Bleach, like Naruto, is also a great anime to watch. The action in Bleach is on par with the action in Naruto, but does not really have the adventure aspect of it. So if you like adventure then you might be a little disappointed. Otherwise, the comedy is relatively on par with Naruto, maybe a little better. Basically, if you want a good all-around anime on par with Naruto Shippuuden then Bleach is the show to watch.

Sinnesfrid Sinnesfrid says...

Naruto Shippuuden and Bleach are perfect complementary series. When one is more serious, the other is more fun; and when the other becomes more serious, the other becomes less serious. These two fit together well because of that.

Naruto and Bleach are must-see anime. In both anime the main character has a strong urge and need to improve himself and to become the strongest to protect the people around him.

Both Bleach and Naruto have great action, exciting plots, and intriguing characters that draw you in with almost incredible ease. They easily balance drama and humour, and can go from serious one moment to hilarious the next. While there is much debate as to which is better, I say simply this: watch both! They're similar enough that if you like one you'll certainly like the other, and yet they are still very different in some ways. If you've watched one and liked it, make sure not to miss out on the other one. You may find you like it just as much or more.

Bleach is like Naruto; they are both currently-leading shounen anime. They've both earned their positions and are action-packed series that draw in a lot of beginner anime fans. Battles with superpowers and a small interesting story are things you'll find in both.

Both Naruto and Bleach have great action, great stories, and many different and interesting characters with unique personalities. You'll find your favorite character for sure! Though there are lots of action scenes, there are also great comedy scenes. You'll often wait in excitement for the next episode! By the way, both anime do contain annoying filler episodes.

Naruto is probably more light-hearted through more of the show than Bleach, but both have entertainment in the forms of fighting, fun and more, that you can't really afford to miss either.

Both containing strong, loud-mouthed, yet likeable lead characters, Bleach and Naruto carry some similar themes, such as the importance of friendship. If you enjoy Bleach or Naruto Shippuden, then you'd enjoy the other because both are about the fighting and abilities of characters. In both anime you become attached to the life, strife, and ultimate goals of a main character. You will watch as the main and secondary character(s) grow in abilities and strength. You will enjoy becoming attached to certain characters, and you'll find yourself yearning for more at the end of every episode.

daveantiheroes daveantiheroes says...

both series have common view of battle and story.

the character design in both series is wonderful

Mozuri Mozuri says...

First of all, both series feature main characters with spiked hair so it would be impossible to not like the other. Secondly they both use action as a substitute for plot, so there are no confusing elements to the stories. Also both main characters have signature super moves, so that adds a massive cool factor to both shows. Ichigo uses his Jetsubo Tinjbou to drill the heavens, and Naruto uses his Raisingon to kill all grape based devil fruit within a 500 ft radius. Lastly both series go on way longer than anyone would want so even if you get bored of them, there will still be more episodes waiting for you! Never ending fun times await those who watch these shows. If you like one, you will no doubt like the other.

Both anime are epic length action adventure stories with many episodes and multiple story arcs.  Some folks don't like the "filler" episodes between story arcs as they don't advance the plot but such fluff is inevitable when dealing with any series of this length, and much of it is fun pointlessness!

If you like following the growth of a hero and his friends, and love to share their journey and adventures along the way, these anime offer plenty of fighting action, friendship development and continuous storylines to help you bond with and get to know their characters and world.

CrimsonxDevil CrimsonxDevil says...

Both are awesoome but bleach is more on action while naruto is more on adventure. Both are funny at the right moments and can bring tears as well. Definitely worth a try.

Shippuden finds Naruto older and more powerful. Great continuation of an already awesome series. Lots of similarities between Naruto and Ichigo, except Ichigo is more reluctant as a hero. Still, both have lots of guts/spirit/heart and I can't imagine being a fan of either and not likeing the other.

Actually I resisted watching Bleach for a while but I was very happy when I finally watched. Definitely check either out...like DBZ but not so linear and with more plot development.

One Piece

One Piece

Long ago the infamous Gol D. Roger was the strongest and most powerful pirate on the seas. As he was about to be executed he revealed that he hid all of his wealth, including the legendary treasure known as One Piece, on an island at the end of the Grand Line - a treacherous and truly unpredictable sea. Monkey D. Luffy is a spirited, energetic and somewhat dim-witted young man with a very big dream: to find One Piece and become the Pirate King! However Luffy is no ordinary boy, as when he was younger he ate one of the Devil's Fruits and gained its power to become a Rubber Man. Now in this grand age of pirates Luffy sets out to gather a crew and sail to the most dangerous sea in the world so that he can fulfill his dream... and maybe even his appetite!

Naruto and One Piece really follow the same plot: there are lots of dramatic fights between people with strange powers. Watch Naruto if you want to see interesting and "hmm that's a fight method I've never seen before" types of fights, and watch One Piece for the overall quality and humor that goes with the fist bashing.

freakzilla freakzilla says...

One Piece is another great shounen title. While fighting against the mysterious, Luffy moves forward in hopes of becoming the Pirate King - much like how Naruto aims to be Hokage. It has a bit more humor, the same awesome fights and that adventure you will never forget!

sarwor248 sarwor248 says...

Both One Piece and Naruto Shippuden are about a guy who will do anything to reach his goal in life. Luffy wants to be Pirate King, and Naruto wants to be Hokage. They both have a "never give up" attitude, and inspire everyone around them. Both anime have lots of great action and fights with interesting villians.

Radaghast Radaghast says...

It is possible to spend an eternity to argue about what's better - pirates or ninjas - yet most shounen fans enjoy both. One Piece is generally considered more cracky, which is true, but it still gets pretty serious at times, it's just a different kind of seriousness. OP is less about training your hardest, completing missions and dealing with the loss of those close to you, and more about standing up to your ideals and constantly backing them up with costly actions.

