Metal Fight Beyblade and Cross Fight B-Daman are shounen battling titles at their most typical - young kids battle it out with various toys, plenty of tournament-style fighting and such to deal with. Try it on for size.

Crush Gear and Beyblade are two generic battling anime aimed at young boys. You'll get the same feel, the same progression and overall the same type of anime from either of these.

Live On Cardliver Kakeru

Live On Cardliver Kakeru

Welcome to the game of Live On! In it, people known as Cardlivers use collectible cards to summon mysterious creatures for battles. One such Cardliver is Kakeru, an elementary school student who wants nothing more than to beat his friend Ai in a game. Live on Cardliver Kakeru doesn't deal with tops, but both it and Beyblade have a similar mood/feel, are clearly aimed at the same audience (young boys) and are stereotypical shounen/battling series. If you liked one, give the other a try.

Medabots

Medabots

All young Ikki wants is to have his very own Medabot, but his parents insist that he purchase the machine with his own hard-earned money. Though he can't afford a top-of-the-line model, Ikki finds, by chance, a special medal in the river; with it, any Medabot will come to life and accept the commands of its owner. After a fellow classmate is bullied at school, Ikki rushes to buy an inferior model of Medabot and places his medal inside of it. While his new companion - which he dubs Metabee - is functional, there's one important problem: Metabee has a serious attitude problem and refuses to acknowledge Ikki's commands. Together, Ikki and Metabee will duel opponents such as the Rubberobo gang and local bullies while they prepare for an upcoming Robattle Tournament - but their worst opponents are each other! Will Ikki and Metabee stop arguing long enough to climb to the top?

Medabots and MFB deal with young boys battling it out with objects (tops and robots) to become the strongest. This rec likely doesn't need more of an explanation, right? If you liked one, there's probably no way you'll not like the other.

Pokemon

Pokemon

If you watch series like Beyblade, you've likely seen Pokemon as well, as it's a similar title involving young people battling it out to become stronger. If on the off chance you haven't, it's likely your next best bet.
