In the year 200X, World War III began. Special bombs destroyed parts of cities such as Tokyo, leaving decimation in their wake. Decades later, ground zero in Tokyo – an isolated section known as the Black Spot – remains an enigma. Its residents known as Needless possess strange powers such as the ability to control fire or telekinesis, and are constantly hunted down by Simeon, a large pharmaceutical company with sinister motives and Needless of their own to do their bidding. Young Cruz is part of a resistance to fight against Simeon and its Needless figurehead leader, Adam Arclight; but after the resistance is brutally killed by Simeon’s minions, he finds himself saved by a motley crew: Professor Gido, scantily-clad Eve and badass Blade. Together, the gang fends off Simeon’s attacks and tries to discover the truth behind the corporation’s actions. What is Simeon really after, and why do they desperately want to find Fragments?
Both follow to the T the Shounen Genre and have similiar animation. Both Law of Ueki and Needless have the same goofy comedy, funny to serious boss tournament style battle, and have main characters which develop their special powers. Both have decent stories, the only difference is Needless inputs a good amount of fan service while Ueki is more focused on the growth of the individual characters.
Long ago the infamous Gol D. Roger was the strongest and most powerful pirate on the seas. As he was about to be executed he revealed that he hid all of his wealth, including the legendary treasure known as One Piece, on an island at the end of the Grand Line - a treacherous and truly unpredictable sea. Monkey D. Luffy is a spirited, energetic and somewhat dim-witted young man with a very big dream: to find One Piece and become the Pirate King! However Luffy is no ordinary boy, as when he was younger he ate one of the Devil's Fruits and gained its power to become a Rubber Man. Now in this grand age of pirates Luffy sets out to gather a crew and sail to the most dangerous sea in the world so that he can fulfill his dream... and maybe even his appetite!
While at first glance these anime seem nothing alike, I couldn't help thinking of One Piece as a watched Law of Ueki. I think Ueki (the main character) reminded me of Luffy (the main character of One Piece.) Both of them punch before they think and ask questions latter. They also both gather a "crew" or "team" and make friends of their enemies. If you couldn't help but love one of these main characters, I would take a look at the other.
In a bizarre fantasy world, students known as meisters are trained at the illustrious Shinigami Weapon Meister University; but the tools they wield are no ordinary weapons! Each meister is paired with a human-like being who can transform into a weapon at will; and after defeating a pre-kishin - a human whose soul has darkened - the weapon eats the soul within it. A meister's ultimate goal is to collect ninety-nine pre-kishin souls and one of a witch so that his or her partner will become an all-powerful Death Scythe. Maka and her partner Soul Eater; Assassin Black Star and his partner Demon Blade Tsubaki; and Shinigami's son Death the Kid and his partners the Demon Twin Pistol Thompson Sisters each vie for their ultimate goal, but plenty of challenges and adventures lie in their way!
Both of these shounen animes have very quirky characters and great battle scenes. They also have a light-hearted feel to them whilst still being intense enough to make you care when something happens to the characters.
Aya, Omi, Ken and Yoji are four seemingly normal high school boys, who make up an elite assassin group known only as Weiss. The hits involve taking out corporate businessmen and corrupt politicians; however, trouble arises during a routine job, when Weiss clashes with a rival gang of assassins, Schwarz. With Schwarz in the way, they will reach the limits of their elite skills while trying to defeat their ultimate target: the Takatori family...
Both series have very different plots. First, Weiss Kreuz It's about aya, omi, ken and yoji working for vice to defeat evil people. There is romance, revenge and a little bit of comedy.Unlike The law of ueki, it has comedy and action. Its about a guy named ueki who is selected by his teacher to fight battles to become a king of his world. These two series may have diferent plots but i know if you enjoyed watching one you'd also enjoy the other one
