On the eve of nobleman Oz Bezarius's fifteenth birthday, he and his loved ones gather to celebrate in a coming-of-age ceremony. But after Oz steps under a long-stopped clock and the hands finally move once more - thus fulfilling a mysterious prophecy - he is violently thrown into the legendary prison known as the Abyss by three cloaked intruders. Existing in another dimension, the Abyss is home to lifeforms born within its walls known as Chains; these beings can only live in the real world if they make contracts with humans, binding their power to the person's body. However, there's a catch - in time, the human will be overcome by the Chain's power and then thrown into the deepest level of the Abyss. When Oz wakes up in the Abyss he is quickly attacked by hungry Chains, only to be saved by one named Alice - a Chain who appeared just before he was thrown into the prison. Together, the two make a contract and return to the real world, where they are enlisted into the Pandora organization - a group researching both the Abyss and the trio that threw Oz into it. Along with members of Pandora, the duo searches to find Alice's lost memory fragments that are scattered throughout the world, to discover the secrets of the Abyss, and to determine if there's a way their contract can be broken without killing either Oz or Alice.

Both Kuroshitsuji and Pandora Hearts have a similar darker tone to the plot, and both also mix this with a small dose of comedy. Though the subject matter is different, both are also based on the supernatural. If you liked one, then try the other.
If you liked Kuro Shitsuji or Pandora Hearts, you'd more than likely like the other just as much, or perhaps more. They both contain a small amount of action to feed your inner action-hungry self, but are both more themed to a more mysterious, darker tone, and contain both mystery and supernatural.
Another thing to note is that they both have similar clothing, which is a plus, and that every character has a unique, definable personality.
Both anime feature supernatural creatures. They also feature a boy dealing with his past, and the servant/master relationship is important in both as well. The settings are similar, and the tone and characters remind me of each other.
Pandora and Kuroshitsuji have the same felling, using a young boy as principal character. And actually the boy in both cases has a servants with weird powers.
I pretty sure that if you like one you will like the other..
Kuroshitsuji and Pandora Hearts have the same tone as well as similar characters. The two shows give a serious plot with strong willed young protagonists who are both accompanied by a supernatural being through a contract. They also share good comedic relief, if not entertainment, plus nice art and animation. If you enjoyed either Kuroshitusji or Pandora Hearts and would like to watch something akin to it, check the other out.
Having practically the same protagonists and simmilar definition of life and death, along with all characters that are not human, including shinigamis, demons and simmilar, relying on simple rules that settle the question of using the abilities of a demon (Kuroshitsuji) and a Chain (Pandora Hearts) without harming the vesel, a.k.a. the contract, and yet another also for the fabulous artwork and music, the mood of one anime is incomplete without the other. So, if you've liked one, you're most definitelly to like the other one as well.
Each of these series are fairly dark, center around a kid that has lost his parents, and contain many extremely powerful fighters. With a good mix of darkness, action, comedy, and a bit of supernatural things in the works, these series are a good fit.
both anime's were somewhat depressing at times and also funny at times and the main characters reminded me of each other
Both main characters in this series are in master servant relation, both are boys from royalty making contract with some demon. The end of it always means death to human, however they developed a bond and neither human or demon want to see each other dead.
Watching it you can find some similar characters, like white haired sweety-tooth guy witch another side to him.
And if above is not enough for you there is always nice art and animation in each of this series :)
The one show that reminded me the most about Pandora Hearts would have to be Kuroshitsuji. Maybe it is the mix of old world society and the supernatural. Or it could be the similar themes combined with the concept of a magical contract binding two people together for a common goal, but these two shows have a lot of similarities and I think if you enjoyed one you would find yourself enjoying the other as well.
Both anime have a "lord" in a lonely role with a servant who takes care of the fighting. Both involve frequent combat between the servant and some mythical creutures. Both contain a dark plot running in the background.
If you liked one, you will probably like the other.
If you want to watch some dark comedy style anime then Kuroshitsuji and Pandora Hearts are good shows to see. The supernatural undertones in both series come out shrouded in mystery and even some suspense. There is also a pleasant old fashioned feeling in regards to the clothing that bring the shows to life.
Both of these anime have a similar dark theme which will draw the audience in, as well as some of the similarities within the plot. These include a relationship where the child is the master and the adult is the servant, and will do anything for that child, although the two characters Ciel and Oz are severely different.
Both Pandora Hearts and Kuroshitsuji have a darker side to the plot; everything isn't as simple as it seems in the anime. They are both also really thought-provoking. Although the plot doesn't really seem similar, the way everything is portrayed and the characters' personlities are really quite similar.
