Once upon a time, two brothers passed the happy days of their childhood by studying alchemy, which is governed by the equal transfer principle: an eye for an eye -- you can't get more than you give. But these brothers tried to defy that law, and a horrific accident resulted. Now, the older brother, Edward, is called the Full Metal Alchemist because of his metal limbs, and the younger, Alphonse, is a soul without a body, trapped within the confines of an automaton. Together they search for the power to restore themselves, to find the lives they lost so long ago...
In these series two characters seemed completely alike: Atsushi Otani and Edward Elric. If you liked at least one of them you'll definatelly like the other one. Both are short, hate to be called midgets, have a explosive atitude, but sometimes can be really serious and make really smart decisions. So although the themes of these two animes are different, Lovely Complex is about school romance and Fullmetal Alchemist is more fantasy-like, but the jokes surrounding those two main characters are really alike. So if you want to laught a lot - watch them both :)
Ten-year-old genius Chiyo, animal-loving Sakaki, loudmouth Tomo, athletic Kagura, weight-conscious Yomi and dim-witted Osaka are six friends who share laughs, good times, and a high school homeroom. With scary (and sometimes perverted) teachers, school festivals, penguin suits and general hilarity abounding, you can be sure that there's never a dull day in the life of one of these students!
Both series are very funny and combine all kinds of personalities. While Azumanga Daioh has only enclosed episodes, Lovely Complex is following a storyline throughout all episodes. I enjoyed both series and if you liked one, I'm sure you love the other one too!
With war on the horizon, the lives of the students at Tristain Magic Academy are in for a change. As her familiar, Saito is sworn to protect Louise and so must ready for battle himself... but with the abundance of pretty girls around, it's a toss-up as to whether Saito should be more worried about enemy attacks or Louise's own jealous rages! Can Saito and "Zero" Louise stand up to the challenge and protect their friends and country?
Lively, energetic, vivid, cute, having thousands ideas per second, not so fortunate in love, but not so unfortunate either - this is how you would describe main female character of LC as well as ZnT. If the girl was what you liked about series, you surely will enjoy another one :)

While Takemoto uncovers a path for himself, his love for Hagu is forcing him to lead a difficult college life. Takemoto, Hagu, and Morita are still trying to deal with their love triangle, and each of them must make a decision. Furthermore, Mayama must decide how to proceed with Rika, as she is leaving for Spain. The pain of love will continue to hurt many and even cause them to separate. Now, each of them must take on their chosen paths and walk towards the future.
So what happens when someone falls in love and the other person never realises? It is this theme that is common to both Honey and Clover and Lovely Complex. Because of the use of comedy and dramatic scenes, you feel that the relationships experienced in the anime are part of your very life. Through in similiar artistic styles and some great interesting script and a combination that covers pretty much every part of relationship forming. With both series there is a turning point from the past selves to their paths that they are taking.
