Momo is a young girl who finds herself on a bridge, waiting for someone; she doesn't know who she is waiting for, but she happens to encounter a boy her age there. He is also waiting for someone but unfortunately, does not remember her face. Momo and the boy then spend their afternoon waiting for their special someone. They soon learn that the bridge holds a legend: "Two people that meet on this bridge will surely meet again, becoming best friends or lovers..." Since Momo and the boy have been waiting a long time now for their unknown partners, the boy is skeptical of this legend; Momo then announces that she will make the legend come true, she promises him that they will meet again, and they part ways. Will the legend come true?

After being abandoned on a rainy night, Chibi-neko, a little kitten who dreams of growing up to be human, is taken in by Suwano Tokio. The human world can be a confusing place for a kitten, but Chibi-neko loves being with Tokio, who takes great care of her and plays with her whenever she wants. However, an encounter with Raphael, a majestic wild cat, shakes her belief in many of the things she held dear. Where does Chibi-neko truly belong?

Both Star of Cottonland and Minky Momo Bridge of Dreams surface as simple girly-looking movies that don't have much going for them; that would be right to some extent, but the two titles give a powerful message in the end. The events that occur in Cottonland and Minky Momo are not complicated, little drama occurs, and both possess a mystical feel. Things are very laid back. They are something to watch and reflect on.
