Both have a pretty meh look to them and animation wise compaired to the series of each. Fans of one would probably enjoy the other.
Both of these movies follow the same formula where the main cast helps out a woman confront her destiny while combating against foes that wish to make use of her to do evil things. Each features pretty decent action, but differ greatly in their endings.
Fifteen-year-old Ichigo Kurosaki is a typical teen with fighting skills, two caring sisters and a special trait: he can see ghosts. However, when Ichigo and his family find themselves under attack by a huge beast, Ichigo discovers that there’s more to the supernatural world than the everyday specter. Vengeful spirits known as Hollows roam the world in search of devouring souls, and Shinigami – soul reapers – work tirelessly to defeat them and guide normal ghosts into a place called Soul Society. Ichigo must now adjust to his new life of both vanquishing and saving souls for the sake of Soul Society.

But this is no ordinary lesson; from the perspective of this actress, we learn of the beauty and sadness of love, the pain and regret and joy of the Japanese people and their film, through this film: Millennium Actress.
Both of these anime have similarities in their main themes. Although Millenium Actress doesn't have guardians such as Naruto, Sasuke or Sakura, the main character has similar problems as the actress that Naruto and his crew are guarding. The two actresses are famous and both have some mysterious unfinished business that hunts them down all the time. And the main connecting point is that both anime contain lots of beautiful scenes in winter ;).
