Peach Girl

Peach Girl

Momo is loud, shallow, a player, a betrayer, and one to best stay away from -- or at least, that's the misconception people have when they see her makeup, bleached hair and suntanned skin. In reality, Momo just wants the same friends, hobbies and crushes any girl her age would like. However, when her only friend starts spreading rumours about her, her boyfriend starts to doubt her, and the most popular boy in school starts to take a more then friendly interest in her, she'll have much more to worry about than just her appearance!

La Corda D'Oro and Peach Girl both fall under the category of "reverse harem," where one girl gets close to a few boys who all fall in love with her. The boys in both of these series also have really cute personalities.

Each deals with issues in high school and the attitudes that are faced. There are trials and tribulations that everyone has to go through - facing that daunting situation known as high school. Hino (La Corda) has to prove her skill at playing the violin and Momo (Peach Girl) has to put up with a skimming Sae. Both series are artfully-animated with exceptional plot detail.

both of these anime center around a girl who with the use of magic discover a world neither knew about. It follows the road they both take as they discover about themselves and those around them as they strive to reach their goals. It also follows the relationships and bond they forge with the people around them and the support they gain from those people to keep going even when things get bad.

These are both series that revolve around music. Full Moon is more pop music where as La Corda D'Oro is classical. They both use magic given to them by others to make music. The main characters are both girls who make friends with those around them.

I think that both of the heroine are very similar. They are at most the only one who can see the fairy. And both are shoujo with similiar art works. I think if you like Earl and Fairy you'll love the love triangle that La Corda D'Oro has.

Annalyn Annalyn says...

Fairy? Check! Multiple bishounen? Check! Both La Corda D'Oro and Earl and Fairy appear at first glance to be simple children's tales, but they prove to be much more than that. La Corda D'Oro has much less of the fantasy adventure element to it than Earl and Fairy, but the general feel is the same. Both anime have the all important charming gentlemen and fairy enchantments. If you like one, you're bound to like the other - I sure did.

These animes are both about a personal journey to become good at something. In La Corda D'Oro, a fairy grants Hino Kahoko a magic violin that plays the music in her heart. As time goes by, she come to love the violin and learns to play it of her own volition. In Hikaru No Go, Hikaru is visited by the ghost of a master of go and learns to play the game by watching before taking an interest and beginning his own journey toward the hand of god.

Both of these animes are about self-improvement and the impact a person's passions can have on others.

though very different in subject matter, as well as the subject of romance-

both are of kids who find a spirit. In addition the spirit wants the kid to use a talent the kid does not have for the spirits own satisfaction. And both result in the kid wanting to pursue the talent.

For Hikaru no Go this talent is Go.

For La Corda D'Oro the talent is the violin

Both of these animes feature a female character that changes the lives of male characters around her through her own example and personality. These animes are also about potential romance that will set your heart fluttering, but never quite resolve it.

In both anime theres a strong female character who isn't afraid to learn more about others and be friendly. They both have a somewhat bittersweet feeling that wretches your heart just a little but they also both contain those loving moments that shine.
