I love this anime its a romantic comedy that allows characters to be annoying oblivious normal romantic all emotions you can imagine. I love the animation, especially the emotions from the characters are designed very well. I enjoy they have a prince character thats a female !

Slice of Life Highschool Manga Artist Who has no emotion and 3 dudes who cant figure their brains out ! i love it

THERE NEEDS TO BE A SEASON 2 !!!!!

THE STORY IS: Sakura is a normal high-school girl who has a crush on a tall, handsome boy named Nozaki. When she decides to confess her love to him, she instead confesses that she is a huge fan of him & Nozaki gives her an autograph. She later finds out that he is a popular manga artist & gets roped into helping him out with his manga.

I knew this was going to be a typical "school life" & shounen" type anime, but Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun doesn't really do anything different to help it stand apart from the rest in this genre. Mainly, it's very standard & dull. Over the course of the anime, there isn't anything exciting that happens nor is there anything that, to be honest, would make you wanna continue watching because there really wasn't much of a story. After Sakura confesses to Nozaki, it's all just interactions with friends, going places, & the friends' love interests. Everything that happens is just Nozaki looking for new material & ideas to write for his manga. There honestly is not much outside of that for Gekkan Shoujo. I understand that it's supposed to give the impression of a "comedy" in a way. I just didn't see the humor where it was supposed to be had. I could've stopped watching this anime a few episodes in & not care if I ever came back to it.

ANIMATION & SOUND: Animation was up to par with a normal 2014 anime. Nothing special or any big movements to be had. Just a simple school life anime with no action or anything major. The sound was decent. The music fit the theme of the anime even though it didn't stand out. The voice acting was typical for this type of anime. Nothing major in the emotional department. Just your standard run-of-the-mill school life style anime.

CHARACTERS: This is another thing that was a turn-off for me in Gekkan Shoujo. The characters didn't go anywhere growth wise. It was a typical "what you see is what you get" scenario. Sakura is a girl in love that can't express her feelings at all & has the internal thoughts to go along with it. Nozaki is very bland. There is literally nothing special about him except he is mostly always focused on his manga. The supporting characters are hit or miss. I would liked to have seen more development with all the cast though, but nothing happened in the end. They were supposed to be stereotypes & they succeeded in that, but to me there wasn't anything more for them to go off of.

OVERALL: Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun wasn't a terrible anime, just felt very lacking & unsatisfying. There wasn't much of a story to follow nor were the characters anything you could relate to or entertaining to watch. I would recommend people to not watch this anime overall, but if you decide to watch it, it has it's charm, but it's nothing special. There are definitely more complete animes out there in this genre.

I found this anime while scrolling through Netflix and thought it was such a cute, light hearted anime. I grew attached to the characters throughout the season and was hoping everything would work out. THIS NEEDS A SEASON TWO!! I would just by the manga, but I'm already behind on all of the manga I've already bought hehe

I loved every minute of this show, usually it takes a lot for me to like something but for this show it only took livable characters. I loved all the interactions and chemistry everyone had with each other's. There was no plots or hiding meanings but I don't care for that. All the show needed was a group of friends having fun that you could laugh with. The comedy was amazing, so much more. I get why someone might not care for this show but I liked it a lot:)

A wonderful romance story with incredable character development and an absolutly hilarious situational comady to boot. The opening theme is one of my favourite themes of all time. The animation and art style is crisp, clean and very attractive. Overall I would give Gekkan Shoujo 10/10 and put it as my favourite RomCom anime of all time.