Pandora Hearts and Black Butler are beyond similar. The two are set both back in a Victorian Era, which is the first good thing. Both are supernatural and have a lot of gothic style for boys. Both are dark and have the same similar feel, each to its own story and interests but you'll find the similarity soon enough. If your skeptical because you love Black Butler/Pandora Hearts but won't move on, you have to rid of that skeptism because you'll really be missing out. Try out either Pandora hearts or Black Butler, they are the most similar to each other!
both have a dark, victorian-age tone in the plot and have a more seriou main theme than most animes, though they dont lack comic elements. the charakter clothing is very similar and imo the Undertaker and Xerxes Break could be twins in both appearance and behavior. Both have the master-underling-relation in the main chars (ciel, sebastian and alice,oz) but it isnt really brought out much in Pandora Hearts. before i keep rambling on: i think both animes are much alike and if you liked one, you really shoud try the other!
In Kuroshitsuji and Pandora Hearts, the story revolves mainly around the Ciel/Oz along with their butler/servant Gil/Sebastian. It can be very dark and mysterious at times or funny and interesting. Ciel and Oz will remind you of each other at times too.
If you liked Pandora Hearts or Kuroshitsuji, you'd also like the other because both of them are set in Victorian England where the master of the mansion is entrapped within a devilish contract with an unworldly creature. The relationship between the two characters evolves throughout the story. They become inseparable and indispensable for one another. If you like Horror lived by cute English characters, you know what to watch !
If you like the protector role for the rich boy, I reccoment also Pandora hearts.
It is almost the same, I hope you like it to!!
Both are rather dark and based off of supernatural things and creatures. They both also contain enough comedy to make the shows similar and also contatin similar types and ammounts of humor. The characters are somewhat similar. They're both fantastic shows, and if you liked one you'll like the other as well.
A supernatural contract lies at the beginning of both of these stories, bindng the main characters together. Both series mix some comedy with a mainly dark plot, with fantasy, action and some mystery elements. Furthermore, the stories take place in somewhat similar settings filled with nobles and pretty dresses.
Both Kuroshitsuji and Padora hearts have dark plots with demons and loyal servants. There filled with mystery and a slight bit of comedy here and there. There plots are both really good. There Dramatic and have a certain element that they both posses.
They set in a world surrounded by magic. Both of the stars are young with parent issues. Both of the stars have an older care-taker/bodyguard watching out for them. Both have similar darker plots.
both have dark themes surrounded by the supernatural and mysteries. The main characters are young noblemen that aren't happy-go-lucky with perfect lives.
The main character are both rich and has a servant. They're both great anime with dark undertones.
Both shows are based on a ''young master'' main character, and are set in Victorian England. Also, both shows feature some really dark themes, despite the main character being a kid/young teen.
You get a similar feeling from both anime's. It's as if you're comfortable with one, you'll be comfortable with the other. Perhaps it's the animation. Either way, if you enjoy one, the other is sure to grab your attention.
They both have the same 19th century England vibe, have loads of magic, deamons, what more could you want?!
Both have a main character of a young rich boy who went through a traumatic event. They are both smart, and neither have parents. They are both action animes and have an interesting plot.
Seriously there are so many other users' comments on this, why did you have to go pick mine.
Victorian era, master/servant relationship, few demons here and there. These are good anime, people, you should watch them.
BECAUSE THEY ARE JUST SO GOOD

In each anime two characters are bound together. One of those will face a terrible fate but each must go on a journey before time runs out.
The dark themese both Pandora Hearts and Black Butler are very addicting. If you love Sebastian then I think you would find Gilbert an interesting character. Also I love Ciel and he would hate Oz but that's just what makes it better.
Have you ever felt like the world would be a better place if certain people weren’t around? Such grim daydreams might occur when watching the dismal daily news, but on one fateful day, Light Yagami finds that these daydreams can become reality. By pure happenstance, he comes across a black notebook entitled "Death Note", whose text within states that whoever's name is written on its pages will die. With the aid of the death god Ryuk, Light takes it upon himself to rid the world of its corruption, ushering in a new era of purity one death at a time. But as Ryuk foretells, Light's actions will not go unchallenged...

The main characters in both, Death Note and Kuroshitsuji, get something supernatural to their lives (Light finds a death note and Ciel gets a "one hell of a butler") and they use those things to achieve their personal goals.
Both series also feature death gods (shinigami) that play quite an important role as the plot thickens.
Death Note and Kuroshitsuji both have this dark atmosphere (although that is relieved a little bit by the means of comedy in Kuroshitsuji) which is caused by devious plotting and it just sucks the viewer in.
Both are great, pretty fast paced animes with great plots (at least so far, I haven't finished Black Butler!) c:
both have dark themes. The main characters, Ciel and Light, are young and rather than portrayed as innocent "angels" show the side of humanity we know we are all capable of- revenge, hate, a desire to control ourselves and our surroundings. The willingness to do whatever it takes, use whatever tools at their disposal, to achive their goals, whether it's a demon butler, a notebook of death, shinigami, or the people around them.
