Cowboy Bebop

Cowboy Bebop

Follow interstellar bounty hunters Spike Spiegel and Jet Black as they scour the galaxy for criminals with prices on their heads. Hoping to escape their past, they live on the spaceship Bebop, but it's a dangerous business and old enemies don't forget easily. Allies come from unlikely sources, however, as they find comrades in the beautiful swindler Faye Valentine, the genius child hacker Ed and the genetically engineered 'data dog' Ein. Will they be able to help each other though their respective struggles, or is their fate really inevitable?

Melty Lancer had the same sort of smooth bounty hunter air to it. I preferred Melty Lancer because it had lots of sci-fi in it, as opposed to a futuristic world that looks really close to ours, with rickety spaceships. Similar music styles as well.

Sakura Wars OVA 1

Sakura Wars OVA 1

Sakura Wars OVA I is the first in a series of productions related to the Sakura Wars games for the Dreamcast. The story takes place in early 20th century Tokyo, whose people rely on steam powered technology. Demons and mechanical beings are increasingly attacking, and must be stopped at all costs. The world's best hope is the Imperial Defense Force - Flower Division, a group of girls with exceptional abilities who must pilot the Spirit Armor -- mechanical shells which help to amplify their powers.

Not only are both of these series from-game-to-anime, but both focus on unique technologies (as well as a group of women who need to save the day!). I preferred the animation greatly in Melty Lancer, as it is much brighter and more vivid. In addition, ML was a bit easier to understand without having played the games.
