The god Mauser delivered unto a world of magic a prophecy: if the Scrapped Princess is allowed to live, she will destroy the entire world. But the knight who was to kill her could not end the life of a newborn child, and so she lived. Fifteen years later, her adopted brother and sister have sworn to protect her, and together they travel from town to town, searching for a life she can't have.
Both series take place in a medieval time, but based on high technology. They also have some nice figthing scenes.
IF you liked one you will like the other... Both of these series resolves around a female lead that winds up being hunted. The setting of both is in a post-apocalyptic world that has digressed into what we would consider the middle ages.
Hiro Hiyorimi is a boy who moved to the city to live with his sister; but as he was walking around town one day, he sacrificed himself to protect a girl from being hit by falling beams, and subsequently lost his life. Her name is Hime, and she is a princess who has the power to revive the dead with the flames of life. In return for reviving Hiro, he must work as a servant to protect her from any harm that comes her way. Yet even though Hiro now has a partially immortal life, his flames of life must be recharged daily or he will die yet again. Hime’s life is targeted by her siblings because the throne of the royalty is at stake, so Hiro must step up as a faithful servant to protect her life at all cost!
Both stories revolve around a similar plot; a royal family, monsters, and a fight for the throne. Both have blonde princesses with red eyes that massacre enemies, and both have weak servants they really care for. Altogether, the similarities between these two are quite amazing, although each manages to tell a completely different and compelling story.
I have mixed the titles up several times, but reguardless, there are simularities between the animes. Princess that have to fight; both family and servents alike almost/are killed.
In Princess Resurection, the knights that fight for Hime are killed inorder for Hime to escape to the human areas; just as Alita escapes from the castle that was raided.
If you liked either of these shows, watch the other!
In times of olde, humans live in constant fear of demons known as yoma. These vicious creatures can take the appearance and memories of humans they have devoured, thus blending into society as they freely feast on human flesh. The key to stopping the yoma lies with the tolerated yet feared Claymores - women who are half-demon, half-human, and fully fated to become the demons that they hunt. Meanwhile, in a village, the young Raki has been banished; his only crime was losing his family to the yoma. Raki is drawn to a Claymore named Clare, and together their journey begins. While Clare fights the yoma plaguing the land, can Raki help her in her struggle to retain her humanity?
Well claymore and murder princess have both got a lot of sword fighting, (sword vs sword and sword vs something else) claymore has got a higher blood and gore level than murder princess main characters are in both women which have overpowering skill in combat and in the end.. both are also fighting an enemy that should be far stronger than them. i think alltogether those who like murder princess should like claymore and other way around.
Rally Vincent and Minnie May are twogirls with a lot of fire power. When they are not busy managing their gun store, they are working as bounty-hunter duo the Gunsmith Cats. Rally's incredible gunslinging skills and Minnie's obsession for big explosions make the GunSmith Cats a deadly force, and every task an adventure.
Both series feature central characters with a 'team' and they're all bounty hunters. Sufficiently short run OVA's as well that you get to the meat of the plot quickly. The idea of 'run and gun' isn't just for action, the characters are built this way during the shows as well so no time is really wasted on getting to know them before getting to the story, both story and characters are built as the show goes on.
The dark action fantasy manga follows the title character, Akame, a girl who was bought, and raised by the Empire as an assassin. After meeting Akame, a boy named Tatsumi vows to stand up to the evil of the corrupt Empire with the secret assassin group Night Raid and special weapons known as Teigu.
Murder princess is terrible and Akame ga Kill is less terrible. There's numerous shared themes between these two anime. Lots of action, blood, people dying, a lack of a coherent story, almost nonexistent character development and last, but certainly not least, boobs.
I would say Akame ga Kill is more violent and the themes displayed are MUCH more interesting.
