If you're looking for anime similar to Nana, you might like these titles. All recommendations are made by Anime-Planet users like you!
Momo is loud, shallow, a player, a betrayer, and one to best stay away from -- or at least, that's the misconception people have when they see her makeup, bleached hair and suntanned skin. In reality, Momo just wants the same friends, hobbies and crushes any girl her age would like. However, when her only friend starts spreading rumours about her, her boyfriend starts to doubt her, and the most popular boy in school starts to take a more then friendly interest in her, she'll have much more to worry about than just her appearance!
Nana Komatsu and Momo-chan are very similar, as they face the same problems and questions. Nana also deals with hardships involving friendships; these hardships are absent from Peach Girl. These two anime really give you the same feeling as far as the characters go.
Nana and Momo, the two main characters, have both a hard time finding the one who is right for them. They struggle with their emotions and therefore, they are likely to forget their true feelings, the true meaning of love. Nana have a more mature storyline than Peach girl, which can show you different aspects of the same problems.
Both serier are about love and all the trouble that comes when love is involved. So if you like too feel your heart geat ripped out and geat totaly in love again this is the series you should see.
Very similar life problems are seen in Peach Girl and Nana concerning friendships and romance. The series revolve around female characters and their struggle with their emotions and trying to understand their own feelings.
in both ways this animes show how the character of the two females change... also, you can see how they develop their relationship
Both series offer a very intriguing look at relationships and friendships that leaves you addicted to the plot, wanting to find out what happens next. Both also have very well developed characters that are realistic and that don't simply fall into strict black-white categories. Overall, if you liked one, there's a good chance that you'll like the other as well.
In both of these romance shoujo anime you have a lot of mature themes, suicide, rape, pregnancy, addiction, abuse, etc. They are not always light happy fluffy candy coated stories. The relationships in these anime feel very real because they are not perfect relationships. They are relationships formed over a period of long time, and have their ups and downs. There's also love triangle drama in both of these anime. I also think the art style is quite simmilar.
Narumi Takayuki is a normal high school student with a crush on Mitsuki, the school's swim star -- that is, until he receives a profession of love from his friend Haruka. But amidst the beautiful budding relationship, tragedy strikes when an accident occurs, turning Narumi’s life upside-down. Kimi ga Nozomu Eien is a compelling drama about one man, and the choices he must make for love.
Both series are about growing up, facing difficult circumstances, making difficult choices, finding love and maintaining friends. Both series are post-high school which makes them even better. If you liked one then you will surely like the other.
Both Nana and KGnE manage to explore the more complex areas of human relationships. The characters are so well-developed and presented that you are going to forget that they are not real.
Both animes tells about the choices that one have to make in one's love life, of it's consequences and how painful it is to make a choice.
Nana and Kimi ga Nozomu Eien is very similar from my point of view. The main difference are just the ways in which the main characters express their love and the characters themselves are quite different.
Nevertheless, both of these animes are a must watch for romance anime lovers.
Growing up and facing difficult circumstances are hard to do on a regular basis but throw in the hardships that the girls in Kimi ga Nozomu Eien and Nana face and viewers will be undecided on exactly what course of action they would take in the situation. The series revolve around love and dealing with the choices you make, they also display a very good view of human relationships.
Nana and Kimi ga Nozomu Eien have the same themes. Both are about the relationships between people and tough decisions people need to make. Although the plots are very different, I feel that fans of Nana will still definitely enjoy Kimi ga Nozomu Eien and vice versa
Both of these anime have a heart-breaking story , with a lot of twists in the plot and people getting hurt. They are both about grown-ups and about the love they have for one another, but also about friendship and how easily that friendship can be harmed. Nana and Kimi ga Nozomu Eien show the reality , how hard life can be for the characters and they both show this at a very high intensity, with very powerful feelings flowing into the viewers as they watch them.
Santa, the drummer of CLIMB, has just left the band after finding his girlfriend in the arms of a friend. Along with Yuki, the lead guitarist, they start their own band called "Lucifer, The Fallen Angel," and set out to find new band-mates. Recruitment is not easy, however, and on a search to find a vocalist the duo runs across a promising bass guitarist and a local hotel's piano player and singer who has been wowing patrons daily. With little time to spare, can the two round up the talent they desire, or will Sakuya let his anti-social personality hold him, and his newfound band, back?
