Planet Analogue: home to small creatures, barren wastelands, and the Black Gema Gema Gang! Made up of a veterinarian, a dentist, a physician and eight-year-old Piyoko, the dastardly but oft well-meaning group always finds itself in the most bizarre and unusual situations. From learning how to brush their teeth to choosing a new flag design, Piyoko and her cohorts are constantly in the middle of an adventure – especially ones that involve Dejiko, Puchiko, and the rest of the Di Gi Charat cast!
When the young Kotaro (errr...Rotaro) washes up on Papuwa island with a case of amnesia, he has no idea that his life is about to take a turn for the bizarre. With housemates such as the man-maid Liquid, an asexual snail and a transsexual fish with legs, Rotaro will have his hands full! But beneath the tranquility of the island lies a dangerous secret that could destroy the island, and the answer lies only with Rotaro. With enemies from his past afoot, his friends trying to eat him and a giant poisonous mushroom trying to get him high, what’s a young boy to do?!
If you liked the wacky antics of Piyoko and the gang, you'd appreciate one of the best random comedy anime out there: Papuwa. It's even more spazzy and ridiculous, and IMO, better. Just make sure to watch the dub (I know, I know) because for once it spins circles around the original.
What do you do when the Emperor of Japan has been replaced with... an alien from Planet Octopus?! Join an eclectic cast as they are visited by a Ramen Fairy, are reincarnated over and over, solve cases like detective pros, and overall have a laughably ridiculous time!
