Bleach

Bleach

Fifteen-year-old Ichigo Kurasaki is a typical teen with fighting skills, two caring sisters and a special trait: he can see ghosts. However, when Ichigo and his family find themselves under attack by a huge beast, Ichigo discovers that there’s more to the supernatural world than the everyday specter. Vengeful spirits known as Hollows roam the world in search of devouring souls, and Shinigami – soul reapers – work tirelessly to defeat them and guide normal ghosts into a place called Soul Society. Ichigo valiantly fights the Hollow that threatens his sisters, but on the verge of defeat a Shinigami named Rukia gives him her powers, turning him into a Shinigami himself. Ichigo must now adjust to his new life of both vanquishing and saving souls for the sake of Soul Society.

Bleach, like Naruto, is also a great anime to watch. The action in Bleach is on par with the action in Naruto, but does not really have the adventure aspect of it. So if you like adventure then you might be a little disappointed. Otherwise, the comedy is relatively on par with Naruto, maybe a little better. Basically, if you want a good all-around anime on par with Naruto Shippuuden then Bleach is the show to watch.

Sinnesfrid

Naruto Shippuuden and Bleach are perfect complementary series. When one is more serious, the other is more fun; and when the other becomes more serious, the other becomes less serious. These two fit together well because of that.

daniel44044

Naruto and Bleach are must-see anime. In both anime the main character has a strong urge and need to improve himself and to become the strongest to protect the people around him.

mydarkseclusion

Both Bleach and Naruto have great action, exciting plots, and intriguing characters that draw you in with almost incredible ease. They easily balance drama and humour, and can go from serious one moment to hilarious the next. While there is much debate as to which is better, I say simply this: watch both! They're similar enough that if you like one you'll certainly like the other, and yet they are still very different in some ways. If you've watched one and liked it, make sure not to miss out on the other one. You may find you like it just as much or more.

freakzilla

Bleach is like Naruto; they are both currently-leading shounen anime. They've both earned their positions and are action-packed series that draw in a lot of beginner anime fans. Battles with superpowers and a small interesting story are things you'll find in both.

strawberryichigoaw14

Both Naruto and Bleach are about people who work together to fight bad guys. Both of the protagonists in the anime make a lot of friends throughout their stories, as well as enemies.

Weeqay

Both Naruto and Bleach share great fights with intriguing, genuine characters and fine animation. In addition to that, both share the same humor and provide enough episodes to ensure your addiction for a long time.

argona

Both Naruto and Bleach have great action, great stories, and many different and interesting characters with unique personalities. You'll find your favorite character for sure! Though there are lots of action scenes, there are also great comedy scenes. You'll often wait in excitement for the next episode! By the way, both anime do contain annoying filler episodes.

diver211

If you like shows with swords, Bleach is something you should watch.  It's similar to Naruto Shippuuden in that a team of five people set out to save a friend from being killed.

raziyll

I would definitely suggest these two animes. They both have amazing action sequences and intense storylines. They also both delve into demons, magic, martial arts, etc. A must see for any Shonen fan.

isdaiga

Both series has good scenario, lots of action and good soundtracks. If you like one, you‘d undoubtedly like the other.

Parax

Both bleach and Naruto Shippuden both have a similarish fight style and they both incorperate the whole idea of the main character having great power. Seeing the story line and basic fighting is the so simular you should find Naruto Shippuden a most enjoyable experience.

Iluvcelina

If you like fighting and scary guys who love to kill you should watch this. After you watch like the first episode you'll be addicted to it.

Drake004

Both characters basically start form the bottom and they both have pasts that eventually come to light, and the seris both progress they have support characters who come to join the figt on occasion and some who are always there part of their team friends and loved ones who help them out and almost trying to improve them selves to be the strongest show everyone their the best they can be, the stories basically span several years and and show how much they care fro their friends and comrades and even their rivals, mostly serious with comedic releif and some very memorable characters

fenixeld

Naruto Shippuden and Bleach are both about people who fight to save and protect the persons wich are importent to them and to do so they most fight lots of strong openents and get get stronger.

saiyamar

Both are popular ongoing anime at the moment and seem to fit well as a watching pair.

Naruto is probably more light-hearted through more of the show than Bleach, but both have entertainment in the forms of fighting, fun and more, that you can't really afford to miss either.

BlaizeAlight

Both containing strong, loud-mouthed, yet likeable lead characters, Bleach and Naruto carry some similar themes, such as the importance of friendship. If you like the action of Naruto, you'll love the intensity of Bleach's battle scenes, and if you like the snippets of humour that Naruto offers, then Bleach is also a excellent choice with a range of comical characters appearing.

cassiesheepgirl

If you enjoy the action in Naruto Shippuuden and like watching Naruto strive to achieve his goal, then you may well want to check out Bleach. Both have plenty of kick-ass shounen action that will keep you entertained.