Nana and Kaikan Phrase both deal with band relationships and the toll that being in a band and trying to become famous takes on the members. Each go through the members personal lives in great detail and focus on the relationships they strive to have.
Both are jrock boy bands with lyrics for the soul. Music bring people together and change the way they live forever. Root for both bands to go pro as we follow their early days of member scouting, band formation, song production, underground gigs, image marketing to going pro. Both dwell on the music industry and their endurance to make it mainstream. Good watch for all jrockers!
If you enjoy your musical anime with a healthy dose of romantic drama, then Nana is definitely the first choice. However, Kaikan Phrase shares many similarities that will give appeal to fans, even if it doesn't have quite the same dramatic punch. If you're looking for a good emotional rollercoaster ride, then both of these titles are a great place to start.
This is my first recommendation because personally i don't like to compare anime to one anouther. I loved both of these animes. From the Rock aspect, to making it. The Drama that unfolds, how they got to where they are in life, Rivalries. Both Nana and Kaikan Phrase do an excellent job unfolding a story, and have amazing music to match it.
The overall feel of these two series is quite similar - young people who go through various things as they try to make it big in the music world and deal with relationships. If you like rock music and series that focus on friendship and relationships, you'll like both (although Nana s a decidedly more girly series).
If you like a good story about a small band trying to make it big and the human drama that results, both of these shows will give you a similar experience.
The studious and uptight Chiaki is well-known as the top pianist of his school, and dreams of becoming a world-class conductor like his idol, Viera; but his fear of flying (which makes studying abroad impossible) combined with a recent break-up and dismissal from his piano instructor causes that future to seem both bleak and unlikely. After collapsing outside of his apartment, drunk, Chiaki inadvertently meets a young woman named Nodame who, while quite talented at the piano, is unclean, clumsy, and haphazard. Despite being almost polar opposites, the two begin to grow closer and work, together, to overcome the obstacles in their careers.
Both are subarashi josei romance drama with great music. Classical for Nodame vs Rock for Nana. Light hearted comedy for Nodame vs epical slice of life for Nana. It's a tie for the best in music and romance genres. Must watch for all females!
You will love these two series. They are not very similiar, there are diffrences in characters mentaly, the way that their are working to makes their dreams come true, even music is completly diffrent. Nodame Contabile is more pure, altought Nana shows relationships and live more directly. But both are the best series about music in anime history .
Nodame Cantabile and Nana have many things in common, both are josei type animes, both feature music as a main genre (classical for Nodame, rock/punk for Nana) and both feature a nice romance aspect (romantic comedy for Nodame, dramatic slice of life for Nana), i recommend this one especialy for females and for those who seen one of them for sure they will enjoy the other one as well.
Each of these series are about the difficulties of the music world, have plenty of laughs, and the main a character that is similar in how absurd they are (Nodame and Hatchi). If you enjoyed one of these shows, you'll like the other.
Of course the series feel similar, having to deal with music, but moreso the feeling of similarity I get is from the way the music progresses the storylines. In both shows, they really put their souls into their music, and through this, they learn about themselves (whether that is a good or a bad thing).
both are great animes in which main character is trying her best to acheive her passion along side with love, romance and friendship valuesIf you like one you will for sure like other

Great characters, fun to watch and entertaining. Nana is little darker compared to Golden time.
Both are awesome and contain complicated relationships.
Golden Time also has many references to Nana throughout the anime.
Nana and Golden Time go through the difficult and complex times of relationships, both friendly and romantic. Nana is a bit more mature and realistic, but they're emotional rollercoasters with all the drama going on. Trust and betrayal, love and friendship, happy times and sad times, both Nana and Golden Time have that going on and will leave you wondering what could possibly happen next.
Both are very similar Nana appears in the anime a few times. Nana is darker since it's a little more realistic but both are very entertaining, watch both~!
Epic...Golden Time is the best anime.
Nana is good, because the Nana character in Golden Time, represents the Nana (dark) in Nana :).
