Shinichi Kuruma is an experiment gone awry. With the ability to summon a lion and bear from his body and superhuman strength, he is one of many 'New Humans' created by Shinichi's own father, Genzou Kuruma, who wants to control the fate of those who will inherit the Earth. Alongside a girl named Ayaka who was injected with Shinichi's special blood, Shinichi must stay out of the reach of the other New Humans and scientists who wish to use his lifeforce to revive God; but most importantly, he must find a way to exact his revenge on his father.
Time has passed since Akira Fudo was possessed by the powerful demon Amon, giving him the ability to change into Devilman. Humans have become increasingly paranoid of demon attacks, resorting to murder of innocent civilians with mob mentality – among nicer things. Akira continues to fight against the demon armies with his companions – but when his girlfriend Miki is brutally murdered, his will breaks and the sadistic Amon is unleashed, controlling his body. The final battle awaits in Akira’s mind – can he defeat Amon and control his body once more?
It's exceptionally rare for me to see something so violent and gory that I'd have a recommendation for Amon; now is one of those times. Demon Beast Phalanx TV and Amon are chock full of disturbingly graphic gore (children aren't safe in either), and frankly BOTH could have come from the mind of Go Nagai given the endless ridiculous beast creatures (only Amon is from Nagai).
Trust me, this is an ideal recommendation.
Takeshi and Kentaro are two friends who have been together since they were infants. They were born in the same hospital on the same day, have shared every class in school and even vie over the same girl. However, soon the two friends become closer than they’d like when they discover they are the Chosen Ones that will defeat the powers of an evil being and his minions who are currently wreaking havoc on mankind. Together, the two merge and become a super fighter known as Barom One, capable of taking down monsters with ease. Can Takeshi and Kentaro band together to save the world?
Majuu Sensen is horrificly bad yet so ridiculous it's almost worth watching. Barom One is equally as bad but somehow not as good as Majuu Sensen. Regardless, both have a similar tone and low production quality camp, though Majuu is insanely more graphic and gory than Barom One. I think fans of one would like the other (WHY GOD WHY)
Two thousand years ago, the Demon Lord Dante was encased in ice by the powers of God, leaving a cult of Satanists on a quest to revive the dark master in the present. They have their sights set on Ryo Utsugi, a young man who is plagued by terrible nightmares of becoming a demon. Ryo is believed to belong to Satan, and thus is coerced by the evil doers into traveling to the Himalayas where Demon Lord Dante, and his destiny, await...
Demon Lord Dante and Phalanx TV are gore/violence filled monster fests with a very dark feel and tone. Phalanx fits a bit better with Devilman TV than Demon Lord Dante, but fans of one will probably like the other too.