CMHerrera

Its a very long anime same amount of fillers, both action, fighting, shounen. And both about a main character (male) geting stronger as the Anime goes, and finds out more about his past.

inferain12

Bleach is filled with action just like Naruto. Also you have a fight in almost every episode. The plot is very interesting and you have gorgeous characters like Rangiku, Orihime, etc.

Viciouslight

These 2 animes which are run by Shounen Jump are very similar in many aspects. Each contain a large cast of interesting characters, main character fights for others and continues to grow with inner evil powers, the animation is very similar and just a blast to watch both.

Andily21

Just like in Bleach, Naruto Shippuden has a lot of action, comedy and slight hints of romance.

Naruto Shippuden is a bit more mature, and a lot more action happens than in Naruto!

Bleach is one of my favorites, so if you like one, you'll definitley like the other(:

Crimm

If you enjoy Bleach or Naruto Shippuden, then you'd enjoy the other because both are about the fighting and abilities of characters. In both anime you become attached to the life, strife, and ultimate goals of a main character. You will watch as the main and secondary character(s) grow in abilities and strength. You will enjoy becoming attached to certain characters, and you'll find yourself yearning for more at the end of every episode.

Drago1274

Bleach and Naruto relate in many ways. They are both good anime. The characters have the same inner conflict as the other. The challenges the protaganist have to face have some similarities between Bleach and Naruto Shippuden.

darkreaper321

Bleach is pretty much similar to naruto, but it focuses more on its fight scenes than naruto which is more dependent on emotion.

RiseOfTheAnimes

They are both action filled and have great lead roles which go well with each other ^^ Also both need a lot of patience to watch so you can watch them both together

Blaopink

Despite the difference between the Jitsu's and Bankai's, there practically asymetrical in progressive narrative.

sm3xyang3l

The two animes are similar in quite a couple of ways. Both have awesome action scenes, really sad scenes that would make you cry, but also have happy and hilarious scenes as well. The main character and his comrades both strives to become strong to protect their loved ones. As they get stronger, more obstacles come in their way, but they'll definitely get through in the end! If you one or the other you'll most likely like them!!!

Waterinthesky

Because they are both shows that can inspire, two characters set to never give up and protect the ones close to them.

Fighting styles are similar yet so different.

Mongoose334

this anime is like naruto in a way that both main characters are progressing and are on a path to protect everyone. Both also have a great story line.

daveantiheroes

both series have common view of battle and story.

the character design in both series is wonderful

One Piece

One Piece

  • 1999 - ?

Long ago the infamous Gol D. Roger was the strongest and most powerful pirate on the seas. As he was about to be executed he revealed that he hid all of his wealth, including the legendary treasure known as One Piece, on an island at the end of the Grand Line - a treacherous and truly unpredictable sea. Monkey D. Luffy is a spirited, energetic and somewhat dim-witted young man with a very big dream: to find One Piece and become the Pirate King! However Luffy is no ordinary boy, as when he was younger he ate one of the Devil's Fruits and gained its power to become a Rubber Man. Now in this grand age of pirates Luffy sets out to gather a crew and sail to the most dangerous sea in the world so that he can fulfill his dream... and maybe even his appetite!

Naruto and One Piece really follow the same plot: there are lots of dramatic fights between people with strange powers. Watch Naruto if you want to see interesting and "hmm that's a fight method I've never seen before" types of fights, and watch One Piece for the overall quality and humor that goes with the fist bashing.

freakzilla

One Piece is another great shounen title. While fighting against the mysterious, Luffy moves forward in hopes of becoming the Pirate King - much like how Naruto aims to be Hokage. It has a bit more humor, the same awesome fights and that adventure you will never forget!

sarwor248

Both One Piece and Naruto Shippuden are about a guy who will do anything to reach his goal in life. Luffy wants to be Pirate King, and Naruto wants to be Hokage. They both have a "never give up" attitude, and inspire everyone around them. Both anime have lots of great action and fights with interesting villians.

Radaghast

It is possible to spend an eternity to argue about what's better - pirates or ninjas - yet most shounen fans enjoy both. One Piece is generally considered more cracky, which is true, but it still gets pretty serious at times, it's just a different kind of seriousness. OP is less about training your hardest, completing missions and dealing with the loss of those close to you, and more about standing up to your ideals and constantly backing them up with costly actions.

Still there is one theme the two anime share to the fullest: friendship, parting with friends and getting the lost friends back. The reasons are considerably different, but the theme is the same.

cassiesheepgirl

If you like Naruto Shippuuden then you may want to check out One Piece. Both series place heavy focus on friendship and working together, alongside the action and comedy, so if you like Shippuuden then it's likely you'll enjoy One Piece.

