Fairy Tail

Fairy Tail

Lucy is a seventeen-year-old mage with the power to summon stellar spirits, but what she really wants to do is join a guild - and not just any guild. She has her eyes set on Fairy Tail, a notoriously reckless and outrageous group of magic users who are likely to be drunk or destroying buildings and towns in the process of completing a job! While in town one day Lucy meets a perpetually-seasick boy named Natsu who, through a series of events, reveals to her that he's none other than the fire-eating mage Salamander of Fairy Tail! Lucy is finally able to join Fairy Tail and quickly begins to take on odd jobs with Natsu and his gang for fame and profit. Along with her fiery friend, Happy the flying cat, Natsu's archrival Gray and their overseer the invincible and beautiful Erza, Lucy sets forth for epic adventures that leave an epic amount of destruction in their wake. After all, destroying a city or five doesn't matter as long as they get the job done... right?!

Fairy Tail and Magi may as well be siblings. They're both set in a fantasy-like universe where magic users are a common sight to behold. The two series also include limitless adventures, interesting/unique character designs, bonds between friends, and numerous battles. Both shows tend to be pretty silly, but they're not afraid to get serious.

Because they are both great animes, I wont lie though that Magi is better then fairy tail. But fairy tail is longer so you get more to watch but less the quality like you would get from most shorter animes.

These are both anime that take place in fairly unique fantasy worlds that teeming with life, magic and exciting action. These are both anime that feature large scale epic adventure that unfold over time. These anime involve protagonists that start off weak that grow stronger as they meet interesting power allies and foes. Each battle they fight causes them to grow and learn new lessons. Both these shows are shounen, but they take on some rather mature and serious subject matter including genocide and slavery. However, that's not to say that these shows always take themselves seriously, they both have a lot of comedy and less seriously adventures that can be quite fun to watch in between the more serious moments.

Hunter x Hunter is the better of the two shows with a more likable cast, a more interesting world, more consistent animation quality and isn't dragged down with bad filler episodes. However, Magi is worth watching if you like shounen action and can deal with some less than stellar animation at times.

If you want t a fun shounen adventure that can also do more serious arcs as well then try either of these titles.

These are both fantasy anime with large imaginative worlds filled with magic, strange creatures and quirky humans with unbelievable powers. These are both adventure anime featuring protagonists that learn and grow through all their battles along the way. Both shows are heavy on the action, but also blend in a lot of comedy with enough plot to keep everything interesting.

These are both shounen anime that create their own unique fantasy worlds. They both have a large cast of memorbale characters and it's all served with a ton of action. If you like shounen action then these are the anime for you.
