Many insects call the underbrush and flowerbeds of the garden their home; one such insect is Maya, a curious and friendly honeybee who enjoys a good adventure and a playful time with others. Along with her friends Willy the Bee and Phillip the grasshopper, Maya meets a variety of characters including a lonely cricket, lofty cockroach, and steadfast army ants! Whether it's hiding from the sun or avoiding mean wasps, there's always a good time to be had in the world of the small!
Moomins are a race of white creatures that somewhat resemble upright-walking hippos. Moomintroll is a curious, young Moomin boy who lives with his family in Moominvalley. Together with his human, Moomin, and animal friends, he plays within the valley and has plenty of adventures and misadventures along the way. While sometimes a little scary and sometimes cute and funny, there’s always a lesson to be learned in Moominvalley.
In both series we meet with funny creatures and their every-day life spent in joy. These anime are calm, childish stories and both express the same feelings and values.
Whether you're depressed, disenchanted with the world, or just plain lethargic, there's one guaranteed pick-me-up that never fails: a good bite on the bottom! Luckily, there's an entire species of bugs just waiting to give your rear end that much needed nibble. Bottom Biting Bug is a young butt-chomping insect learning the ways of his kind. From experiencing the fatalistic nature of surprise farts, to partaking in special jaw technique exams and finding out about the legendary golden bottom, Bottom Biting Bug will give his all to perfect his abilities and give each butt the best bite possible.
Both of these shows are about young insects and their adventures. They're both directed towards a very young audience and therefore have little lessons in them. I'd recommend both to kids (I personally prefer Maya more).
In a world where creatures known as Pokemon roam and would-be trainers capture and battle the beasts, the young Ash Ketchum can’t be happier; he has finally reached the age when he can have his very first Pokemon! Along with the electrical Pikachu and human buddies Brock and Misty, Ash must embark on a journey to battle countless others and become the best Pokemon Trainer of them all! From the Johto region to the Orange Islands, there’s plenty of Pokemon to catch and adventures to find, even if the infamous Team Rocket stands in the way!
Both series tell a story of animals (if pokemon could be called like this...). They are also quite simmilar in the plot: both are about maturation and exceeding one's limits in order to be better.
It is the early 17th century in France. Dogtanian is a simpleton countryside dog that aspires to join the ranks of the Royal Musketeers – the personal guard of King of France Louis XIII and his Queen, Anne of Austria. Thirsty for adventures, he never looks back to an opportunity to save the day or his beloved Julliet. Together with his friends Sandy the horse; Planchet the servant; and the three muskehounds Athos, Porthos and Aramis; Dogtanian will fight Cardinal Richelieu's evil plots to seize the power of France. However, his goal won’t be easy, as Cardinal Richelieu has powerful allies that will do anything to defeat the noble musketeers including the Treacherous Milady, the ever-fleeting Count Rochefort and the clumsy Captain Widdemer.
Both targeted at children, these series often come as pair in the memories of those who grew up watching TV in the early eighties.
