I watched Mahoromatic after I watched Chobits and I found them quite alike. Both of them are abit ecchi but in a really funny way. Chobits tells us the story about a robotgirl that comes to the human world and doesn't know anything. But she get to stay with a guy and helps him with his apartment and it reminds us alot of how Mahoro helped Suguru-san as a maid. If you liked Mahoromatic you gonna love Chobits.
Another magical girl anime you might like. Funny as hell, but not as Ecchi as Mahoromatic.
hark, young country boy finds persocon (android/personal computer) in rubbish heap... a very cute persocon... (you see where im headed)
Only one word can full express my fealings for this Chobits and Mahoromatic Animes.. KAWAII!!! These respective animes are of extreamlly good quality, in artwork, sound, and story. They also have a similer manner of how the story is portrayed. A cute robot/cyborg girl falls for a guy and or vise versa. However, this is why I like the series, its not all romance! There are episodes of violience, betrayal and well fighting. All together it makes for a easy watching anime that doest bore you, or get tired of.
Both Chobits and Mahoromatic is about human boys and their relationships to one or several android grils. Both include the classical types of character and ecchi comedy. Chobits is a bit more on the sweet side and Mahoromatic a bit more actionfilled.
While Mahoromatic has a strong combat edge, it's not all that different from Chobits in that the human/android interaction leads to some hilarious if sometimes depressing situations. Touching and intriguing, both series are fan-favorites for more than just the ecchi humor.
Both Chobits and Mahoromatic are based around robots and a "love story" to an extent. There's plenty of action to keep the guys interested and the love aspect to keep the girls interested. Plenty of jokes and perverse little in-jokes are in the anime, and can always bring a smile to your face.
Both romantic/comedies that test the boundaries of love between man and machine; while, of course, tossing in plenty of comedy in between. Highly recommend both series and the compliment each other very well.
I watched Chobits before Mahoromatic and found the story to not be far off. A boy who's pretty much alone has a non-human girl come into his life and cause alot of trouble.
They both contain plenty of giggles, and alot of sexual references. I think Chii and Mahoro are very naive about actual human nature in the same way which makes for some hilarious anime.
If you like either of these i'm pretty sure you'd enjoy the other.
While Chobits does not have the fighting aspect that you will see in Mahoromatic, it makes up for it with the romance, ecchi, and comedy. Both series involve a female android with a mysterious past that slowly come's back to haunt them. If you liked Mahoromatic or Chobits, I Strongly reccomend you watch the other.
Do you like hopeless guys 'finding' mechanically-created females? Then you'll like both series.
Do you like said females to be cute as a button? Then you'll like both series.
If you like said females fighting to protect you, then you'll like Mahoro. If you'd rather like said females learning to 'grow up' (essentially), then you'll like Chobits.
Regardless if you like one or the other, you should give both a watch, as they have great animation, good plots, and are worth a million laughs and more.
Both have a male protagonist that has a maid/servent counter part. They get to know each other and share some fun/embarassing situations, which eventually lead the protagonist to develope feelings toward the servent.

A series with a bunch of robot girls that fall in love with their owner. It's a bit more shallow in story than Mahoromatic, and has a little more over the top humour.
Lucky boy gets sexy little robot to live at home... possible falling in love ensues... enough said
Hand Maid May is another robotic maid romance with a slight hint of ecchiness compared to Mahoromatic but it's still a very good romance story. Although the maid in this series is no battle android...May, the maid android, has some spunk to her.
Both series have as a main figure a android maid. While the sizes of these two differ and so do the characters of both androids, I'm sure you will like the other if you like one of them. Mahoromatic is, even though the main characters are younger than the characters in Hand Maid Maid, intended for older public.
Robot maids, various sexy female friends all in love with you, so much ecchi you could swim in it. Can't go wrong really.
Hand Maid May and Mahoromatic are both about robot maids. One is obviously a robot because she's only a couple inches tall, the other is trying to hide the fact that she's a robot. Both were manufactured by a secret agency and placed into their current positions: one by accidental mail order, the other by request. Both would wish to be human.
Although the fan service levels are high (yes, android T&A abound), there's one episode (the beach/hot spring episode of course, if I recall correctly) where they "get it out of their system" and the rest of the series actually tries to tell a good story and do some engaging character development. Surprisingly high quality anime from what could easily have been a pure ecchi romp fest.
Take Mahoro, minisize her, and you have Hand Maid May. This brings in a whole new level of comedic situations as she tries to adapt to servering her new master.
It was just a juvenile search for adventure that brought young mystic Nakahito face to face with the android mega-weapon, Kurumi. With just a kiss, she is activated and answers only to him. In their travels they will encounter spies, army agents and rogue Steel Angels but the real discoveries lie in the heart of a young teen and the miracle he has awakened with a kiss.