Both follow protagonists that have a ruthless disposition and a willingness to sacrifice anything to achieve their goals. They use the otherworldly beings that appeared before them as tools to change their world to match their desires. The story arcs are fairly similar to each other. Finally, the main characters have an otherworldly helper, a demon in Kuroshitsuji and a shinigami in Death Note.
They both have a good scary atmoshere, that makes you wanna see more of it.
While in Kuroshitsuji the main characher Ciel has a demon butler in Death Note Light has a death god as servent.
I enjoyed both Death Note and Kuroshitsuji. I found that Kuroshitsuji is better for people who like occasional unexpected humour. Death Note is a lot more involved and is very deep in plot. It would be hard to start in the middle of the series and pick up all of the plot correctly.
Both animes are rather short but are certainly worth watching. They have very similar dark undertones, and both Light (Raito) Yagami and Ciel Phantomhive are somewhat likable characters, despite their attitudes.
They are both detective animes, where the main characters have to fight to survive. Kuroshisuji is based in Victorian Times and Death Note is more modern. Both animes have supernatural characters in, and have different ideas of death and beyond.
They both have sort of a dark theme to it with the main character having some kind of demon thingy following thme around everywhere. (Ryuk + Sebastian). They both have a plot of solving cases (Though in Kuroshitsuji it's more of a side-plot) as well.
oddly enough I can't argue with this one, we're looking past what kuro is about, but more about the similar ideas these two had going for them.
Both animes have a supernatural spark in them, both with a young man expressing hate and anger, and wishing for revenge
I recommed Black Butler if you watch Death Note is because of the style it has. It's theme is a dark mystery type of theme. Like how in Death Note it involves a bit of England (like how Wammy House is in England) but in Black Butler it is only set in England but only in a less mordern timeline, unlike in Death Note the anime is set in the 2000's. It also has a guide type of person to guide the main character to accomplish thier goal such as Light Yagami and Ryuk (Death Note) and Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian (Black Butler). Both animes have the same type of characters but kind of have the same plot such getting revenge on those who wrong the protagnoist of both animes. That is the reason why I recommed Black Butler if you watch Death Note.
both involve very smart and complex characters. as well as being very strong mentally in black butler they are also strong physically as well as the art style being particularly similar
Both shows have a supernatural component. Death Note has Shinigami while Kuroshitsuji has angels, demons, and death reapers. Both are gory and dark. Each has a sense of mystery; in Death Note, Light Yagami is trying to lead L astray from the fact that he is Kira, while in Kuroshitsuji, Ciel Phantomhive is trying to figure out who killed his parents. Both main characters seek justice while using the supernatural as an aid.
Shinigami and crime based plot that contain dark humor and mystery
They're similar - both kinda dark, both really amazing. Death Note and Kuro are different genres, and Kuroshisuji has more blood, but both are dark and have extremely attractive male characters.
Because it has the same dark disturbing earey feeling to if with three of the most loved and hated characters N ,L and Light plus death note is as a massively well none anime classic that if you are a teenager who is new in the anime life should try death note it's an all time loved with great characters and an a amazing plot line that will always keep you on the edge of your seat at all times with moments that will surprise you and even confuse you and make you cry and laugh and hate one of the main characters and there will be twists and turns so let's get down to the plot it's about a kid called light who found a mysterious black note called the Death Note that came with it's set of rules that can enable him to kill a person by writing there name down
The dark themes totally come out in both series. Anyone who likes dark anime, mystery anime and psychological anime would like both Black Butler and Death Note.
Both are extremely mysterious, and are easy to watch. Definitely recommend if you’re into anime that revolve around crime and mystery
Same genre and well as feel to the whole story.
The whole tone of the series is a little dark and maniacal but if you like this series then I would definitely recommend watching the other one as well.
Butler as well as Light are a hell lot of fun and always keep the ante up.
Both shows have a dark atmosphere. In both shows the main characters get something supernatural that they use to achieve their goals. Both shows have dark creatures that play a big role (shinigami, demons, reapers).
I recommend this because it is good! FudbejejrhejdjdjjdksksndndebnevjgjgigjvjguchchvjvjvjvjMgjdkutdkyrskyrzjysmymhuhzmuzmhhzmfzhfmzb

In present day England, a war is being fought. The average citizen does not notice, but vampires are running rampant among the populace, and it's up to the Hellsing organization to contain the bloodsucker threat, using even their own weapons against them. Alucard, a vampire himself, is the best agent the organization has to offer, answering only to Integra Hellsing herself. No one knows much about this mysterious figure fighting against the occult, but things starts to change after he “recruits” a new agent to the establishment...

