Both series are about fantasy with a twist. If you don't mind the bit of ecchi in Maze (or lack thereof in Slayers) you're bound to like the other, because both share the same sense of humour, the same tendency of typecasting characters, and the same oldschool anime feel..

In Slayers there is a group of people who meet up to form a union. The main characters are super strong to all other enemies.

In Maze there is once again a group of people who just randomly meet up and form a fighing union. The characters are strong to all comming forces some how.

In both of the series, the main characters--Maze and Lina Inverse-- are the strongest in there worlds. They beet the master minds in there series. Also the main characters love the other main character. As in Lina Inverse, she loves Gourry Gabriev. Maze loves "it"* self

*Maze is made up of 2 people unioned into one, brother at night and sister in day -- big brother-sister.*

Both anime take place in a fantasy world where the heroes have many adventures while traveling including having to fight the bad guys that are after them. The characters are pretty weird and crazy and often find themselves in some crazy situations.

In Maze, a brother and sister becomes someone named Maze (male at night, and female in day), and came to a strange world to escape there own. They end of protecting the new world by changing it.

In Those Who Hunt Elves, there is a party of 3, needs to get out of the strange world. They end up hunting for Elves for parts of a scattered tactoo spell on bodies of Elves. The party of 3 needs the gathered spell parts to put on a elf to summon a spell to leave and save both worlds. They end up not protecting this world and become criminals by changing it.

The animes have oposite goals, but have ironic twists that are the same, but same time trying to go in different directions. The ideas of the characters are the same though, they must fight to get what they want, and thats what tanks from the real world are for, just like battle suits in maze are for.

Those Who Hunt Elves II

Those Who Hunt Elves II

With Celcia having botched the ritual to send our heroes, Junpei, Airi, and Ritsuko home to their own world (not in the least due to Junpei’s loud mouth…), the trio must once again set out to collect spell fragments tattoed on the bodies of unsuspecting female elves. With literally thousands of fragments to collect, they, along with their cat-spirited tank, encounter everything from Satan Santa to the legendary pillows that make your dreams come true…

In Those Who Hunt Elves (II), after failure of the first series, the party needs to get out of the world still... There old world is starting to pop up in the elf world... They end up hunting for Elves ALL OVER AGAIN. This is a must once you finish the first series.

In Maze, a brother and sister becomes someone named Maze (male at night, and female in day), and came to a strange world to escape there own. They end of protecting the new world by changing it.=

Humans, who came from another world in search of a new residence, are now fighting against the Beasts, a human-like race who can morph into the shapes of animals. Wan of the Tiger Clan, Bud Mint of the Bird Clan and Mei-Mer of the Mermaid Clan are the three most powerful Beasts, and also the biggest threat to humans. The evil and demonic minions of the human race, V-darn and V-sion, have a plan: eliminate the three and acquire Gaia, the most valuable treasure of all. But the Beasts are after it too, and their Jinns, man-made clan totems, were created to protect Gaia no matter what. Things look up for the Beasts when they meet Tuttle of the Mermaid Clan and the little girl Yuni, who seem to hold the key for everything. Who will find the treasure first, the Beasts or the humans?

If you like Maze or KO Beast, You'll like the other, no questions asked. They both have mechas from combining people/animals. They both have super natural powers. They both oppress a stronger group. I just wish there was a way to do a three way recommendation in one rec.

In KO Beast, it takes 3 animals to make a mecha; In Maze it takes the princess and maze, even though maze is made up of two different people and tech. is three people for the mecha, the mecha requires only two person.

In Maze, the good guys fight the holders of the world; and so do the good guys in KO Beast.

This recommendation is a little hashed together, I just am really excitted, I'm going to watch Maze right now.