Both of these animes are about a female robot that fall in love with there "master". Also both animes are filled with fighting where the "master" is drawn into the fight at points. I highly recommend both animes for others to watch
Robotic girls + Comedy + Ecchi, what more could you want? Each show has a colorful cast of characters and a nice plot with fantastic endings.
Maids, robots, romance, young boy - and much more can be found in both series. Strangly this both anime have quite similar atmosphere. Althrought both main female characters are diffrent - nevertheless they want to make "masters" happy.
These anime have a lot of similarities, both have Robot girls, and both have an unsuspecting young male character who ends up being looked after by them. There is a lot of funny moments in each and If you enjoyed one then you are more than likely to enjoy the other.
Steel Angel Kurumi, and Mahoromatic are both great anime. They both involve a young boy and the female androids that take care of them, wether it be cleaning or fighting. Both series are enjoyable to watch as the emotions of the characters grow stronger and become apparent. Plenty of comedy, fun, and Ecchi for everyone to enjoy. If you liked one don't hesitate to watch the other!
In both Steel Angel Kurumi and Mahoromatic, robotic maids develop bonds with their 'masters' who begin to have feelings for them. They also feature the secret organizations fighting behind the scenes theme, making them have similar reasons for the creation of the killer-cute robot maids. Throw in the ecchi that both contain (more so in Mahoro), and the setting is complete! Watch one if you enjoyed the other!
One day a light descends from the sky and splits into the ideal girls of Takeru and Ryou. That is where this gentle and vaguely romantic story about our ugly and beautiful world begins. Soon enough the story plummets into the secrets of global extinction and the meaning of life. Everything in this world that is beautiful has something ugly in it, and that ugliness is part of the secret of its beauty. Even for romance this is true...

oh my can they be more alike? This got all of the alien stuff and added some super powers too. And of course it got the same cute love feeling to it.
That same character design means the series is similar is not a vast fatc. Though the similarities of those two series are stunning. The main female character of those series are not human. Both series are on top of that fairly ecchi and has its accent on superpowers and comedy. The only main difference between the two series is the main male character, who do not have any similarties.
Mahoromatic and Kono Minikuku mo Utsukushii Sekai have a lot of things in common. Both of these shows are about having an ordinary life despite extraudinary circumstances. Both of these shows have a gentle pacing broken only by a fight every 4 episodes. Both of these shows are heavy on the fanservice. When you add the fact that virtually the entire vocal cast is the same it is impossible to like only one of these shows without liking the other.
Both of these anime have so many ideal things in common with each other. First of all, they were both drawn by the same artist, which was the first thing to attract me to the anime. Secondly, the boy who discovers this girl would be the everyday kid who has the normal, loser life. And Thirdly, the girl ends up to be a target for a super-natural enemy.
Both of these shows have characters that fill very similar archetypes/roles as well as similar themes. If you liked either of these anime, Mahoromatic or This Ugly, then it is more than likely that the similarities in the other will appeal to you. Also both of these anime have virtually the same crew working on them.
When Murase Takaya, an average and somewhat perverted boy, decides to buy a robot to keep him company, it is the robot that chooses him. However, when the maid is delivered, her particular programming leads her to refuse wearing her uniform, throw away his sexy figurine collection and run away! The two soon make up; and though their relationship remains complicated, they get along more and more in time. From wearing all kinds of costumes to taking care of kids, will Yui find of what she's made for?

Both series involve a robot maid, a dirty-minded young man, and the ensuing comedic chaos. There are a few particularly close parallels, particularly the destruction of stashed erotic items (photobooks in one case, figurines in the other), the complicated relationship between our leads, and the fact that neither of the boys exactly picks their maid themselves.
Chances are fairly good that if you've enjoyed one of these, you'll like the other as well.
If you like maid costumes and fanservice, you'll probably like both these series. If you like robots fighting epic battles, you'd better just stick to Mahoromatic.
If you have a maid fetish and you are into the Master-Slave relationships you gonna like it.The share common aspects but Mahoromatic is more serious and consistent and a true Gainax anime with all the elements that derives from this studio.
Harem anime with the MC receiving a maid robot who would do all his chores for him. Mahoromatic is the superior anime but that could be because Koharu Biyori is an OVA with 3 episodes whereas Mahoromatic has 2 seasons with a fully-fleshed out story.
There's even a cameo by the MCs of Mahoromatic in Koharu Biyori
Aoi Sakuraba, heir to the Sakura department store, has only one thing on her mind-- her beloved. Betrothed from a very young age, she has been in love with him, Kaoru Hanabishi, ever since. After Kaoru left his family, their bethrothal was nullified. Aoi sets out to find him. Will they be able to stand against the barriers that will try to keep them apart?

