Last Exile and Gundam Seed have the same main idea for a plot: to bring peace to the world that we live in. The action is a little different, but both of them are very thrilling when it comes to the speed of the ships. They are both enjoyable shows to watch.

He is admired by his colleagues, loved by his patients, and due to marry his boss' daughter, the beautiful Eva Heinemann. Against the demands of his superior, Tenma does what he believes is right and saves the child. However, his decision not only damages his prospects, but unleashes a chain of events so horrific that it might have come from the depths of his worst nightmares. Laden with guilt, Tenma begins a journey across Germany in search of a formidable young man who will challenge his morals, his love for life, and his very sanity.
It is a gut feeling I have that Last Exile lovers will also take a huge liking to Monster and vice versa. If you found Last Exile to be truly captivating and brilliant, you are probably looking for something to come close to its brilliance or even top it off. In my opinion, the only anime capable of that is Monster, an equally (if not equal, superior) captivating anime with a variety of complex characters, mystery, and adventure. Both anime have an engaging story told through an intricate world and share dark secrets. The characters are also equally likable and interesting with appealing character designs. I get a similar feeling when I watch Monster as I do with Last Exile: excitement and emotional highs.
The studious and uptight Chiaki is well-known as the top pianist of his school, and dreams of becoming a world-class conductor like his idol, Viera; but his fear of flying (which makes studying abroad impossible) combined with a recent break-up and dismissal from his piano instructor causes that future to seem both bleak and unlikely. After collapsing outside of his apartment, drunk, Chiaki inadvertently meets a young woman named Nodame who, while quite talented at the piano, is unclean, clumsy, and haphazard. Despite being almost polar opposites, the two begin to grow closer and work, together, to overcome the obstacles in their careers.
Last Exile and Nodame Cantabile are NO WHERE NEAR similar shows, however, their characters play out very similarly. Both Nodame and Lavie are the female counterparts of the main male characters, and when times get tough, they break down and push away their loved one. Similarly, both Chiaki and Claus are strong willed men of action, and push through any obstacle that gets in their way.