Still there is one theme the two anime share to the fullest: friendship, parting with friends and getting the lost friends back. The reasons are considerably different, but the theme is the same.

cassiesheepgirl cassiesheepgirl says...

While in town one day Lucy meets a perpetually-seasick boy named Natsu who, through a series of events, reveals to her that he's none other than the fire-eating mage Salamander of Fairy Tail! Lucy is finally able to join Fairy Tail and quickly begins to take on odd jobs with Natsu and his gang for fame and profit. Along with her fiery friend, Happy the flying cat, Natsu's archrival Gray and their overseer the invincible and beautiful Erza, Lucy sets forth for epic adventures that leave an epic amount of destruction in their wake. If you like Fairy Tail or Naruto Shippuden, you'd enjoy the other because they are both fighting type anime while using Magic/Ninjutsu type attacks. You follow a cast of characters in both anime as they go through life and grow stronger both physically and personally. You will enjoy watching as they gain new powers and fight stronger opponents around every turn. I suggest you check both out!

varisk varisk says...

Both these anime are very similar in feel. They both start out, fairly episodic with 3-4 Man teams accomplishing various missions. The missions also tend to be more then they seem. For example, a simple fetch quest turns into discovering a much larger plot. The main characters are also similar, the two male leads are great friends yet they are always competing and getting in fights. The main male lead, Natsu is similar to Naruto in managing to accomplish something people thought was not possible, minus the whole stigma of being the carrier of a demon.  He tends to pull his power out of nowhere when he defeats yet another insurmountable task. You will find that many of the other characters draw similar parallels in either series. They are good compliments and if you enjoy one, you should the other. The art could also be called similar if you are into the clean smooth look of the series.

Shiraiyuki Shiraiyuki says...

Both Naruto Shippuden and Fairy tail focuse strongly in the concept of Nakama. To the character in Fairy tail and Naruto Shippuden,  their nakama are the most important thing to them and they will always protect them.In both there's a strong main character who can raise everyone's spirits everytime their depressed or put everyone laughting even when there's a disaster;they will always try to do things on their own so that they won't bother their nakama in the process.even if its in protecting the place they live in, a guild or a village, they will do anything to protect it becauseit's their sacred place.

ch0p5tixmast3r ch0p5tixmast3r says...

The series is comedy/action/fantasy. It also is based on the premise of friendship and is relationship-driven. Both are very long series in which the main character continually has to face hurdles to meet the next challenge. Also, the protagonists of both series operate in groups to accomplish goals (ie: Naruto Shippuden and Team Kakashi and Fairy Tail has a team consisting of a handful of characters that take on quests together). Naruto and Salamandar both have similar personalities, also. Stubborn, persistent, and comical.

Naruto and the main character Asta in Black Clover are similar in some ways. I really liked both shows but some people dislike Black Clover simply because Asta is more on the loud side. If you can get over the loudness of Asta then I guarantee you'll seriously enjoy the show. Black Clover is a show about a world of magic. More so a world that relies on magic. If you like episodic fights that keep you captivated and a lot of "cliff-hanger" episode endings that leave you wanting 'more'. This series is for you.

Radaghast Radaghast says...

If the fights with Akatsuki members are not epic enough, try Dragon Ball Z. This anime is much more oldschool shounen (which makes sense, given its age), but it shouldn't turn you off since you liked Naruto.

This recommendation is even more compelling if you don't mind the slow pace of Naruto Shippuden - some combat scenes in DBZ are overextended as well.

Viciouslight Viciouslight says...

Evolution this is the strong point of both animes and something that makes them similar. I always say Naruto is the Dragonball/Z of this generation.

darkreaper321 darkreaper321 says...

I'd say naruto is like the dbz of this era. DBZ, i have to warn you about dragged out fights and fillers. But i always respect this as the best anime becoz this is what got me into anime.

Both share similar approaches to the development of main character. Gon and Naruto both do not know their fathers, forn friends along the journeyand so on. Even the various powers, fighting techniques, situation analysis are very similar. For example Killua's Godspeed and the lightning jutsu of Raikage are esselntially the same. If you like one I guarantee you will be thrilled by the other. Although Shippuden does have one too many fillers.

Now, these two animes are just amazing. I think that these main characters have so much in common, things such as working hard, not giving up, and to save your friends/comrades. Both Naruto and Gon accomplish their goals after hard work and making many friends.

when I watched Hunter x Hunter. I was surprised because this anime is shounen like naruto but better. I can recommend all who watched naruto this anime

ShiroHatake ShiroHatake says...

Both shows are shounen anime that follow a large cast of characters. Main character has a zero to hero storyline, and characters have special powers or abilities that they use to fight battles and accomplish quests. Both stories are a mix of epic battle scenes, emotional moments, and comedy.

This anime is just like Naruto based on friends and friendship which you'll need to accomplish your goals. They both have to undertake 'impossible' quests to protect their friends and be happily ever after! That's why you'd like both these animes!

Veryan Veryan says...

This anime is verry like naruto, they both start out as 2 useless kids who can do nothing, but eventually grow to get strong. I would recommend this anime to anyone!

banzy123 banzy123 says...

I think KHR and Naruto are very alike because Tsuna is like Naruto: No good at the start but throughout the anime, you see them develop. They both also think friends are an important part of their life and would risk anything to save them. Hibari and Sasuke are alike: they both don't socialize with other members of their team but they are very powerful and both have negative thoughts and fight a lot. Reborn is like Kakashi: they both teach their team; Kakashi - Naruto; Reborn - Tsuna, and they are both quite funny, serious and extremely powerful but don't show it until later.

E) The main character becomes more powerful in the quest for peace.
