Though from the old school Lupin the III will always hold up. With spy intruique, murders, romance, and just plan action packed. This anime is for anyone. Story holds a traditional storyline. No main enemy. Pure character development. Animation is in the classic relm of time. What I can say is that from episodes nine thru twelve are animated from Hayao Miyazaki. Soundtrack is killer and will stand the test of time. Jazz and Funk Fusion domintate the pallette. I had worked on a album inspired from the OST of the series. Link to come soon. Charaters are the backbone of the whole entire series. A suave Spy who doesn't have to prove his strengths in just violence but can brink it to the table when needed. Sidekicks that know their weapons as well has they know and respect Lupin, and of course a conflcting love intrest. To who is to know who side is she on time will only tell. This is anime is a starter kit anime for anyone getting into the Japanese lifestyle. Can easily translate into English James Bond-ish mannerism but at always watch in Japanese. Amazing Show, Amazing Soundtrack that it all.   PandaBeard!

A the first in the classic mini-adventure comedy series about a simp-y but talented thief named Lupin It’s largely a hit-or-miss episodic anime. Some of the episodes are legitimately funny and exciting; others are boring or too far out there. All have some kind of over-the-top unrealistic occurrence. A few of the main/secondary characters are cool, others are annoying. There is some minimal character development here or there, but most of the characters remain pretty stagnant. They all make redundant choices that make each episode somewhat predictable but still entertaining.  The semi-antagonist “Zenigata” is the stumbling bumbling international cop who is hilarious in my opinion. Lupin is a master of disguise- so there is some minor cr$$dressing here and there. The animation is old (hell it’s from the 70s) but it’s surprisingly not terrible. Overall it’s a 6/10 mostly because the episodes are hit-or-miss. If you like anime like “The great pretender” and don’t mind older animation styles, I would definitely recommend this one to you.

Well this was better than I expected, especially for its time. It's very goofy and somewhat childich but that's part of the charm. The stories might get repetitive but the character dynamics are quite enjoyable, so if you want to take your mind off something and enjoy a silly old school fun, then I recommend checking this one out
