosuke themselves are forced to lead their clans in battle. Can the star-crossed lovers resist the brutal circumstances and remain true to their love as the death toll rises?

Entrility Entrility says...

Basilisk is basically a pumped up version of Naruto. Although the plot is not the same, the type of world is. Basilisk centers on the two ninja tribes trying to kill each other off, whereas Naruto is about the main character trying to find his brotherlike friend

The best thing about Basilisk is that it exceeds Naruto in subtle areas. For example, the technique names are not shouted out as they occur, and dialogue doesn't take up much of each episode.

LecturerOnizuka LecturerOnizuka says...

From the very start you will notice the darker nature of these two series and the idea that fighting and battle tactics come to the fore in both. If you like Ninja series with ninjas who need to hone their skills, this is for you.

MalteseFalcon MalteseFalcon says...

If Naruto is a kid ninja series, and Naruto Shippuden a teen, then Basilisk is definately the mature adult. Taking the same premise - ninjas from different clans fighting with abilities beyond the scope of normal people for dominance - and cranking up the mature themes, Basilisk is definately not a series for kids. However, if you are looking for something more adult, with a dark and gritty feel, you should try watching Basilisk.

Blue Exorcist

Blue Exorcist

Amidst the struggle, he not only awakens latent powers sealed within him, but also learns that he is the son of Satan! No longer able to stay under the protection of the church and with his very existence straddling the line between human and demon, Rin decides to fight against his parentage and joins the True Cross Order as an exorcist. Now, the teen must attend the True Cross Academy and begin special exorcist training alongside his new comrades all while keeping his identity a secret; but can the son of Satan really become a true exorcist?

paganfire paganfire says...

Both series focus on male lead characters that have qualities about themselves that they have no control over. Naruto with the demon fox, and Rin is Satan's son. Both characters are hunted and mistreated in similar ways. Naruto and Rin also strive towards the better side of their humanity and fight to protect people they love. They also have similar goal sets that are very long term - Naruto wants to be Hokage, and Rin wants to defeat Satan. Both of these goals are nobel and very hard to obtain. If you like(d) Blue Exorcist or Naruto i would series check whatever series you haven't seen out.

emjidi emjidi says...

Both protagonists start out naive, overly ambitious, clumsy, have short fuses, and rely on their strength without thinking things through. They are constantly picked on for their ideals and their idiocy. Each is conflicted by an inner demon, as well as those who seek to use their strength and power. Although Rin and Naruto are a little "slow", they each have a way of reaching through to people's hearts and changing them in positive ways.

Busou Renkin

Busou Renkin

Some things in life are so bad that you'd like to pretend they're just a dream. Unfortunately for Kazuki, trying to save a strange girl from being brutally killed by monsters (and ending up dying instead) is an unfortunate reality. Out of pity, the girl replaces Kazuki's heart with an alchemy-based artifact known as Kakugane, so that he may live on. With this strange device, Kazuki gains the power of Busou Renkin -- Arms Alchemy; a power that will come in handy when monsters (and worse) begin to plague his town! Kazuki soon meets the girl from his “dream” (named Tokiko) in reality, and she tells Kazuki to get on with his life; but with his sister and friends in danger, that might not be possible. Besides, if Kazuki gives up the chance to show off just how manly he can be, how can he hope to win the heart of the alluring older-sister-like Tokiko?!

Both Naruto and Busou Renkin have comedy and action. The main characters both have special powers, and want to protect everyone around them.

MalteseFalcon MalteseFalcon says...

Training to protect others, fighting to protect others, sacrificing to protect others, such are the things that the Naruto from Naruto Shippuden and Kazuki from Busuo Renkin do. Add in crazy abilities, overpowering enemies, and plenty of interesting comrades and you end up with two series which, while not completely similar, are close enough in theme and tone that I would recommend you take a look at one if you liked the other.