To be honest i find it strange...but to me Sebastian from Kuroshitsuji really resembles Alucard from Hellsing (in more than one way). Also the atmosphere that these animes create feels quite similar - wicked.Aside the different storylines and time setting, both animes have bloody taste and bits of dark comedy. While Hellsing focuses on action and bloody scenes, Kuroshitsuji deals with serious problems in a comedic but still macabre way. The two main protogonists of the shows above are dangerous demonic creatures that must carry out their missions while serving human masters. And they do it...flawlessly and with style.
In both there are demons, which serve humans. Sebastian looks like Alucard, especially when he is in his "fighting mode" and Ciel looks like Integra in her childhood. Phantomhive family serves the Queen and executes her orders, and Ciel is the young successor of this family. So it looks pretty similar to Hellsing, and even if they have different atmosphere, if you enjoy one you will like the other too.
Both series parallel each other so often it's startling.
Both lead males are psychotic monsters, with the insane smiles to prove it, serving under a human master with complete control over them.
The master figures also parallel. Last in a long line of English nobles wit a vendetta against anything threatening their queen. Another parallel, mentioned there, both set in London though Kuro lacks the awesome english dubbing.
Simliar story mix of demon hunting and enough comedy and action to blance each other out
Both anime are talking about evil side servants. About masters and servand realationships. About fighting with evil, power, politic and survining.
Kuroshitsuji and Hellsing are quite different at first glance, but after a while one will notice how similar they actually are.
Both, Hellsing and Kuroshitsuji take place in Great Britain. The Hellsing Organization (led by Integra Hellsing) and Ciel Phantomhive (the main character in Kuroshitsuji) are both dedicated to follow Queen's orders and they have a powerful person out of this world (Alucard, a vampire and Sebastian, a demon) on their side to help them out with their objectives.
The atmosphere in both is dark even though that has been relieved with the means of comedy in Kuroshitsuji, whereas Hellsing has only few humorous parts (and it is dark humor, of course).
When i started to watch Hellsing it just remembered me Kuroshitsuji. The same gothic/dark atmosphere is unique and wonderfull in both animes. Both animes events are situated in London, and both are about strange/mystic creatures. So, if you like dark atmosphere and gothic style with a lot of violence, you can be sure that you will like both of them.
One a vampire and one a demon. Both serving masters for the excitement they add to their neverending lives. Alucard and Sebastian are very similar in these ways and more while the shows themselves resemble eachother as well. They both have a similar mood and allover feel. Anyone who enjoyed one will most definitely enjoy the other.
Both main characters - Alucard and Sebastian are unstoppable semi-god creatures, They are obeying orders from their masters also their personal character are similar.
Their masters - Ciel and Integra can also be compared eg. they want their orders to be carried out without failure. And in both cases orders are being issued by the queen.
I am sure that if You enjoyed one then the other will be good choice for You too.
Okay the plot is very diffrent but something about them reminds me about the other. ex. talking a lot about full loyalty to the queen and some scenes in Hellsing reminded me about some in Kuro..
Also the Integra - Alucard and Sebastian - Ciel relationsship reminds me about each other.
Hellsing is a lot darker, but both are very enjoyable ^^
I think if you liked Kurshitsuji (Black Butler) you'd also like Hellsing. Both are similar in that they take place in England, and both deal with demonic forces (being the lead characters) who serve human masters that will do anything to protect their queen. They are both rich and dark at the same time, providing quite a bit of dark comedy and a lot of action.
Take a look at Sebastian. Then, slide your eyes over to Alucard. Notice anything? Both are very skilled fighters, far beyond their human counterparts, and both serve a human master. The anime themselves have a similar feel, with some dark, bloody parts staining the quick-witted English gentlemen banter.
They're very similar in that they both take place in Europe and a powerful family employs a dark creature to do their bidding. The only difference really is that Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) has some comical moments where Hellsing is mostly serious the whole way through. They have a very similar feeling though so if you liked one there's no way you won't like the other.
At first glace Hellsing and Kuroshitsuji might seem different but after watching either you'll start to notice the things they have in common. even the main characters are very similar, both Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing and Earl Ciel Phantomhive have that something that makes them different while also relying on some unhuman help (Sebastian and Alucard) to get the job done. Enjoy one and you should watch and enjoy the other.
While both anime have their differences, once you keep watching, you'll see how certain things about them parallel to each other. For example, though Sebastian is a demon, and Alucard is a vampire, they have similar traits & are both servants. Ciel and Integra are both very similar as well, and are both masters. (Integra for Alucard, Ciel to Sebastian.) Both anime have an amazing OST too.
While Black Butler is about demons and hellsing is about vampires,
They both feature a dark servant you will love. If you loved sebastian:
You will LOVE alucard. Note that hellsing is much more mature than
Black Butler.
Both of them have this really gothic vibe that I personally enjoy a lot. The use of supernatural creatures is also perfectly presented in both of them.
