It has been three years since Principality of Zeon's defeat in the One Year War. The colonies are slowly being rebuilt, and life continues forward – at least for most. Remnants of Zion’s forces, the Delaz Fleet, have not given up. After biding their time, they launch their 'Operation Stardust' by stealing the GP02, a nuclear-armed Gundam Unit. A small group of Federation forces are tasked with trying to regain the GP02; but even equipped with the GP01, can they stop these Zionist troops before Operation Stardust reaches completion?

Myung, Isamu, and Guld were best friends until tragic events drove them apart. Years later, Myung is the producer and vocal genius behind Sharon Apple, the top-selling holographic pop idol; Isamu and Guld, on the other hand, have become test pilots for the military. When fate throws them together again, old wounds are reopened and Guld and Isamu resume their rivalry for Myung’s affections. However, there are bigger problems brewing in the background as the government reveals a revolutionary new hardware piloted by artificial intelligence – but, as Myung soon discovers, computers cannot always be trusted...
Both anime are about test pilots that end up getting into more than they bargained for. There's some romance involved and haunting pasts. The main differance between the 2 is that Macross Plus focuses a lot on music where the other more on taking out the enemy Both are sure to please and you do not have to have seen the other series in their franchises in order to watch them. Both are movies that shorten the series they come from yet you still don't loose the story.
