Having turned down a place as Kaido’s ace, Egashira Edawara, Kaido’s agent, still hasn’t forgiven Goro, and his dirty politics deal our hero a devastating blow! Refused entry into every school with a baseball team, Goro joins Seishuu High where baseball has no place and the girls outnumber the boys 452 to 38. Never one to balk at a challenge, Goro decides to set up a new team of his own to use to defeat Kaido; but first he must persuade the few unwilling boys at his disposal to join him before even thinking about how he will train them up to be good enough. Things at home aren’t easy either as his father struggles with the last days of his baseball career. As Goro enters the grown-up world of baseball where being an ace alone is of little use, he must learn to take responsibility not just for his own training but for those of the entire team...

One Outs

One Outs

Kojima is a baseball legend. As the superstar cleanup hitter for the Lycaons, he won himself many awards including rookie of the year seven times; but there's one title he never acquired: champion. In an attempt to find that special something Kojima feels he's missing inside, he opens a training camp in Okinawa. There, through a series of events, Kojima is introduced to a high stakes game dominated by the talented Toua Tokuchi, and subsequently loses a fortune. However, Kojima finally defeats Toua and due to their agreement, he enlists him to join the now poorly-ranked Lycaons - but Toua demands a high price: instead of a salary, he will receive five million yen for each out, and lose fifty million yen for each point lost. With a bad attitude and prodigal skills, Toua will help transform the Lycaons into winners once more.

You should definitely try One Outs next if you really like Major. One Outs has a fantastic protagonist as memorable and engaging as Goro. Except Toua Tokuchi is the complete opposite to Goro in that he's cynical, dark, and totally comfortable using sneaky methods to win. How he does this, though, is just as AWESOME as Goro at his most kick-arse. In short, One Outs is what you would get if you crossed Major with Death Note, and I think that should be recommendation enough.

Ren Mihashi is a timid pitcher with problems; he has no self esteem or confidence, due to the relentless bullying of his once teammates, and is reluctant to play baseball again. However, at Ren's new school, Nishiura Prefectural High, he finds himself picking up the mitt once more. Along with the help of alumni-turned-coach Maria Momoe, tough but supportive Takaya Abe, and the rest of his teammates, Ren will regain his confidence and show the game of baseball who's the boss yet again!

Well, both anime are about baseball, although the main characters are almost complete opposite the series themselves are quite similiar. They work hard but in reallity don’t achieve anything much. Ehh that’s what pisses me off the most in every Major season but oh well life’s not always fair is it now? Still, it’s a really good and enjoying watch for any sport anime fan.