In the early 20th century, Kazuya transfers to a prestigious academy as part of an exchange program between Japan and Saubure, a small European country. But while Kazuya would love to make friends and have a typical school life, the boy is shunned by his ghost story-loving peers who believe that he's a "Black Reaper" to be feared. Things change one day when Kazuya wanders to the top of the library and discovers a lush botanical garden, and a beautiful, small, blonde-haired girl named Victorique who rarely leaves the building and is fascinated by unsolved mysteries. Together, the two develop a budding friendship and take on many chilling and dangerous cases that even the famous local detective Grevil can't solve.

Cause in the both are the factor butler and servant, the two have a tsundere protagonist capricious and conceited, but we love them anyway, besides the fact solve mysteries makes these two series similars, so if you wanna watch an anime with the same tematic, is recommended ;)
What they both have: A stubborn and demanding child-like main character, myteries to solve, European theme (clothes, buildings, ect.), complicated character relationships, mysterious characters, and a hint of comedy.
What the lack in eachother: Kuroshitsuji incldes actual supernatural-activity, whereas Gosick's supernatural events are all solved using logic and science (Of what the episodes show so far; Gosick is still an ongoing show.) The characters in Kuroshitsuji are a bit more refined and reserved, whereas Gosick's provides slapstick. Gosick's main envirmonment consists of a school in a made-up English-like country.
Overall: Both are really good shows. I praise Kuroshitsuji more though for it's dark demeanor. That is personally my style. I would rate Kuroshitsuji a 4.5/5 and Gosick 4/5.
Both anime are very similar in their story telling. They have a larger plot, or story arc, that is fed by smaller sub-plots, and arcs. These take the form of various mysteries the protagonists solve. They also have the same setting, you could watch one and get the same feel from the other, if you wanted to continue watching an european styled anime.
If you're looking for Black Butler only with a more sophisticated plot, more realistic characters, a sharper wit, and less homoeroticism, then Gosick is the way to go. The two have the same feel--dark, sinister period mysteries--but the execution of Gosick is infinitely superior in every respect.
When it comes to the plot, these two are similar. Both are detective stories with supernatural elements, though there are lot less of them in Gosick.
Concerning visuals, these two have similar invornments and clothing styles. This is because they take place during roughly the same period of time, late 19th century/early 20th century.
Kuroshitsuji is mostly the darker of the two, but if you liked one there is no stand-out reason that would stop you from liking the other.
Both solve mysteries with an england setting. Fairly smiliar characters as well (needy main character). Both appear supernatural.
Kurushitsuji and Gosick are somehow similar. Kinda scary but good :) If you like the one I ensure you, you'll love the other :)
Both shows give that awesome Victorian - era feel which not many shows have been able to achieve. Other than that, there is no real similarity, but you may want to give it a try if you want more of that Victorian-era England feel.
Both animes are very similar in tone: They are both period pieces set in Europe and involve the protagonists solving mysteries which eventually transitions into a an overall story arc. The mysteries also have an air of the supernatural about them. But at their hearts both anime is about the relationship between the main characters.
Both of these anime are related by detective sense and main characters characteristics because trey're both arrogant.
It's all been said already: they are similar in the historical setting, the theme of solving mysteries, a bit of funny and supernatural elements. I think the animes have a similar atmosphere, though Kuroshitsuji is a bit darker.
Both occur in a similar time period with the two main characters in a master/servent relationship as they solve various mysteries. Gossik is more focused on the mystery aspect though and includes a bit of school life and such. Black buttler has a bit more comedy although the atmosphere is darker, while Gossick still has a good bit of comedy just not as much and the atomosphere is brighter.
Similar mystery solving techniques. kuroshitsuji is supernatural and has lot more action whereas gosick is more romance, but i loved both
There seems to be an excessive amount of anime based in the Victorian era, but I'm not complaining, they're awesome. Gosick and Black Butler are just another couple of anime based in a time when excessive frills were still a thing.
if you loved anime that take place in europe on 18th to 19th century, this is a must watch anime!

If you enjoyed Sebastian's complete loyalty to Ceil and how he looked BA while doing so then this is the anime for you. They both have stories that include the supernatural and have serious moments with a twist of humor. True the "butler" in this series is kinder and more lighthearted he still has that "I would do anything for my mistress" feel
Butlers, maids, demons, and monsters. These two shows are similar in just about every way possible. The only significant differences I can think of are that Inu x Boku SS's young, rich kid is female, whilst Kuroshitsuji's is male, and that Kuroshitsuji is a much darker show than Inu x Boku SS. If you like one, I honestly can't imagine why you wouldn't like the other.