If you liked the house keeper theme and the cute/funny/ecchi love in this series, you should check out Ai Yori Aoshi. It's alos about a house keeper that wants to help her loved one but this time she's a normal human. Try it out it got all the stuff to make a good follow up if you liked Mahoromatic ^^
This may seem a strange choice, but there are similarities between the two series. Although Mahoromatic takes place in the near future and Ai Yori Aoshi is more in the present time, the two have similar comedy and fanservice styles. Also, I believe the music composer for both series is the same person. The music is well done for both series, setting mood and atmosphere correctly.
Both of these series have a similar warm and loving tone mingled with the usual ecchi comedy. Romantic comedies are a dime a dozen, but these two really stand out.
Naota Nanbada is a boring young boy who leads a boring life in a boring town. His older brother has left for America, and the closest he comes to any excitement is when his deadbeat dad has too much sake. But things change one day when a bizarre girl zooms up to him on a scooter and smacks him in the face with her guitar. What's more, once Naoto returns home he discovers that this strange woman has arrived ahead of him and moved in! Not only does she constantly engage in perverted activities with Naota's father and flirt with the young man himself, but she also claims to be an alien who is searching for the ‘Pirate King.' Now, Naota must learn to live with this new intruder, deal with an odd government agent who sports exceptionally large eyebrows and the mysterious Medical Mechanica, and come to terms with the fact that there are a variety of robots and weapons emerging out of his head - amongst other things. Perhaps boring wasn't so bad after all...

well... haruko isnt a robot or cyborg or anything, but she does complicate naota's life... a lot, not as cutesey as mahoro though
Both protagonists Naota(FLCL) and Suguru(Mahoromatic) are of around the same age and find themselves living with an attractive female character (it appears both are older) who are not actually human. Mahoro is an android and Haruko is an alien. Both boys have some link to the female lead's past that is crucial to the progression of the story, and there is also a romantic attatchment between them. FLCL and Mahoromatic also throw in some great robot fight scenes for good measure and top it off with some hilarious pop/anime-culture references.
On a random note, Vespa is mentioned in both series. In Mahoromatic Vespa is the organisation that Mahoro works for, it is also interesting to note (and I'm kinda proud I figuired this out lol) that the insignia of Vespa is in the shape of a hornet/wasp and Vespa is the genus that comprises around 20 species of wasp-like insects. Also the annoying teacher chases Suguru and Mahoro riding a Vespa scooter when they try to go on a date(like an annoying wasp). In FLCL Haruko is also cluelessly described by Naota as the 'wasp woman', and she also rides a Vespa.
All in all, both great Gainax creations and would recommend both to any fan who knows what to take seriously in life, and what to rip the piss out of.
Kei Kusanagi is a shy teenage boy with no romantic experience whatsoever... until he finds out that his hot new teacher is actually an alien! In order to conceal her identity, the two are forced into a pretend marriage... but is it really a pretense, or are they actually falling in love?
A recommendation along the same lines of Onegai Twins. Romance, comedy and angst. Anime crowd pleasers and they don't seem to have done either series any harm. Both good for you soppy romantics out there.
Shy teenager, no romantic experience, suddenly living with a girl...
Ryunosuke and his father are running away from his crazy mother when, feeling the urge to answer nature's call, Ryunosuke finds a cute little alley cat and decides to keep it. Almost immediately after, they are caught in a fire fight with his mother's lackeys. By placing the cat's brain in the robot, Nuku Nuku is born! Okay, we have the same magical girl/android/cyborg setup here. Lots of action and funny situations.. Absolutely non-ecchi (biggest style difference) but funny as hell.
A young master and a lot of fighting are the two things Nuku Nuku and Mahoro get to look forward to in their respective series. With cute, energetic androids defending what they hold most dear, what do we have to worry about? These series are a lot of fun, especially if you like combat and female androids.
Taro Hanaukyo's mother dies and leaves him alone, with one final wish: to go to Tokyo and find his grandfather, who disapproved of her marriage. When he arrives, however, he discovers that his grandfather has passed away and left his estate (maids and all) toyoung Taro himself! The problem? With the exception of his mother, he is allergic to females and their advances, something the maids offer plentifully in their attempts to help him succeed in everything from going to the bathroom to passing math class!

While the ecchi aspect of Hanaukyo maids is alot more appearant than the ecchi aspect in Mahoromatic. Both series are maid animes, Hanaukyo more than Mahoromatic. Hanaukyo maids is intended for older public in this case, since it has some more mature jokes. As a last point: If you like more plot, check out Mahoromatic instead of Hanaukyo Maids.
Do you like maids? Mahoromatic and Hanaukyo Maids La Verite have enough maids to drive you mad. They both also have lots of ecchi, comedy, and drama that will leave you drooling, laughing, and crying on the edge of your seat!
