At a school full of geniuses from varying fields of study, Taketo Akutagawa has a special – albeit different – genius as well: writing harem novels. Now amongst the other geniuses, he aims win the interclass competition and be recognized as the world’s greatest harem writer
Let's see... we have a very atypical school, a male protagonist that's somewhat disliked by his peers for different reasons, completely unrealistic situations, a very obvious love triangle and above all a lot of different kinds of girls for your pleasure, all ready to expose themselves multiple times per episode.
Yes, there's no way a fan of one won't like the other. I just hope you also like big censor bars (if you don't go with the BDs).
Horses dashing gallantly... Knights challenging their own limits... Magnificent, heroic battles highlight the horseback lance sport of jousting. One of the many people fascinated by this proud sport, Mizuno Takahiro, acts as a begleiter (an assistant) to jousting knights as he lives his rather tedious life at Winford Academy. This is the story of Takahiro and these female knights in their passionate, noble battles.
While the setting differs greatly, these are both ecchi harems set in a school environment, and that feature your typical dull male protagonist as he gets surrounded by beautiful suitors for no apparent reason.
These shows love to throw the fanservice at the viewer at any chance they get, with revealing outfits, plenty of forced "accidental perversion" scenes are in each, often at the most irritating of times. So a fan of ecchi and harems will likely enjoy each of these shows.
Due to his upbringing with a wrestler mother and an equally-as-strong sister who beat him up constantly, Kinjirou Sakamachi would rather die than be touched by the opposite sex. So when the boy accidentally discovers that the dreamy school idol (and butler of the wealthy Kanade) Subaru is actually a girl in disguise, Kinjirou finds his life becomes far more complicated. For in exchange for keeping Subaru's gender a secret, Kanade is determined to cure Kinjirou of his gynophobia, with Subaru's help, once and for all...
Kimito Kagurazaka is a extraordinarily average. Average grades, average abilities, average looks, average love life (nonexistent). That is, until one day he's abducted by a mysterious organization and forced to enroll a super secret, super elite academy for the richest, classiest, elitest of the elite young ladies. Turns out Kimito has been chosen as a “commoner sample” to better help the isolated and naïve girls cope with entering into normal society. But there's a catch—Kimito isn't allowed to show any romantic or sexual interest in the girls, lest he face gruesome repercussions. Can this commoner enter the secret world of high society?
The story is once again set in Seio Girl's School, the location of the first game and its spin offs. A beautiful, silver-haired student named Chihaya Kisakinomiya is transferring into the all-female student body at Seio. The catch is that Chihaya is a boy.
Mainly a recommendation based on setting (high class society) and romance theme. There are some light harem influences in Otomo wa Boku ni Koishiteru, but in Ladies versus Butlers this theme is a lot more strongly pronounced.
Additionally, while Otomo wa Boku ni Koishiteru has some minor fanservice-y bits, there is a lot of ecchi and nudity in Ladies versus Butlers. The pacing is also a lot higher in Ladies versus Butlers.
Be aware of these differences (especially in terms of pacing and amount of fanservice) when considering the other show.