Inu x Boku SS is exactly like Kuroshitsuji. The main character is small, ignorant and commanding. The butler is tall, handsome and extremely, extremely loyal to their master/mistress. Inu x Boku SS is more of a light hearted story, the butler in Inu x Boku may seem more wimpy, but he has a hell of a bad-ass background so... yea
Both of these Anime's include a butler/master relationship with the butler having extra ordinary powers that make them "One Hell of a Butler"! The butler's would do anything for there masters. These are both really amazing shows and don't think that just because you watched one means you've watched them all. Kuroshitsuji AKA Black Butler has many amazing characters each with there own super powers or extrodinary traits. Inu x Boku SS is the same way. But the powers and the story lines are soo completely different from each other. Inu x Boku SS has more romance between the butler and master than Black Butler but Black Butler makes up for the lack of romance with an amazing fast pace plot line with tons of drama, action, fantasy, and comedy mixed in as well.
THESE ARE TWO AMAZING SERIES!! I fell in LOVE with Black Butler first and have just recently found Inu x Boku SS and now I'm head over heels in LOVE with it too! I can't stress enough how absolutely amazing these shows are!! YOU MUST WATCH THEM!!!!!!! They are amazing!!!!
Alright, so in general I just like shows with butlers of some variety in them. Both of these definitely count.
Although InuxBoku SS has more of a romantic genre in it, the two stories both are centered on a master and its butler based on a sort of contract. While InuxBoku SS is a more of a lighthearted and sweet anime, Kuroshitsuji is a dark yet with a tint of comedy.
If you liked Inu X Boku SS/Korushitsuji, I would recommend giving the other one a go. They both share a plot centered around the relationship of a servant and master, of which both possess a form of supernatural power. They also both have various other characters whom also aren't quite human and provide comic relief.
In X Boku SS is more of a romance and has only a few fight scenes, that can't compare to Kuroshitsuji, however, Inu X Boku SS possesses a romance element that Kuroshitsuji does not.
Both servants are fiercely loyal to their masters and both share an unique relationship, that transcends a normal servant/master relationship.
Anyway, I enjoyed them both and would recommend one if you enjoyed the other :)
Inu x Boku SS focuses on a high school girl with blood of a monster in her, and her body guard in similar circumstances. Black buttler focuses on a deamon buttler who has to serve and protect a young boy. Both the boy and girl were somewhat abandoned by their family. Both the bodyguard and the buttler are tasked with protecting and serving the child. While Inu x Boku SS is more in the modern world and Kuroshitsuji is more in an Old England setting, the two stories have many things in common including monsters and demons and some comedy along the way.
Supernatural themes in both, a "relationship" of sorts between the main characters (more prominent in Inu x Boku). Both protected by the older male counterpart.
These anime are both based upon refined wealth, sophistication... and astonishing dysfunction.
1. Supernatural beings are centrall to both
2. Wealth, power and prestige
3. Both central characters are protected in a master/servant relationship (sometimes grudgingly) by servants with deadly skills and deep, dark secrets
4. Comic relief comes often with both stoic, small-statured central characters being shocked into indignance by the conduct of their more light-hearted companions
5. Both central characters experienced trauma and live with a heavy burden from their actions and their identities, and prefer isolation to company... but are secretly lonely
Both Anime has Interesting & Best Butler..Young Master/Mistress is bit of Obnoxious & Tunsare...as well as Likeable & Unpredictable Characters...Worth Watching..

Both of these series are set during the Victorian period and contain demons, which if you like that sort of time setting then both of these series are worth a viewing. These series do differ in their portrayal of demons, D.Gray-man is more of the demons are quite hollow and undeveloped, evil and must be fought, whereas Kuroshitsuji places a demon as one of the central characters and there is more depth to the character. Both of these series also manage to successfully combine and maintain a nice balance of comedy and action, whilst coping with some fairly dark plotlines. So if you enjoyed one, then try out the other; you could be in for a very pleasant surprise.
They both are supernatural and involve with hardships and mysteries. They both have action yet a slight bit of comedy in them. If you like supernatural action i highly recommend these shows. There is non-stop action in each episode of each show which makes it very entertaining and they also have some episodes where its nothing but humorious.
I'm not entirely sure why, but when watching kuroshitsuji it reminded me a lot of D.Gray-Man as well as Darker than black.
though i am not 100% sure why i found this resemblance i am pretty sure anyone who likes any of these three series would like the other two.
D.Gray-Man and kuroshitsuji are noticeably similar however in numerous ways, they are both fairly gothic and dark anime, with often, not too subtle comedic undertones and comic-relief characters.
although i didn't enjoy this as much when watching D.Gray-Man, as i have read the manga and could pick out the filler episodes, i found this in kuroshitsuji, not preferable to serious plot development, however i mostly didn't mind it either.
so, if you like D.Gray-Man especially, i would strongly reccommend Kuroshitsuji (and vice versa).
