Both Mahoromatic and He is My Master are about a boy and one or more girls who try to be his maids for different reasons. There is also a Mahoro doll in He is My Master, and the typical "how many days or money are left" idea.
When Murase Takaya, an average and somewhat perverted boy, decides to buy a robot to keep him company, it is the robot that chooses him. However, when the maid is delivered, her particular programming leads her to refuse wearing her uniform, throw away his sexy figurine collection and run away! The two soon make up; and though their relationship remains complicated, they get along more and more in time. From wearing all kinds of costumes to taking care of kids, will Yui find of what she's made for?
Both series involve a robot maid, a dirty-minded young man, and the ensuing comedic chaos. There are a few particularly close parallels, particularly the destruction of stashed erotic items (photobooks in one case, figurines in the other), the complicated relationship between our leads, and the fact that neither of the boys exactly picks their maid themselves.
Chances are fairly good that if you've enjoyed one of these, you'll like the other as well.