Nevo

Naruto and One Piece both share the same type of Main Character. They both have goals to become someone special (Naruto wants to become a Hokage and Luffy wants to become a Pirate King). Both characters are alike because of attitude of not giving up and trying their best.

ougi

If you liked Naruto you like One Piece because they both have some good fights and an interesting storyline

Viciouslight

This is another Shounen Jump with same style of Naruto and Bleach. Large cast, funny, action and anime style. I have realized that Shounen Jump knows what people like and these animes is what people like.

sm3xyang3l

Both protagonists aim to become the strongest and reach their goal.(Naruto-Hokage, Luffy- Pirate King). The characters in the animes both experience hardship, happiness, but also the grief of losing someone. If you like one or the other, then you should watch the other

Dragon Ball Z

Dragon Ball Z

Gohan - Goku's son - and a variety of good, bad, and morally ambiguous characters are back, and perpetually not ready for action! Aliens, androids, and magicians all hatch evil plots to destroy the world and it's up to Goku to save the Earth once more - that is, once he and his comrades train plentifully in preparation.  Enemies will become friends and power levels will rise to unimaginable levels, but even with the help of the legendary Dragon Balls and Shen Long will it be enough to save Earth from ultimate destruction?

Both Dragon Ball Z and Naruto Shippuuden are based on training, fighting, and showing the results of the fights. The enemies are from different worlds, and as the main characters grow stronger, friends become enemies and enemies become friends. If you liked one try the other.

codecx

It is series like these that end up being great 'gateway drug' for newcomers and anime junkies alike.

If you like episodic fights that keep you captivated and a lot of "cliff-hanger" episode endings that leave you wanting 'more'. This series is for you.

Radaghast

If the fights with Akatsuki members are not epic enough, try Dragon Ball Z. This anime is much more oldschool shounen (which makes sense, given its age), but it shouldn't turn you off since you liked Naruto.

This recommendation is even more compelling if you don't mind the slow pace of Naruto Shippuden - some combat scenes in DBZ are overextended as well.

Viciouslight

Evolution this is the strong point of both animes and something that makes them similar. I always say Naruto is the Dragonball/Z of this generation.

darkreaper321

I'd say naruto is like the dbz of this era. DBZ, i have to warn you about dragged out fights and fillers. But i always respect this as the best anime becoz this is what got me into anime.

If you like Fairy Tail or Naruto Shippuden, you'd enjoy the other because they are both fighting type anime while using Magic/Ninjutsu type attacks. You follow a cast of characters in both anime as they go through life and grow stronger both physically and personally. You will enjoy watching as they gain new powers and fight stronger opponents around every turn. I suggest you check both out!

varisk

Both these anime are very similar in feel. They both start out, fairly episodic with 3-4 Man teams accomplishing various missions. The missions also tend to be more then they seem. For example, a simple fetch quest turns into discovering a much larger plot. The main characters are also similar, the two male leads are great friends yet they are always competing and getting in fights. The main male lead, Natsu is similar to Naruto in managing to accomplish something people thought was not possible, minus the whole stigma of being the carrier of a demon.  He tends to pull his power out of nowhere when he defeats yet another insurmountable task. You will find that many of the other characters draw similar parallels in either series. They are good compliments and if you enjoy one, you should the other. The art could also be called similar if you are into the clean smooth look of the series.

Shiraiyuki

Both Naruto Shippuden and Fairy tail focuse strongly in the concept of Nakama. To the character in Fairy tail and Naruto Shippuden,  their nakama are the most important thing to them and they will always protect them.In both there's a strong main character who can raise everyone's spirits everytime their depressed or put everyone laughting even when there's a disaster;they will always try to do things on their own so that they won't bother their nakama in the process.even if its in protecting the place they live in, a guild or a village, they will do anything to protect it becauseit's their sacred place.

xytrion

they are bouth a fantasie where i would like to live in :).

there's a lott of action, and if they make fillers, they fit propperly in the story most of the time.

naruto is very cool cause it plays off in the past, and i like ninja's. but naruto takes it to a whole other level^^.

and there is fairy tail: all of the superpowers are amazing. if i could i would join fairy tail immediately!!

i hope these story's will continue for al very looong time^^.

Naruto and HxH both have action and adventure. This recommendation is for all those adventure buffs out there that also love to see action in each place that the characters travel to. Hunter X Hunter will satisfy every similar aspect you like about Naruto, except one: Naruto revolves around a ninja's world, while Hunter X Hunter revolves around a hunter's world. All I can really say is that if you loved Naruto Shippudden then you will love this show.

freakzilla

Not only is part of HxH's story comparable to Naruto Shippuuden, it also has plenty of other similarities. Both have tons of humor, action, and adventure; this separates them from other shounen titles, as they have a story that runs a bit deeper than usual.

Weeqay

This recommendation is based on a gut feeling. Both Naruto and HxH are hilarious, but also have some serious episodes. Above all, both share incredibly exciting fights. Besides that, both main characters are performed by the same voice actor.

SLOW

What I loved about HXH is the adventure, which if you like Naruto and Naruto Shippuden then this is for you!