The mood of the two series are very similar, having a dark feeling with occasional comedy relief. Both involve demons, the supernatural and a main character with a tragic past.
They are both dark and have a slight comedy feel. Even though they are both filled with action they still have a very strong story-line that makes the show 10x better!
There is something in the eye ;)
Not much to add to other peopl'e recs other than powers and supernatural goodness in both.
They also both have a good solid amount of episodes and interesting characters. The tone is also similar.
Both shows have the same Victorian vibe, also both have demons in them. The stories are not really similar however watching either one of these two shows reminds me of the other.
Although they are very different, both have engaging characters and a good story! Both have their funny aspects mixed with a serious side that balance well
Both take place in the 19th century (although one is a fictional version). Both have supernatural elements. They don't have a similar storyline at all, however, they do have: extremely well-developed characters, great story arcs, loveable main characters, good balance of comedy and action, and beautiful artwork (manga and anime). Both are a must see!
both center around childish but also mature characters. who do what they believe in. they both have a funny but serious plot.

In both Kuroshitsuji and Makai Ouji, both MCs are headstrong young men from wealthy families, have experienced tragedies, and are surrounded by a multitude of good-looking bishie demons. With a touch of comedy and plenty of drama, the similarities between these two shows are hard to miss.
Angels, demons, rich people, and more homoerotic undertones than you shake a stick at. Good in one, good in the other.
Has similiar vibes and a dark atmosphere with a slight light side. The level attractive outfits that the characters wear is also there.
Demons, taking souls, occult, and dealing with some supernatural beings plus hot butlers in both these animes give them a similar feel and provides a similar experience. Both also take place around the same time period in history.
Rich guy young student lead character in Black Butler and Devils and Realist. A demon associate of immense power though to be honest I lean toward Dantalion as being more powerful than Sebastian with respect to his position and demonstrations on how well he matches against even the most powerful of angels in the series. There are butlers in both with shall we say altnerate identities? Demons, monsters, heaven, and hell feature as prominent elements in both in one way or another.
Both feature demons and a young master, both are about spoiled rich kids, both have dead family members and both tell an interesting story with good fights.
its like everybody's already said demons, angels, headstrong rich kid who's sufferred tragedy, great comedy, master-servant relationship... Kuroshitsuji is way, way, WAY weirder than Devils and Realist though, and a far superior anime series imo.
I dont know.. i like both and very much.. maybe Kuroshitsuji is better because it has 2 series. But both are about demons and noble mens and I like these motives.
i think if you like black butler or devils and realist your gonna like the other because it has the umm demon vibe to it lol and they both are very intresting and amazing animes and have very hot main characters
the concept of summoning a demon and them serving you is a common one in the anime world, but bessides this trope, the anime differ vastly. both are borderline BL tho, so there is that
In the late 19th century, the British Empire nobility reigns while its working class suffers at their hands. Sympathetic to their plight, William James Moriarty wants to topple it all. Frustrated by the systemic inequity, Moriarty strategizes to fix the entire nation. Not even consulting detective Sherlock Holmes can stand in his way. It's time for crime to revolutionize the world!

Victiorian London settings with morally gray main characters who are nobles and investigate crimes. The villians are often fellow nobles and solving the crimes often leads to the death. While Moriarty is grounded a bit more in historical fiction, Black Butler aligns to the supernatural with demons and such.
They have similar time/era setting
Art is magnificent in both animes
Stories are different, but they have a similar feel
Boht are MASTERPIECES
If you want more murder and mysteries in Victorian England, featuring characters of the morally grey variety, look no further. The character designs feature a lot of beautiful men, which will further attract (pun fully intented) similar audiences.
Both take place in 19th century England. Both are dark anime with a lot of murder involved. Both have hot male characters.
Love! both this anime is mysteries and like the night. the characters is cool and like mystery.
Black butler dident i first love but when i come to season 2 and 3, was when i really was getting intressed for it. also the ova with the murderor case and the movie "Atlantic" is to die for.
Moriarty the patriot is a anime you want to know what happens next and how it will play out. i think why i find this anime most intressting is beasuse of the main caracter.
I think you will love or like either one of this anime you will also like the other.
Both anime are placed in similar time and place- 19th century England. They are dark anime with a lot of murder involved and death in general.
Main characters are the one who are nobles and investigate crimes. I can see how they are both kinda comanding others.
morally grey protagonists in victorian England solve and commit crimes, whichever benefits them the most.
dude trust me, i swear. Ciel and Moriarty are both very morally ambiguous, and they both have a loyal-to-death second hand butler.
