Ritsuka has nowhere to run or hide. He lost his memories and his mother’s loving support, and then his brother -- his sole defender -- was brutally murdered. He is entirely alone until Soubi appears, saying the words he most wants to hear, but refuses to believe: “I love you and will do anything for you.” Flung into a world of intrigue and magic, where bonded pairs battle and only Soubi can fight for him, he struggles to find his brother’s killer. Yet he must also face the most bitter question of all: if you can't remember who you were, does that mean you don't know who you are?
Gentle Himeko and reserved Chikane were born into very different backgrounds, but still became the best of friends. Their fates, they would soon come to discover, are intertwined in a fashion that they can't possibly imagine -- they are the reincarnations of two priestesses who once sealed the god of darkness Orochi in their past lives. Set to revive again, his giant robot-riding agents have set out to destroy the girls, one of whom is Himeko's friend who is in love with her. Riddled with memories of their past lives, the two try to survive long enough to cast the seal on Orochi again...
Kannazuki no Miko and Lovless are both the kind of shows that things are not realling explained in. They are more about the romances of the couples. Both are also filled with the anger and saddness of the characters. Both are also fighting couples. In both shows though they never explain really why they are fighting, and both endings are somwhat never explained.
Chisato Takatsukasa would like to think he's a normal concerned parent. His attractive son, Riju, has many male friends and Chisato is certain that they all want nothing more than to take advantage of him - and thus he concocts schemes to scare away each and every one of them. However, there's one man who doesn't seem to get the hint: Shunsuke Sakaki, Riju's best friend who is secretly in love with Chisato. Through a series of encounters Chisato comes to realize he has feelings for Shunsuke as well, but what about Riju and his feelings?
Like shounen-ai? Of course you do, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this recommendation. In my experience, most shounen-ai is pretty similar (everyone falls nicely into the seme vs. uke dichotomy, etc.) so if you like one (Kirepapa, for instance), you'll also like another (such as Loveless)
In Victorian England it is commonplace for the rich and wealthy to have a staff, led by a head butler, to run their households; the Phantomhive Estate is no different. The young and demanding Count Ciel Phantomhive, child owner of a toy company, lives in the grand countryside manor. Sebastian is his head butler, and the epitome of perfection; he effortlessly and gracefully completes his day-to day chores and fixes the countless mistakes of the other employees. However, whilst on the outside all seems prim and proper, a more sinister secret lies just beneath the surface. Sebastian is in fact a demon bound by a contract with the young count; he will loyally serve and fight for him in return for his soul.
Both of these anime have young boys who make older men do their bidding, and in most cases fight battles for them. The older men would "do anything" for their "master" for various reasons.
If you like children who have the dominant hand in an adult-child relationship then I can definitely see someone liking both of these.
With a past shrouded in mystery and a blank memory, Shiki Tohno seems to be just another "average high school student". That is, until he nearly kills a female vampire with his secret deadly ability to "see the lines". His journey to unlock the secrets of the Tohno family and unbury his own lost memories has only just begun, and now he must also help the woman, Arcueid Brunestud, find a lethal phantom named Roa, and kill it using his ability.
Both anime have darker themes and a bit of mystery to them. I also found similarities between the characters of Ritsuka and Shiki.
In the present, there exists a spiritual world unseen to the average human being -- the Feudal Underworld, a place where the spirits of ancient samurai warlords battle for supremacy, while influencing the land of the living. Ougi Takaya thought he was a normal high school student, until a man named Naoe Nobutsuna informed him that he is the reincarnation of Uesugi Kagetora, one of a clan that is dedicated to exorcising these spirits. With the help of old friends and the spurn of new enemies, can Takaya come to admit the truth behind his existence?
To start with, both series are shounen-ai; in other words, they deal with "boy-love". If you liked the element of romance, melodrama and supernatural fantasy in Loveless, then Mirage of Blaze is the series for you.
