Ever wanted to see what it would be like if aliens coexisted with humans? Now you can, through the adventures of Narue Nanase. She's an alien girl living with her father, placed on Earth to keep an eye on humanity and prevent them from having direct contact with aliens, a la Men in Black. However, the situation changes when Narue meets Kazuto Iizuka, a boy at her school, after saving him from an evil alien. Soon, they fall in love and become unseparable.
Kei Kusanagi is a shy teenage boy with no romantic experience whatsoever... until he finds out that his hot new teacher is actually an alien! In order to conceal her identity, the two are forced into a pretend marriage... but is it really a pretense, or are they actually falling in love?
Both Onegai Teacher and Narue no Seikai are feel good sorts of love stories involving seemingly human aliens. While both shows match a geeky human male up to an alien female, the plots are otherwise different which is refreshing if you're comparing the two shows. Both are on my top list of feel good love story shows.
Both series are about a young boy/man who falls in love with an alien woman/girl and all the trouble that comes with it!
Ever wanted to join an anime club but felt its geekiness would hurt your reputation? Sasahara feels your pain. Genshiken, the Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture, is an organization of college otaku obsessed with anime, manga and video games. Their daily activities include holding impromptu cosplay photo shoots, braving the crowds and avoiding injury at doujinshi conventions, and tolerating harassment by Saki, a girl irked by her boyfriend's otaku-ness! It's a perfect match for Sasahara's interests, so why is it so difficult for him to join?
Both series revolve around anime fans, their friends and the silly things they get themselves into. Both have cosplay, video games, and the same anime show being watched over and over. If you like the comedy of one you will probably enjoy the other.
The eccentric Suzumiya Haruhi wants nothing more than to meet aliens, time travelers and espers… but she’ll have to settle for the everyday Kyon instead! Along with the mysterious Itsuki and the vacant Mikuru, the duo forms the SOS Brigade – a club whose mission is to discover the mysteries of the world. Armed with a razor sharp wit and a skill for manipulation, Haruhi will stop at nothing to have fun at all costs, even at the expense of Mikuru’s dignity!
Both series contain aliens that go to high school. The aliens don't appear different from everyone else, but they possess technology far superior to the humans they interact with. Both have off-the-wall adventures, and cosplay. If you enjoy the non-human fun in one you will probably like the other.
After having lived elsewhere for several years, Sana returns to the town in which he grew up in, and quickly begins to reacquaint himself to his surroundings and new high school. While there, Sana runs into his four childhood friends: Shuu, Shuri, Aoi, and Nanaka; but for some strange reason Nanaka gives him the cold shoulder. As he goes about his new daily life, can Sana rebuild his friendship with Nanaka while trying to deal with a troubling secret from his past?