Cross Academy is a school with a difference: in a unique and experimental setup designed by the headmaster, it has a Day Class consisting of ordinary humans and a Night Class filled with vampires. Yuki Cross and her friend Zero Kiryu are school prefects whose job it is to make sure the secret of the Night Class is always safe; they patrol the school grounds at night and supervise the switchover of classes at dawn and dusk to prevent any 'accidents' from happening. While Zero is suspicious of vampires and hates the idea of sharing the same space as them, Yuki admires the Night Class for their beauty and sophistication; she is especially intrigued by their charming leader, Kaname, because he once saved her life. However, as Yuki quickly learns, not all vampires are amiable like the Night Class, and as terrible events unfold, Yuki must ask herself whether in a world where vampires are the hunters and humans are the prey, peaceful coexistence can really be achieved.

Both of these anime are drawn in a similar way. Also there is this motif of fate that is reoccurring in both of these, explaining how the protagonists cannot avoid their destiny.
Both animes have great stories and will make you cry. Very touching anime, and you certainly won't regret watching them rather you are male or female. Also there is the similarity between Sebastien and Kaname which is striking. Both are loal kind and sexy, although one is a demon and another a vampire. I certainly recommend watching them both.
The similarity to me is the animation and the fact that there are dark tones and a serious plot with comedy interspersed throughout each episode. They feel kind of related (even though one is about a demon butler and the other is about vampires in high school).
If you enjoyed Kuroshitsuji, you may also enjoy Vampire Knight.
Both of these titles contain supernatural themes, and main characters with supernatural abilities. They are also both quite dark in both their style of characterisation, the dialogue and also in the oft-violent themes.
Similar to the environment of an exclusive private boarding school, the sleek manner of the aristocratic and regal vampires, compared to the aristocratic and regal demon and his young, impossibly stoic wealthy charge ticks a few boxes in either direction.
Politics, infighting, treachery, power struggles and supernatural violence are all common elements to both title, with the forces 'fighting' for peace actually being the demonic character, whose loyalty to the young protagonist is second only to his efficiency in disposing of those who might bring the young master harm. Parallel to this 'powerful protector and the protected' feature in Kuroshitsuji, the highly-ranked dormitory leader vampire in Vampire Knight devotedly protects the young female character in quite a similar fashion.
The similarity I see is that they are both drawn similarly and have supernatural creatures (VK has vampires, BB has demons)
These two anime are drawn very similarly. On top of that they both involve supernatural beings, one being a demon the other vampire. Both are set against an aristocratic luxurious background. Both anime have a very dark tone, but with light comedic moments.
Alucard is a vampire who works for Hellsing – an organization responsible for hunting down and destroying other vampires. In these dark times, whoever is bitten by a vampire turns into a ghoul -- with the exception of Seras Victoria, Alucard’s newly created and appointed apprentice. Now, Seras must serve her master, Alucard and work for Integra Wingates Hellsing. Nefarious vampire activities are being reported throughout England, and it all traces back to the organization named “Millennium”. Will the Hellsing organization, under the command of Sir Integra Wingates Hellsing, be able to prevent a full scale war? Or will the world become a battlefield of destruction?

Both series parallel each other so often it's startling.
Both lead males are psychotic monsters, with the insane smiles to prove it, serving under a human master with complete control over them.
The master figures also parallel. Last in a long line of English nobles wit a vendetta against anything threatening their queen. Another parallel, mentioned there, both set in London though Kuro lacks the awesome english dubbing.
Other Parallels appear in the from of Pip/Brad, Rip Van Winkle/Jack the Ripper and so on.
Simliar story mix of demon hunting and enough comedy and action to blance each other out.
Both anime are talking about evil side servants. About masters and servand realationships. About fighting with evil, power, politic and survining.
Oddly enough Hellsing reminds me a little of Kuroshitsuji. I guess its because both master use supernatural beings to do their fighting for them.
Both series also have to stop this insane person from destroying England. Both servants (Alucard and Sebastian.) have their mischeif habbits they like to use on their masters, as well as attempt to provoke a reaction. The only difference really is that Sebastian is more calm as for Alucard he's a bit more active, that and their species.
Ciel and Intregra are also very similar by serving the queen, solving problems in secret. The only difference is that Ciel is more cold and could careless for somebody else and Intregra isn't as cold and well you get the point.
So really if you look closely you can see the similarities besides slight historical information. If you liked Hellsing then you surely might like Kuroshitsuji or vice versa.
Both Hellsing Ultimate and Kuroshitsuji have a master-servant relationship going on and takes place in England. The atmosphere in both animes have a dark, gloomy feel to it. In both anime the main character makes a contract with a supernatural being. Both of the main characters serves the Queen of England and eliminate any threat or concerns the Queen may have. If you enjoy one anime you might like the other
Honestly, I don't know how if you've watched one, you wouldn't like the other, because there's so many similarities, especially when it comes to Alucard & Integra, with Sebastian & Ciel. In short (without going into spoiler territory), you're missing out BIG time if you haven't watched both series.
