Ichihara Momoko comes to Tokyo with plans to get accepted to Lambda Eight’s training school, become a famous voice actress, and meet and marry Ichinose Minato, her favorite voice actor. A solid plan, but will things really go so smoothly? There’s no question she’s got the lungs for it – unleashing her full volume can cause minor earthquakes - but does Momoko have the talent (and luck) to debut in the world of voice acting? Along with her new friends Yurika, Rinka, Tsubasa, and Amane, Momoko will put everything she’s got into passing kanji pronunciation tests, speeding through complicated tongue twisters, and making her way to her debut.
Ohana Matsumae is a sixteen-year-old girl with no purpose or direction in life. One day, however, she gets the chance to reinvent herself when her mother and her boyfriend do a moonlight flit to escape his debts. Left alone, Ohana goes to live with her estranged grandmother, but when she arrives she finds herself forced to work at the family’s hot spring resort, the Kissuiso Inn. With her grandmother considering her nothing more than an employee and a roommate who hates her, Ohana’s happy dream of a new life soon turns into a nightmare. Now the wide-eyed girl must learn the value of hard work as she attempts to make friends and familiarise herself with life at the resort.
While Hana-Saku Iroha is about Inns and Love Get Chu is about seiyuu and showbiz they are quite simiar. Both main characters, Ohana and Momoko are very straightforward, stron-willed girls who enter a new environment and try to manage work, relations and love.
Fumihiko Matsumaru is a salary man who works in the marketing department of a snack company. As a bachelor, he tried to date a girl from his company; but coincidently, he met Aka Onda, a rookie voice actor, instead. Through another stroke of fate, Aka’s house burned down that very night. With nowhere to stay and no family to aid Aka, Fumihiko took her in; and the next day, Fumihiko’s new marketing idea was accepted, and Aka’s being hired for the product’s voice actor! As the relationship of Aka and Fumihiko deepens, the more difficult their relationship becomes. Can they live together under the same roof while keeping the secret of their relationship safe?
Both anime are about seiyuu and their hard work. Ichihara Momoko from "Love Get Chu" as well as Aka Onda from "REC", they both are trying to become famous voice actresses.
