Dual has Mecha and is less ecchi than Love Hina. Both can be catogirized under Harem Anime. In addition to that: I can recognize Mitsuki in Naru and the other way around, because they both problems expressing hteir feelings. If you like ecchi series, go check Love Hina if you liked Dual. If you liked the few mecha in Love Hina, check out Dual.

Elfen Lied

Elfen Lied

For Kouta and Yuka, finding the bloody naked young girl on the beach would change their lives forever, for better or for worse. Unable to speak or function as a normal human being, she is named Nyu by the duo, and taken into their home in an effort to save her. But what neither teenager knows is that this innocent young girl is actually a killing machine -- an experiment gone terribly wrong -- and it is only a matter of time before the murderer in her awakens again...

ForTheLoveOfLoli

This may be an unexpected suggestion. But if you subtract the blood and gore and flying limbs, and other objectional topics such as sadism, child abuse, and torturous "research", Elfen Lied is an ecchi harem anime at heart, with a hint at comedy. It reminds of Love Hina in how one socially awkward virgin guy lives together with a number of young girls in a traditional-style house, with all complications that could arise from this fact.

FLCL

Naota Nanbada is a boring young boy who leads a boring life in a boring town. His older brother has left for America, and the closest he comes to any excitement is when his deadbeat dad has too much sake. But things change one day when a bizarre girl zooms up to him on a scooter and smacks him in the face with her guitar. What's more, once Naoto returns home he discovers that this strange woman has arrived ahead of him and moved in! Not only does she constantly engage in perverted activities with Naota's father and flirt with the young man himself, but she also claims to be an alien who is searching for the ‘Pirate King.' Now, Naota must learn to live with this new intruder, deal with an odd government agent who sports exceptionally large eyebrows and the mysterious Medical Mechanica, and come to terms with the fact that there are a variety of robots and weapons emerging out of his head - amongst other things. Perhaps boring wasn't so bad after all...

If you take all of Love Hinas obsurdities and crazy situations (Mechatama!!!) condense them into six eppisodes then multiply them by three you kind of get a feel for what FLCL is like.

Full Metal Panic!

Full Metal Panic!

Gonzo does it again with this action-packed mecha comedy. She's an ordinary high school girl. He's a counterterror agent assigned to protect her from those who would steal the information locked in her mind. OK, so she's not so normal after all. Armored Slave battles and lovers' spats abound as Sousuke and his comrades try to track down the mysterious Gauln before it's too late.

If you liked watching Love Hina you might also like Full Metal Panic! Both anime include strong female characters and clueless males who are always getting themselves in trouble.

Genshiken

Genshiken

Ever wanted to join an anime club but felt its geekiness would hurt your reputation? Sasahara feels your pain. Genshiken, the Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture, is an organization of college otaku obsessed with anime, manga and video games. Their daily activities include holding impromptu cosplay photo shoots, braving the crowds and avoiding injury at doujinshi conventions, and tolerating harassment by Saki, a girl irked by her boyfriend's otaku-ness! It's a perfect match for Sasahara's interests, so why is it so difficult for him to join?

Both series give you the same comforting, comedic feeling of a group of people who grow to understand and be with each other. Both series have unique characters that you learn to love.

If you like anime like Love Hina, that show people sharing experiences with another, then you'll like Genshiken, which shows the same thing.
