Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne

Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne

In the Middle Ages, a woman named Jeanne D'Arc claimed to hear God's voice. She led a lonely life and was burned at the stake, despite being the voice to lead France to victory in the Hundred Years War. In today's world, she is reincarnated as Maron Kusakabe, a girl whose mission is to prevent demons from stealing people's hearts. To do this, she must steal any artifact that they possess. Her best friend, Miyako, is a detective looking for the thief, without a clue that she's right under her nose. Will Maron be able to save the world from destruction, or will she be caught red-handed by her friend?

My-Hime and Kampfer are both titles where only select young women can possess super type powers.

Both series it is not thier choice, and in both different ones are pitted against eachother. It also helps the comparison that they are a bevy of atractive ladies.  My-Hime is a far superior title for execution and quality. But If your looking for something similar Kampfer might fit the bill.

Also Vise-versa, If you enjoyed Kampfer and have not already seen My-Hime it would be WELL worth the check out.

Both Mai-Hime and Kiba are highly emotional anime that center around the Summoning of powerfull spirit like beings. They have simmilar (and exceptional) artwork and soundtracks.

Also they both have excellent opening and ending sequences.

Le Chevalier D'Eon

Le Chevalier D'Eon

D'Eon is a French nobleman bent on serving his Divine Majesty Louis the XIV to the best of his abilities, following in the footsteps of his beloved sister Lia de Beaumont. However, his straight-forward role with the secret police is interrupted by the sudden death of his sister while on a diplomatic mission in foreign lands. In his desire to find the truth of her murder, he comes before the King and becomes closely entwined in the mysterious organization known as Le Secret du Roi. He quickly finds himself embroiled in a realm of spiritual energy where death is a gate to greater powers and the Psalm of the King brings destruction in its wake. D'Eon must ask himself what is the price of truth and who will pay it, as the French Revolution looms inevitably nearer.

Characters are incomparable. Settings are changed. Plot pace is different. Yet there is one major detail they share; their treatment of the predurnatural.

Each manages to make the protagonists abilities blend in the series, without overwhelming its plot. Still beyond this, there is an element of mystery that will make you wonder even after the ending.

If you're looking for a clone, you'll find a lot of differences. But if you savor subtlety with your preternatural- you may have interest in both.
