Both Sailor Moon R and Magic Users Club are typically shoujo, with a few silly comedy elements thrown in. Both involve the use of magic; there's also some kind of battle in the end. The main reason I thought of Magic Users Club when I viewed Sailor Moon R is the use of the large tree (a tree?), but I realized there are a lot of other things such as the constant daydreaming of the main characters, and how the characters interact. Magic Users Club puts more effort into comedy, and there some small pervy jokes here and there.

If magic and hilarity is something you like then you should check out these two anime. There are some seriously spectacular funny moments in both of these series. The plot I could care less about but for an hour of laughter I can't think of a better choice than Magic Users Club or Dragon Half! And they're darn cute to boot.
