This is going to be a short review.

Why?

This is a short show.  Like really short. Of all the Lupin titles, outside of the random late 60's short, this one is right up there for itty-bitty. It is 10 minutes and some of that is credits.

The title is not going to make a lot of sense and becomes a game of Clue.  The mystery only becomes clear at the end of the episode (well, sorta) .

Everyone in the Lupin group was invited by Lupin to show up on an island.  As each one arrives, there are accusations that not all is what it seems by everyone.  Just imagine a room full of people who all know that each other is lying, but how they know does not become clear till the end of the show.

The animation is good at times, but choppy as well.  It does look cheap. It looks entirely like a web created episode at times. The Lupin crew are all dressed in their standard attire and the whole thing is basically in one room.  It could have been a play.

Needless to say the revelation at the end, stands as a funny way to wrap up, as you are guessing who is who. (that is all I can tell you without giving away the plot)

This is basically for Lupin fans.  You will have to have at least some sort of understanding as to the quirks and nuances of the cast.

This really is a swan song for 3 of the main voice actors for Zendigata, Fujiko and Goemon. It also was made as a commemorative episode for a 40th anniversary of Lupin release.

5/10 story
4/10 animation
5/10 sound
